I recently bought a used boat (sun runner i/o) from canyon marine. Now buying a used boat, I expected there to be some issues that I would have to work out over time. I was especially disappointed when after 20 minutes of my first run, it started to over heat. I called canyon marine and they asked me to bring it in and they would check it out. Kacey put it in the test tank and sure enough after about 20 minutes the temperature started to climb again. They had me leave it and said they would check it out. They had it in the shop for that day, found and replaced the bad thermostat. And just to be safe, they replaced the impeller and refilled the gear oil for me. All at no cost! I expected at least a couple hundred for labor. This is exactly the kind of business that everyone wants to deal with! Good, honest, knowledgeable people! I will definitely be dealing with them in the future!

Took my boat in at the beginning of winter for a full-service oil change fuel filter and got just took my boat out took the lid off same fuel filter with my initials what else did they not do! Did they scan the motor for updates? Guess I have to go pay someone else to make sure, I know there was an update from the factory, after I pay some else I will update this review, maybe if they would call back or answer the PHONE! I would not have to leave such a bad review.

Had my 2004 Skeeter / Yamaha 200HP tuned up by Kasey. Took it out Saturday and it starts immediately, and runs like a top...probably better than it has since Ive owned it. They sent injectors out for cleaning & calibration and repaired several other issues. Good service and boat shop!

Called yesterday to ask details about a used motor they had on craigslist. They took my info and told me they would call me right back. 24 hours later and still no return call. So I called them again and they had no idea who I was and said the motor had been sold for several days. Terrible communication and complete lack of customer service skills. FAIL!P.s. If something you have listed for sale is already sold, delete the add. Duhhh

Went in the other and got a great deal on an outboard. They ran it in the tank for me and loaded it up in my truck. Very friendly and helpful. Ill definitely be back!

I have owned boats all my life and have been using canyon marine{K-C} for service and I would recommend him. The most recent boat I own, I purchased thru John the manager, it was pleasant, any issues whatever they took care of it. real nice people!!!

Caynon Marine is one of 3 shops in this area that will work on 20+ year old outboards. Out of the 3 they are the only shop Ill trust my 82 evinrude with. Prices are reasonable compared with the other shops and turn around time is fast, and their techs are always willing to answer questions and give advice over the phone. A++ business and service! I recently had them go through my outboard and they quoted me one price, by the time the work was done the bill was less than the quote and they were honest about that and adjusted the price.

These guys are crooked. They will take advantage of you the first chance they get. Do not trust them to be open and honest with you? They sold me a boat giving me every excuse why it couldnt be run in their test tank while I was watching knowing that the water pump was bad. An honest dealer would have replaced a failed pump. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

We bought a G3 V20C from Joe. Excellent service, the boat was ready when they said it would be and we couldnt be happier with our G3 with Yamaha outboard. I recommend Canyon Marine to anyone looking for a boat or needing parts and service.

Im a rookie when it comes to boats and Canyon Marine has always treated me great. When Ive asked them to do things that wouldve benefited them with a higher bill they corrected me and said no you dont need to do that. Theyre honest folks and they treat you right. I bought roughed up 11ft jon boat and needed some frame repair and parts for 2 electric trolling motors. They didnt even try to help me out. They suggested e-Bay and finding a welding shop. I suppose what I needed didnt look profitable enough? No matter, turning away a customer is unacceptable.

The owner is an absolute jerk. I went in to ask a simple question and the employee I asked turned out to be the owner so I asked him the question I had. He acted like I was a nuisance for even speaking to him and couldnt get rid of me fast enough. Ill go somewhere else before I give him my business.

Nice guys but my visit didnt work out. Set up my appointment 3 weeks in advance. My lightly used 98 115 Evinrude 2 stroke needed the carbs removed, cleaned and rebuilt. Bottom line, they didnt dive in and do it. Motor runs worse. I just changed the fuel filter yesterday, it was evident that was not done with a full service. When I asked if they pulled the carbs upon pick up, they said it didnt need it.I trusted their professional opinion and looked forward to a once again top running engine. MISTAKE. Tried calling to follow up, no answers. Sent DETAILED email, no response. Just dropped it off at Indian Creek Motorsports in Kuna upon fellow boater recomendation. I will not return to Canyon Marine. Only a few hundred down the drain, so could be worse. Good help is hard to find when it comes to marine service in Boise.I do like there in store lure shop, and looks like they sell a nice line of boats.

I have a Stratos 476SF and and with the lighter four strokes Ive been thinking about the Yamaha Vmax SHO vf115! So I went to the boat show and found one and started talking to this guy about the motor, turned out this guy is John, the owner of Canyon Marine, Nampa Idaho. What a great guy, tons of information, took the time to explain things in detail to me, no high-pressure just two guys talking about an engine! I walked around a bit more and bumped into Casey! We started talking about the Yamaha Vf115 and boy did he have the specs and a lot of information and he turned out to be the service manager for Canyon Marine! To make the story short I made an appointment with John the owner at 10 oclock in the morning with my stratos! John and Casey were there right on time came out looked at the engine hooked up the computer to check her out! We sat down and came to a real fair price for the new engine and trade-in and installation price! Came back a week later to pick up the boat and new engine super job installing it, serviced apartment did a great job I looked under the dash and all the wiring and all the cables all the bolts everything looked like a brand-new installation! John and Casey went over all the new information on the new engine answered all my questions and I was on my way! Took her out on opening day at Lake Lowell and started to break her in! Unbelievable engine so light in weight so quiet, clean burning, super hole shot, and good mid acceleration couldnt ask for more! Thanks again to John and Casey and thanks to all the employees at Canyon marine they are so helpful, courteous and professional! Canyon marine highly recommended!
