Teach your drivers how to drive. The passing lane is not a camping lane. If you want to camp out go to state park.
They are pretty good.
Beware of Bailey Bark for Compost!!They sell a product they call Mushroom Compost which is actually not mushroom compost at all. Mushroom compost comes straight from the mushroom growers and is a very rich and nutrient dense product. Google Mushroom Compost and you will see that it is a clearly and specifically defined product used and sold by landscaping companies across the country.Baileys Mushroom Compost is actually a mixture of 6 parts bark, to one part chicken litter and some sand. They sometimes use actual mushroom compost in the mix in which case they use 4 parts bark to one part mushroom compost but I was told by one of the owners the we dont use mushroom compost very oftern because chicken litter does the same thing and goes a lot farther. So basically when you buy Mushroom Compost at Baileys bark you are getting a chicken litter compost mix, which may, or may not, actually contain trace amount of actual mushroom compost. Now imagine all the stuff that goes into the chickens around here and the quality of the litter coming out of the big chicken houses. Now mix that litter with some bark and feed it to your vegetables. My Experience:I went in and looked at this compost mix first hand. They brought out the PH meter and showed me it was at 5-6 PH (slightly acidic) and told me how it was made and the mix ratios. I knew instantly that I didnt want this mix because of the chicken litter and the fact that I was going to be mixing it with dirt and sand. I went back down to the office to ask if they could get actual straight mushroom compost. I was told they had it and could deliver it, but only 7 yards because it is heavier than their standard compost. I asked repeatedly, this is straight mushroom compost right, not that mixed stuff up there?. I was told multiple times that it was straight mushroom compost and they had it on the yard and that is what I would get. I was worried because the guy I talked to on the yard had said they hardly ever get mushroom compost. So I went ahead and ordered 7 yards (I wanted 10) to be delivered the next day. I told the girl that took my order to have the driver call me before he left because I wanted to double verify that he was bringing straight mushroom compost and not their mixed mushroom compost. The next day I get a call with the guy at my driveway ready to dump. And what did he dump? Their mixed grade B compost mix. it was the same guy who showed me the compost on the yard who now introduced himself as one of the owners. After expressing my disappointment and going back and forth about how I was very clear about what I wanted, what I was told, and what was on the invoice, all he would offer was a $50 refund. The next day after stewing over it all day and trying to figure out how I would use all of this mix that I didnt want, I went to the office and had another 20 min conversation with the owner and he would still only offer the $50 refund. During that time 2 different people came in and bought and were told about this mushroom compost mix.The moral of the story. Dont try to buy actual straight mushroom compost and Baileys Bark. If you get something else its your own fault, apparently, no matter how clear you are about what you want. That being said, their compost mix is not bad if you are looking for something similar to what you would buy in a bag as garden soil. Most bagged garden soil (miracle grow, etc) is the same sort of mix of mostly wood with a little manure and possibly fertilizer. Baileys goes for a PH around 5-6 which is kind of acidic, but I have to warn you, I tested the PH of the compost they delivered to me after wetting it down and got 9.7 which is highly basic and will kill your plants. After sitting a day, it has come down to 8, but that is still basic. Hopefully it stabilizes around 7 after sitting a while and washing a bit. They need to stop telling people their compost is Mushroom Compost because per the owner, they hardly ever use actual mushroom compost in the mix.
