The nicest thing about Barnes and Noble is that you can come and stay awhile and carefully select your books. There was plenty of free parking when I visited, but I had to walk about 0.25 mile to get to the store. There is a Starbucks inside where you can ready your books after you purchase them, too. And then go back and buy more!

A great store you coming here for years but its still here and this is where you go to if you want high-quality books yes you pay retail but you get it now

I love these types of stores to death. They are my weakness. This particular B&N lived up to that same expectation. I was surprised to find their digimon figure since I feel as though its such a lesser known pokemon substitute. Digimon was my favorite growing up so I was very tempted to get one.As someone with unique tastes, of course their broad spectrum of genres and types of books were more than appreciated. They always have something for someone.

Posting as a local, I love what theyve done with the recent changes to the layout! They have many board games now, and gifts for kids. At the same time, still managing to keep the store packed with books!Im never disappointed when I stop by this Barnes & Noble. The checkout staff is always kind and sometimes they even have authors sitting by, talking with the public.Such a nice, relaxing store!

I ordered a signed copy of Andrew McCarthys book Brat and Im enjoying it tremendously. My complaint is about the shipping. My experience was a total nightmare. The book wasnt shipped when it said it would bit I overlooked that. Its said it would be delivered on a Friday....nothing. Then it said Saturday....still nothing. Once again, Monday was the same ordeal. I finally just went to the post office myself and had them search for it and finally got it. Next time I order a book I think will just buy in store.

First time at a B&N since I moved down here and it was a GREAT experience. I was made to feel very comfortable, right at home. Sheila was the clerk who helped me and she went out of her way to do so. They of coarse have a large selection of books. Even had 1 very hard to find book in stock. I hate that the store is so far from my house, but I will most certainly be back.

The Barnes and Noble at Market Commons is a Really Nice Shoppe. If I Miss My WSJ Delivery, I can Easily Purchase One There.Also, the Starbucks☕☕ inside is a Nice Place to Have a Cafe and Work on Your Laptop, Tablet, Phone etc. So Quiet and Relaxed.

The B&N Café here is terrible. They NEVER make drinks right just go to the Palmetto Pointe Starbucks. Worst Barnes & Noble Café Ive ever been too, honestly a disgrace to the Starbucks name.

Barnes & Noble has lost a lot of what they should be but they are still a good bookstore. The toys and games Im sure are there to attract children or young families but they distract from those of us who like finding a larger variety of books. I have discovered that if I want a particular book by a particular author that there is a wonderful privately owned bookstore not far from me and I will go there and pick it up on the shelf instead of having someone to order it in. A personal touch and customer service is much more important than a large box store.

Im a fan of Barnes & Noble. I like that they have books, magazines, collectibles, movies, music, including a huge selection of vinyl. This one has a Starbucks built in, like a lot of others. Its big, clean, and in a great location. It was nice to go in and take a load off while I drank an ice coffee and used their free WiFi to read stuff online. Its also one of the nicer looking Barnes & Nobles that Ive been to.

Studied a little. Good environment if you dont mind a little noise.

From books to lego sets. They have a big selection for learning and games for family night. And for you music people they have 45s and record players.

Missed the customer service of the past. Good selection of books but hard to find a staff member to point me in the direction of what I needed.

This location has all you need when taking your children to the book store. Very happy with my unexpected purchases that I found.

I remember when this opened up in the market common Myrtle Beach was very excited for this now as I come back as a tourist since I am no longer a local I truly miss this place. It’s quiet you can find books there’s things to do with your kids. When I lived here are used to bring my daughter to the events because they were free and what better way to spend time with your child then educate them and read with them. And it’s a win-win I get my coffee and at the end we both get dessert. Now I get to come back and enjoy it with the love of my life my handsome Cuban man who loves his coffee so we truly enjoyed coming here and since we live with her to cheesecake factory we like that we get a little taste of home in the Carolinas with a piece of cheesecake or a nice dessert. They have a nice sitting area to drink your coffee and dessert I always see a lot of groups or meet up here playing cards, knitting or what not I think it’s really nice that people in the community get together and actually talk to each other and chat over coffee instead of being on their phones like in the city life, that I’m accustomed to again.

Sure you can buy online, but in the store us so nice to browse. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They are so helpful in finding specific items or making recommendations. You just cant replace the experience with a computer screen. Plus you and sit and read a few pages to see if you like it.

Staff is exceedingly helpful and informative, a wide selection of books and an even bigger selection online. I’m a B&N member. The front cashier is friendly and always enjoyable to talk to. The café is also great and the ladies there always get my order correct, which makes browsing all the better. I hope they are well appreciated! But often there is only one staff member in the café during the busiest hours and things move slowly. I do understand restrictions in place with COVID, but I would strongly suggest hiring more staff for the café to assist the current staff.

This location is within walking distance of our home. We love walking to Barnes & Noble to check out the discounted books and the toys, games, gift areas for fun ideas. Then, of course, theres the Starbucks which we will enjoy a coffee and sometimes a sweet treat! Important note, you are NOT able to use the Starbucks app at this location!

Its always great. Barnes and Noble consistently provides excellent customer service thanks to friendly and very knowledgeable sales staff. If you like to read B&N is the next best thing to a library. If they dont have what youre looking for the staff will offer to find the title you want and order it with no obligation to buy.

They sell Starbucks coffee and have Starbucks signage but are unaffiliated with Starbucks (no SB gift cards accepted) I understand this now! Very nice bookstore in a great location!

This Barnes and Noble is very nice and located in the popular Market Commons. In the store itself there is a large selection of books along with a starbucks cafe. I personally enjoy going there.

Theyve ruined this store. Cut out most of the cooking section and seems like most of the store has been downsized. Used to love coming here but not so much anymore

I was in B&N Christmas shopping for my niece about 5-6 days ago. I had help finding a book on her wishlist and older lady helped me. When I went to checkout is the issue. The young girl in her mid 20s had a bad attitude. I walked up to the register and the whole time she was just scowling! Then she spoke and Im not sure if it was a New York accent or New Jersey or what but at that point I wasnt listening much because her attitude when she spoke was horrible. Just very confrontational, I just wanted to purchase my nieces gift and get out of there as fast as I could. I wrote this now because I sat here and wrapped gifts for 4 nephew 3 nieces and 2 children. When I got to her book I was reminded the bad experience in that store. I dont go in there hardly but when you are Christmas shopping for family you have to go places you wouldnt otherwise goto for any others circumstance. This visit will be the last time.

If you are a book and novelty lover you have found your mecca super store. The Market Common location is the one my family visits frequently and the place is always clean, the staff is helpful as well as pleasant. My wife and I were just in before our vacation. I just went back with my kids yesterday. Plenty of comfortable seating to get comfortable and stay a while. There is a Starbucks inside this location.

Not much for chains, but this bookstore is hand-down the best I have ever been to. They have the same selection youd expect at most of these places, but the customer service was phenomenal. The booksellers were knowledgeable, friendly, and didnt mind taking the time out of their day to help me find what I was looking for. The girl with the short hair, Kristen, was one of the most engaging people Ive ever met. She clearly has a passion for books and it shows! Thanks B&N for reminding me how great a bookstore can be.

I really like going here. I can spend the better part of the afternoon here most weekends. You can read, get a cup of (iced) coffee and theres plenty of inventory to browse. My favorite is the graphic novel section, which is bigger than most places by a lot. Plus, as soon as you go outside, youre already in Market Commons.

Pay your workers more

I love Barnes & Noble so my review of them is biased. They were excellent, as always. I wanted to add my review of the area, as well. The Market Commons and the area around it is very attractive. I could easily live here. The condos and garden homes looked like ones we have seen and loved in other places, the entire community has excellent shopping opportunities, both in and around Market Commons itself. Bravo!!

Yesterday my wife and I went to Barnes and Noble to purchase a gift for our friends 1 year old. The childrens section here is much better than books a million. There are so many new stories and old favorites for parents to choose from. All sections are labeled clearly and everything was easy to find. They do ask too many questions at the front counter though.
