My wife and I decided to go with Opal Enterprises after considering a few options for replacement of two exterior doors and the entryway to our garage. Opal uses Provia doors, which Ive found many home improvement enthusiasts tout as top of the line.To me, though, what really shines from this project is the absolute top quality of the install. With a baby on the way, my wife and I were mostly concerned about keeping the house warm in the winter, and the old doors we had were poorly sealed and almost impossible to weather strip due to shifting frames and old busted up thresholds. Opal installed Hardie Board siding and installed a window and two doors. The siding and trim needed to be repaired multiple times throughout the project. The trim was not even and detail work was low quality. The window was installed but parts were not working. A total of four window screens were broken and they never replaced. The quality of the work overall was poor.

We required the replacement windows match the existing windows including the etched V-groove lights. The entire experience from estimating to scheduling to installation was wonderful. I contracted Opal to install new James Hardie siding on the house, and Versetta stone siding on the attached garage. Opals installation crew were very professional and very hard working. They rarely took a break. The quality of their work was unbelievable and excellent. These guys really knew what to do to make my home very beautiful now. Better than it has ever looked.I broke this project up in two phases, because I didnt want to disturb a robins bird nesting on my front porch. The Opal PM was able to schedule the first phase of home siding, then started well after the robins had left the nest on the second phase which they were able to finish the porch and garage within their proposed schedule.

Recently had 13 windows and a patio door replaced then added a storm door. Other than a slight delay, due to these covid times, the process was pretty easy. Install was completed within the two day time period. They cleaned up and took away all materials with them. I appreciated their fast electronic quote that also detailed the install process and whats needed on my end. Only one other company provided an electronic quote that lacked install details and the rest was pen and paper form. No high pressure sales tactics was used and had all my questions answered. I highly recommend them.

We recently had Opal install eight windows to the front of our house. From start to finish they are one of the best firms my wife and I have ever hired. The initial project consultant, Jason, provided great options for us to consider in the windows selection. The communication from the office team beforehand was clear. We were provided a customer fact sheet that contained pertinent information for the homeowner to know before installation began which was immensely helpful. There were issues that came up during the installation of the windows (caused by the old windows) that the crew informed me about. Once again, I was provided with options on how to address and was comfortable with the recommendations and solutions provided. We had looked at a total of three companies when shopping for windows. Opal came in the middle in terms of price. We selected them because the individuals we met were the most genuine and sincere in wanting to find us the best solution that worked for us. It just so happened they were not the most or least expensive. We would have gone with Opal either way.

They had their own porta-potty so they didnt need to come inside. They were quiet and courteous to the neighbors. The owner of Opal even brought my neighbors Starbucks gift cards to apologize for the mess (and the dumpster in my driveway).The work took several weeks to complete, but it was big job and the crew worked hard, often 9+ hours per day. If they encountered any issues they brought it to my attention right away. The crew leader, Miro, clearly prides himself in his work and does a great job. He and his guys were the best.A few days after the project was complete, I had an issue with one of my windows. I emailed Jason and within literally ten minutes, Miro was at my house (it was 7pm. I thought that was amazing.)My only complaint is the amount of damage to my landscaping and front porch that I wasnt expecting. The guys had to put some pallets on my front lawn, so theres a lot of dead grass. They had to walk in the bushes/plants to install the siding and windows, so those are all damaged. The paver bricks of my front porch couldnt withstand all the weight of the equipment either, so those are all loose. I understand that the damage is just a consequence of three weeks of guys and equipment, but I definitely wasnt budgeting for a lansdacping project in addition to the siding.Overall I was very impressed with Opal and especially with Jason and Miro. If youre looking for the cheapest work, this is not it. If youre looking for really well done work with the highest quality materials, go with Opal.

He provided us more than enough information for us to make an informed decision on our project. We were extremely pleased with the workmanship and followup from Opal and our home looks beautiful. Opal replaced all 14 of our windows (vinyl windows replaced with new vinyl inserts). I went with this company because of a recommendation from someone we trusted, and I was not disappointed.Opal was very professional throughout the process, and the windows they use are of high quality. Our windows arrived about three weeks ahead of schedule and the whole job was done in about six hours. The windows look nice and work well, and the installers left our house cleaned up inside and out. They recognized and dealt with a problem with some rotted wood, and they paid attention to details (such as reinstalling our shutters with bolts that had matching-color heads) that added to the professionalism of the job.One could certainly find a company that would do a job like this cheaper (likely using cheaper windows like the ones that forced us to do this job sooner than wed have liked!). And, given the overall price of the job, they could afford to roll in small costs like permit fees and a modest amount of work where an issue is uncovered. However, we felt that we got a highly professional company, quality windows, and quality installation for our money. We would recommend Opal to others.

From the first call to the final results, I cant recommend Opal enough. Professional, timely, very communicative, and experts in what they do. We had our old aluminum siding, gutters, and porch windows replaced and the result is a completely beautiful, transformed home. Our curb appeal has increased exponentially. Additionaly, when dealing with insurance for hail damage issues, their sales associate went to bat for us multiple times with successful results. Opal is on your side and will deliver breathtaking results.

Opal recently replaced all the windows in my home. These windows are absolutely perfect. They feel sturdy and look amazing. You can tell that theyre are definitely quality windows. I love the fluid slide of the windows that make them very easy to operate. In just 3 days weve already noticed a substantial difference in maintaining temperature in the house. The crew and foreman worked fast and efficiently and were all very friendly. I cannot express how happy I am by going with Opal. Ryan, out sales associate, was extremely helpful and patient with the process. We met with him once and decided to hold off. A couple years later we called again and he had all our info pulled up quickly. He worked with our tight schedule for in-person meetings even coming in the evening once and on a Saturday. The office was great with communication and the crew, from project manager down to individual workmen communicated well, and responded promptly. If there was an issue the project manager made sure to get to the house ASAP. Clean up was done well too. Very happy

Weve used Opal Enterprises a few times now. They did a wonderful job on our siding and roof 3 years ago. Not only is the quality of their work top notch, but their entire process, and specifically their excellent communication with us, made the whole project go so smoothly.We just used them again to replace a couple of doors and windows. We got a number of quotes for this project and Opals estimate was essentially the same as the other companies. However, we chose to use Opal again because we trusted them to do the best job possible getting the external siding fixed after replacing the windows. And they did!

We worked with the team at Opal to replace our french door with a Kolbe sliding door. We had worked with Eli (sales consultant) and Jacek (project manager) on a previous project and had great experiences for both. Voytek and his crew were great to work with and installed the door in less than 2 hours. They were also able to repair some rotted window trim on a different window the same day as well. We were very happy with the product and work and will consider Opal for future projects.

From start to finish Opal was a pleasure to work with. From the initial sales consult to the final day of the project they were professional, knowledgeable and expert craftsmen. Our home looks amazing and we are so happy with the job that was done.

Ryan (in sales) is great! And the communication was excellent throughout the whole project! We have used Opal for multiple projects and continue to return to the them because they are easy to work with and manage projects well.

We had some windows, a sliding door, and a front door done with Opal. I got quotes from 4 other companies, many who were gimmicky. It was such a frustrating process as every company told me something different. Jason was our sales person from Opal who we contacted because of them carrying Anderson windows. He was honest, helped us understand what was important to look out for and really did a great job educating us to help us make the right decision. He was available anytime for the many questions I had as we tried to make the right decision. There was no pressure and he was genuinely excited for our project and pumped to see the before and after. Our installation crew was also great. They two guys we had were great, very meticulous, respectful of our home, hard working, and did an amazing job cleaning up after themselves. They did a great job making us feel confident that the end product would turn out great as their attention to detail was awesome. Our job was completed today and we couldnt be happier with the results.

Opal installed James Hardy siding and fascia, gutters, 3 Anderson replacement windows, and did some roof repair on my home in Glenview. They did an excellent job, our home looks beautiful, and we are very pleased with the end result.In my opinion, Opal is a company that delivers what they promise, and their commitment to service and quality is outstanding. We did have a bump in the road as further discussed below, and to their credit Opal made sure that we were happy with how they were handling things, and that they delivered the quality job they promised.I initially hired Opal based on the professionalism and thoroughness of their sales process. The sales person made sure that we understood the James Hardy construction process, exactly what we were buying, and what the job would look like. Opal was able to show us computer generated images of our home with various siding colors and other options in a manner that I felt was very effective and understandable. Opal was the only one of the contractors that bid on our project that used this capability. The office manager Stacy did a great job interfacing with us during the sales process, and keeping us informed about scheduling after we committed to the projectAfter the job was started, The project manager Karel quickly realized that the crew installing the job (first job with Opal) was not up to Opals quality standards. After 3 days the crew was fired. This caused a delay as Karel brought on another crew (a crew that he had a lot of experience with) to take on our project once they became available. The work that this crew did was outstanding.Throughout the project, Karel was on site every day, kept us informed on what was happening, and did his absolute best to make sure that what could have been a bad situation was made right and that the completed job was perfect. I give Karel an A for his efforts here, and also for his efforts in solving a roof problem that we had.I give Opal a 5 star rating because of the overall quality of the job, and how they handled our situation. I was not happy about the need for a crew change, but commend Opal for dealing with this in the manner they did. Being in business my self, I understand that s__t happens, and that this could easily have been a disaster. Instead, Opals commitment to customer service and their high quality standards resulted in a beautiful, nearly perfect job. We definitely will use Opal on another project and highly recommend them.
