As an interior deisgner, I have used Smith and DeShiels for years on many projects. When it came time for my personal home remodel I was extremely fortuante to work with Michael Jordan! He is a super star in every sense. Every step of the way Michael went above and beyond to assist in every need. He came to my home on numerous occations and if there was an issue he reached out to his manager, reps of companies and personal friends in the field to assist in a rather involved remodel. The many things he did out of kindness and care are too lenghty to list. I can not say enough about how well he handled every detail and how extremely appreciative I am to have Mike and Smith and DeShilds assist with my person home. Kuddos to this great team!

2/6/21 - Went in on 2/5/21 spoke to Owen, built a partial quote left with intention if calling today with the full measurements. John answered today 2/6 and Johntold me to call back on Monday because Owen made the quote and its saturday and I just want to get out of here. There was still 3 hours of open time for a saturday, would i have been treated the same if i walked in the door today? Needless to say this has left a very sour taste in my mouth. Our contractor highly recommended this business however this experience is horrible. Owen told us if we called, they could pull up the quote number and we could order the doors over the phone, it wasnt a massive order just 5 prehung door.UPATE: I spoke with Owen today 2/8/21. He came out to the house, got all the proper measurements and we got the doors ordered. Everything went very smoothly and he is a great guy. I am very happy with my experience today and look forward to seeing the end product in my home. I will be changing my review completely at the end of the process based on my total experience. I am thankful the owners of Smith and Deshields care about their customers, it shows.

I dont normally do this but when I ordered by exterior door and paid for it on 05/11/20, I was told two weeks. I called 2 weeks later and was told 2 weeks. I called 2 weeks later and was told 2 weeks. After explaining to the sales person that, that is what youve told me the last 2 times his response was Oh, I got it here June 24th. So six weeks later with no communication or update. Not the way to do business.

We just finished another job and it reminded us to review them. We have always loved the quality of their work and professionalism. What a great team! Thanks again Mike for everything!Kevin Williams Construction, Inc.

Top of the line. Staff is fantastic and products are truly quality.

Ask for 8 ft 1x12 oak. Price was 10+ a ft. I noted to the salesman it was more that home depot price. He remarked their selection was much better. They only had one 12ft 1x12. Took them 1/2 hour to dig it out. After waiting so long I left without checking the product. The board was so cupped it was unusable. Unfortunately I cut it thinking I can make it work. Wasted a day and $80. After that I had to go to Home Depot and their selection was far better. I work for Naples trim company. Normally use Naples lumber, but they don’t carry oak. Expected a lot more from smith and desheilds. Very disappointed

Absolutely terrible customer service. I tolerated a botched door job 1 1/2 years ago. I was told it that it was an uninterested new sales person. I accepted this and moved forward. Well i am dealing with a seasoned sales person (Scott ) this time that botched up my door order. However, this time he blamed for his mistakes . His indifference is astonishing.I AM DONE WITH THIS COMPANY!!

Mistake over mistakes, no responsibility, extremely slow, evey visit takes over an hour....The only positive is the good quality of the third order you get - the first two orders they will screw upGo somewhere else if you can !

Why would I give people any of my business when their customer service on the phone is horrid. In only 10 minutes in their showroom I had to overhear one of the salespeople completely disrespecting a client on the phone. So rude and pathetic. These guys clearly do not need our business .

Even though our experience with the purchase and installation of a door went horribly wrong, the owner of the company made it right. After he found out the situation and all that we went through, he personally met with me to go over what could have been done better and even apologized. Mr. Deshields cares about his company and making sure his customers are treated well. I was impressed that he took the time to listen and made things right. So I changed a very poor review to this one. The world of business needs more people that care and have a heart for their business. I was impressed with Mr. Deshields and even though I was not satisfied with the experience of our door install, I changed my review for one star to four. If you can find companies that care about the little guy, stick with them.

Quality products for good pricing. They acknowledge previous issues and took responsibility.
