I took in my 99 chevy last fall to have the howling sound in the rear end taken care of and they charged me 1200$ dollars and replaced 1 bearing in the differential then told me that it would make noise for a while still until everything wears... 5k miles later and it sounds worse than when i took it in. I have called several times and i am placed on hd. If i could leave negative 3 stars i would.

Great experience this week with Jason and Brandon. My overdrive light started blinking on my 2000 F150. I feared the worst and made an appointment to have the error code pulled. Jason and Brandon took the time to thoroughly explain what the error code meant and I left knowing a lot more about how my transmission worked and what may have caused the error. I did not even have to pay for the inspection. A less reputable shop could have found a way to charge me for something or recommend unneeded repairs. I trust Aamco, Jason, and Brandon and will continue to recommend them. Thank you!

I have a 53 Ford that I built over the last 7 or 8 years. Its been a daily driver except when I rebuilt the motor and tried to get the C-5 to function. It never shifted correctly. I had a rather negative experience with AAMCO a few years ago, not with their work, with the owner. On a hunt for a fitting I stopped in and met the nicest people! They gave me the fitting. So I spoke with them about my transmission issues and they explained how they rebuilt them. I gave it a shot and the transmission now shifts perfectly. The price was within reason, timely work, and they kept my hot rod safely inside for the entire time they had it. Great people and superb service. Thank you guys!!!!

Aamco in Nampa told my wife she had multiple codes being the reason for the check engine light and wanted to start with a series of fixes and that the transmission was going bad, $3500. Took the vehicle to the dealer next and they said there is only one code, an oil pressure sending unit and no issues with the transmission. $179 with oil change and they took care of two recalls and rotated the tires. Aamco straight lied. . . Wanted to charge my wife over $3500. Dealer was under $200.

I would recommend anyone to think twice before having any work done at this AAMCO. They lied tried to force me $3000 into debt that I told them I couldnt pay. They lied to me about what was wrong with my car. And when I didnt go $3000 into debt with them, they attempted to damage my vehicle.I took my car into AAMCO on a recommendation from the Chevy dealership because they didnt do transmission issues. I had slight sticking during gear changes, and issues with coolant leaking.I get my car checked out, they list several issues, the only two of which that are important here are dirty transmission fluid and a leaking lower intake valve. Here are where the issues really begin.1. We set a date that Monday they would work on my car (would be dropped off the night before) and that I would need the car done by close, because I need to drive an hour to class the next day. There was an issue with my car and needed my approval to proceed, I got back to them around noon, finished my talk with them, and they told me it would be done by closing time, and they would call me when done. Half an hour before closing NO call, I call, and call, and call, but no answer. Well over an hour after close, I get a call saying I got busy, and forgot to tell them to fix your car, it will be done tomorrow by 9:30. (When I need to be at my school) So I had to rent a car, thanks.2. Second issue, is what they called me about. They checked my transmission fluid and found a little bit of metal flakes in it. Indicating damage to the transmission somewhere. They suggested (more like argued for a good half hour) that I should just replace the whole transmission for $2000+. As a poor college Finance Major with no time to work, I told him I didnt have the cash to replace it, nor did I have anyone to help pay for it. Debt that you CANNOT pay is one of the worst things. I knew 100% I could not pay it, and I made that clear. But they kept pressing, you can take debt from here, what you have no credit for it? Well you can do it from us, it doesnt matter. Over and over did they pressure me to take on unwanted and unnecessary debt. I told him I was just going to run the car into the ground, I only needed it for another year or so.3. Next issue, comes after I get my transmission fluid replaced with new fluid at AAMCO. $200, for everything. I take my car in to get my oil changed, and all that. The place I take it to checks all of my fluid levels and other things as well. One of the things was my Transmission fluid level. Which was only a little over HALF FULL. My Transmission would have been destroyed in short order if I had gone without this unchecked. There were also no leaks on my transmission. AAMCO purposely left my transmission fluid at a dangerous level.4. The last issue was my Leaking Lower Intake Valve. They quoted me at $700-800, and that I needed to address it urgently. Well even though the nice people over at AAMCO would never lie to me, I take it in to my usual shop, to get it checked out. Turns out, in fact, that it wasnt leaking at all. It was just a case of overfilled coolant. This AAMCO isnt trust worthy in any way. They lied to me, and purposely put my car into a situation where it would damage my vehicle. If you have to go here, I suggest you have all issues checked somewhere else before AND after doing any work.

I took a minivan in to have my transmission repaired, brakes replaced, and radiator replaced. They told me it would be 5 business days. It took over three weeks. I understand that delays happen, but every time I called they told me it will be done tomorrow. But every time tomorrow came, the car wasnt ready. For my troubles, they gave me 100 dollars off my repair work of over 4500 dollars. That doesnt even cover a minivan rental for a saturday to replace the vehicle they were working on. It would have been better to not give anything back than to say, essentially, yeah, we are seriously inconveniencing you and have repeatedly misrepresented when your vehicle will be completed. Here is 100 dollars because that is what 2 weeks of your time is worth. When I got the car back, they told me that they had never been able to completely clean out the brand new radiator that they put in and told me to bring it back in for another flushing after a couple weeks.Fast forward to now, taking it in to get the radiator flushed, and they wont waive the 108 dollar flushing fee. After you had my car for 2 weeks longer than you had told me and me spending over 4400 dollars, you are going to charge me to finish the job that you never did properly the first time? Come on. Customer service at the Nampa Aamco is dead.

He was patient and professional, and eased my worries about being able to fix my truck. It only took them a week to completely rebuild the transmission and fix a long list of leaks and broken parts. I was ready to take it to the junk yard, but now it runs and shifts like new. They gave me almost daily updates of the progress and prices of each repair. With all of the issues it had, I honestly feel like I got a bargain. I had a really great experience and would recommend them to anyone. Thanks guys for all your hard work and patience! My 4 sons and I were traveling cross country from Oregon to New York when I lost the transmission (lost acceleration and could not get a gear) on the freeway near Nampa. Having had my transmission rebuilt a few months prior back home by our local Aamco, I called them to see how to proceed since it was under warranty. Between my local Aamco and this location in Nampa, they quickly got a tow truck out and the owner of the Nampa location came out to pick us up. The owners of this company went over and beyond to make sure my boys had an enjoyable afternoon and that we were comfortably settled into our hotel that evening. The techs and office admin that I interacted with were all personable and kind. Luckily I just needed a new sensor and my fluid changed out. The techs took an extra long test drive to be sure everything was good and then that was followed up by an additional test drive by the owner. They did not want to put us on the rode unless they were sure everything was good. By the time we had to leave the next day, we felt like part of the family. This crisis moment that could have been a nightmare ended up being a fun hiccup in our trip and it was such a blessing to meet such a great group of people.

BEWARE: Ive had an absolute horrible experience taking my Volvo s80 here. First, it was suppose to take 3 days to fix the car, it ended up taking 3 weeks. When they returned the car back to us my car had no power and was making a wooshing and clicking sound when you stepped on the gas. So we took it right back and told them the issues, they had the car for another whole week, since we were out of town that week. When I got back into town, I called to let them know I was picking the car up, and they STILL havent test drove it for the 3rd time, as they said. Supposedly my car was fixed again and had its power back (this car has a turbo, so it should be able to be really fast) the mechanic plugged a part into something, and later found that it should have never been plugged in, that is why my turbo wasnt working. So I take the car home for a week and a half. The wooshing and clicking noise never got fixed and my engine now sounds like crap, and we were told when we first brought it in that our engine is in great shape, and it never sounded like that before. So I take it back in because I wanted them to listen to the issue, because I was suppose to drive the car the next day for 5 hour trip out of town. The mechanic looked at the oil, and listened to my engine with a stethoscope, and said that it was the lifters. He put some lubrication stuff in the oil compartment and sent me on my way saying that I would be fine to drive tomorrow, and it wont hurt my engine. So I get home and start doing research (I am no mechanic, I am a woman, the wife and my husband is out of town) I find, after researching, that it has something to do with my oil, so I go outside and check my oil (mind you, this is just a couple hours after the mechanic looked) and I find that there is definitely NOT enough oil in my car, then I see that my car has been leaking oil (it has been parked for this whole time pretty much) all over my driveway, and there was a bolt just sitting there, I look with a flashlight under my car, and obviously see where the oil is leaking and it is all over the bottom of my car. Either my oil pan was never screwed correctly. I will be taking the car back in there on Monday. I am appalled that they sent me away saying the I was safe to drive with my daughter, who is only a year and a half old, for 5 hours on it the next day. Luckily, I am not that stupid and I researched it, I am glad that I will not be going on this trip, because I probably would have screwed up my whole engine (which was FINE when I brought it to them). Now I am wondering if they even did the work that they said they did that cost me $4500. I am so upset!!!!! Oh yeah, and they also tried charging me 3 times the amount of a fly wheel, and all sorts of other parts, they didnt get away with it because we researched and actually called the Volvo dealer in Boise (where the got the part from) to see what the actual price was of the part. BEWARE OF THIS AAMCO!!!! DONT GO HERE, THEY ARE TROUBLE! My husband gets home tomorrow, and we will be going in first thing Monday morning with a whole lot of complaining! ABSOULTE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, and it still isnt over. Do the mechanics really know what they are doing????

I went to the shop on monday. They stated I needed a new transmission and front wheel bearing replacement. I agreed to the new transmission and was advised it would be done on Friday. We did the paperwork and got the tranny ordered. It arrived Wed afternoon. There was nothing done on my truck until friday aftenoon and it was not completed. I finally got the truck back on monday afternoon. It took them 20 hours to do a 4 hour job. They stated it would be $440 to do the wheel bearings. Took it to another mechanic to see how much it would be and they quoted $99. They did not even know what type of b earings were in the truck apparently or were just over charging. If I could give them a negative 5 stars I would.Bottom line: If you want work done in a reasonable amount of time by profesionals at a fair market price then DONT go to the Nampa AAmco. All they care about is getting their money and nothing more. Customer service is poor at best. When filing a complaint with the corporate office they said we will call you. That was 2 weeks ago and no answer yet. As you can see they will over charge you for their work as well. One of the customers sitting in the waiting room while I was filing my complaint said good luck with that I would not be here but I broke down right outside their shop so I have to be. I hate theis place. I wish I would have talked to them before I had the work done.
