I lived in myrtle beach at one time and this was by far the best place for anything and everything seashells i wish i could order on line it would be awesome if I no longer am able to travel but i could at least keep shopping if i could order online

They have pretty much everything you would want in a gift shop. I like it because its a little out of the way so it isnt as crowded and you can look with out bumping into alot of people.We also rescued a hermit crab who is doing great!

My family rescued a hermit crab recently. The woman who worked there helped me find appropriate sized and type shells. Our hermit crab switched shells immediately when we got home and offered our purchases. I am so happy. Good to know someone who knows crabs can help if you are serious about their care.

It appeared to be a great little tourist shop. However, my family and I went out of our way twice, well within the hours posted online and the shop was closed. There was no hours posted on the shop doors or any indication that it would be closed. It is the off season but like I mentioned nothing indicated different hours.

The lady here was more helpful the any store Ive been to. Alot to look at in the store and prices are very reasonable. Would definitely recommend

This is my most favorite place in the world. I have been going to Myrtle Beach for 20 years now, since I married my husband, and I get a lot of my souvenirs from this store. Everything is absolutely perfect. The service and the items in stock...there is always something to buy for everyone on your list. And oh my, the beautiful, beautiful shells I want to buy them all. That is my perfect place to be.

This store is so cool. Shells everywhere and so many sizes and varieties of shells. All sorts of awesome things made of shells and with shells. We were able to find so many cute gifts. We got 2 hermit crabs on our second day of our trip one was no so responsive after a few days and just before we went home we went back to the shop and the owner was so nice she let my daughter choose a new one but more importantly was concerned about the little one who was not doing well. Takes good care of her crabs far better than any other place we visited evidenced by the health and size of them. She gave us plenty of food and supplied extra shells for our new friends. We have our little babies at home now and they are in great condition have even changed shells and grown. We placed them in and bigger aquarium as any responsible pet owners would we knew what to do with them before even bringing them home. We are going to be going back whenever we visit.

Great prices, helpful employee. Great deal on t-shirts. My nephew and niece each picked out 4 shirts they liked and it only cost me $20. My wife on the other hand spent about $100 on shells. As long as shes happy I dont care what she gets.

Better make sure you want it when you buy it. Daughter paid for something and literally went right back in to get a refund and they refused. Guess thats their way of keeping your money one way or the other and no she didnt see the little no refund sign.

Wonderful selection of anything shells. They also have your typical beach souvenirs. Some things are a bit pricey but overall they have decent prices.

This store is awesome! They have tons of shells! Really cool!! Their hours are not posted and that is very frustrating but if you manage to catch them open, its worth your time. We made the trip at the end of February and they were open.

The greatest selection of shells. Very resonably priced. Hermit crabs, sharks teeth and shore themed decorations for you home. Definitely worth the visit.

Love this place. Its the only store in myrtle beach where you can find every shell you would ever want or didnt even know you wanted! They have all kinds of things made with shells to give you inspiration to buy some shells & make something yourself. They also have red eared turtles here! I bought my daughter one. Hes ( Ninja ) is about 2 months old now so still very small but I have spent just about $350. on this turtle now. Just to make sure he has everything he could ever want. I had a 10 gallon fish tank but I have upgraded everything cause they say he could live up to 80 years! So I figured I better prepare myself now..lol.

The owner of show world came from behind the counter took his time almost 20 minutes looking through the store in search of a wooden shark and a wooden dolphin for my daughter. We were so impressed with his kindness and willing to help during our 3 week vacation we went back to his store a half dozen times and purchased more items.

Great selection of sea shells for really decent prices! They have a great variety.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONT BUY HERMIT CRABS FROM ANYWHERE they are all caught from the wild and painted shells are toxic for them. They require at least a ten gallon tank and heating and lighting and humidity. Most people buy them as souvenirs and keep them in a plastic container or wire cage with no room or heating. Thousands of hermit crabs die each year from this. Please do research before buying. They can live up to thirty years when given right the right care

Person in the store at the time was very nice and very helpful. Store is very clean and well kept. Prices were reasonable. I would recomend for anyone looking for sea shells or or a nice souvenir.

This place is one of the best shops to get shells and and other novelties.

If you are needing or just wanting some shells, this is the place. Even had several nice varieties of dried corals. Lots of other thing also.

Nothing fantastic. There was a lady who wouldn’t let us look at the hermit crabs without her right there. I loathe when shops follow you around.... it makes you feel like a criminal. My daughter bought a few shells.

Merchandise and prices were okay... Doors were unlocked and there was a shopper but we were told they would only be open about 15 minutes. After we made our selection we could not check out until other shopper was finished so we could be rung up next door. Really strange way to do business.

They have really pretty shells, and they arent too expensive. They also have some really pretty necklaces and wind chimes

Love this little shop, we always stop when we visit myrtle beach.

Dont buy there red ear slider trutles from there u will make mistake and buy worm and unhealthy turtles from them believe me I know how to raise red ear sliders I had one for 18 yrs. My husband and my kids know how much I missed the one I raise so they took me on my birthday and surprise me and I end up pick out 2 red ear sliders. The first one I pick out u can tell his little claws where one of the other turtles bite him but I know I could nurse him back to health and my second one I pick out yes it was very active so I though I pick out good choices well we brought them home I already had a tank set up so that wasnt the issue and I notice yes they were eating but I notice the one I nurse back to health stop eating and he start to stay out of the water completely well he last for a week and I found him dead and the active one has been doing great didnt see any problems until it was time for me to clean the tank again and change filters well I seen a bunch of little worms and I know right then and there he was infected with worms and so I called the vet and they gave me some stuff to give him but its like he got worse then better because he stop eating and start doing the same like his brother did he start to stay out of the water today I found him dead. I called my vet and they told me that this store sells illegal Turtles and hermit crabs because Im not the only one that has lost my pets from this place. So please dont buy any turtles or hermit crabs from them u will be bring a very very sick lil aminals home that will brake your kids hearts. I told my vet u would think since all there animals r sick they wouldnt sell animals there anymore. I dont care about the money I care about the animals even the food they gave me I notice it was way to big for these baby turtles so I had my husband buy me the lil Bitty pellets that is for baby turtles because they can choke on stuff like that. Im very upset and so both of my kids r upset so Im warn everyone do not buy there trutles from them if u dont want to brake your kids hearts. If u r someone that cares about these trutles and hermit crabs report Shell City to stop carry them just because there tanks r clean dont mean nothing u will be bring sick animals into your home plus my vet thinks it was to late for my trutles to survive since she thinks they had the worms already in there lil bellys. People like shell city r about to make red ear slider trutles extinct and there will be no more around so please stop this Im not trying to protest Im just trying to warn people because I dont want someone to go though what me and my family have been going though.

Stopped by today 9/24/2018 at 5:30pm and the store is closed no lights no cars nothing. HOWEVER the big store to the left is part of it and per request will let you go pick out your shells with someone they were very helpful and friendly.
