I have to say my multiple engagements with Tom Pistocco have been excellent. He is a major asset to the Salt Pond Narragansett store by consistently providing a very high level of customer service. The other staff at the store are also very professional and helpful.

I have been happy with the products and staff. However their lab has been inconsistent and turnaround times relatively long. They are very good in standing by what they make and completely fixing all issues. It was better when they had in house lab

Great experience during eye exam with on site doctor and equally as great experience choosing frames. Shawnna took care of me for style and sizing, and was professional and incredibly helpful in choosing the right pair for me that was the right mix of both.

Someone said rotten customer service, that is giving them too much credit. Made an appointment a week in advance. I show up, they take my name, no hello, take my temperature, give me a tray and say go pick out what you like and dont put anything back that you touch. So cordial. When I called for the appt. they said theyd help me, when I went there, nothing, not any attempt. Basically they said look at these 2,000 pairs of glasses and good luck. I asked about shapes, colors, prices...They would not help, nor willing to help at all and they (yes, more than one employee) looked at me like I had 3 heads. I will never return and would never recommend this place. If I could give them a zero or negative rating I would.

Rotten customer service .. when I arrived I was told that I don’t have insurance coverage anymore. my insurance changed three years ago. I’ve been to them two times in the past and used that same insurance. When I told her my insurance she said don’t accept that insurance. Then she offered to make me an appointment in two weeks saying that it took them that long to double check insurance. However if they checked my insurance before they would’ve been able to bring this issue up previously and I wouldn’t of wasted my morning going in for this appointment.. totally disappointing bcs they were great in the past.

Im deeply disappointed with my experience here. After waiting for 4 weeks for my appointment, they postponed the appointment to a week later. I called them multiple times, but no one answered the phone. My appointment was at 4:30, but I waited for the check-in until 4:45. These people have no idea about the value of the time. Finally after five weeks, they did not accept my insurance. Im a student and Im insured through URI, so my insurance was ended in Aug 14 and the new period is set to start from September. I was going to call the insurance to see if theyd reimburse me, but the person there said shes already talked to the insurance and theres no need for me to call them. I left the store and called the insurance and they said theyre gonna reimburse me, so I went back to the store after 5 minutes, but they did not visit me. Do not waste your time here. Find another place!

Dealt with John C. He was very knowledgeable. He took extra special care in measuring me for bifocals, and where they would fit on my face. He checked, and rechecked. He was very friendly, funny and personable. And I got a deal to boot. 2 pairs of progressive glasses for $99.00. Cant beat that anywhere! This place is great!

Kathy helped me with picking out my glasses and adjusting them when they arrived. She was knowledgeable and very professional. I was nervous walking in as I havent bought glasses in a long time but she made me comfortable. Also, my glasses were in six days earlier than they said, which made me a happy customer!

No one answers the phone. Able to make an appointment on line but when I get here for my appt i discover they have changed the store hours without calling or notifying me so they are not open. So frustrating. Not customer centric.

Recommend Narragansett Vision works! The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about their products. The Eye Dr’s are kind and have great bedside manors.Price are reasonable and have a decent selection of glasses/sunglasses and contacts. If they don’t have what your looking for; I’m sure they would order it for you.

Great service. The gentleman that helped me, Tom was very knowledgeable and because of his advice I was able to buy 2 pair of glasses for about 1/2 the price at the eye doctors. This is my first experience with Visionworks and I am completely satisfied. Why would you go anywhere else?

Great service. My prescription would not fit well in the frames I wanted but the staff helped pick out a great replacement that was perfect! When I went to pick the glasses up, they made sure the glasses absolutely fit and that I had no questions or concerns. I left loving my new look and thankful for such great service.

This place has been a nightmare. I picked my glasses out and placed my order. Then 3 weeks went by, so I finally called them and they couldnt even find me in the computer. They finally called me back, and blamed ME for it because I didnt pay for the order. THERE WAS NO CHARGE. Insurance covered it 100%. And then today I sent my 17 year old daughter for her eye exam, and they basically bullied her. She called me almost in tears and when I called them to talk about it, all I got was an attitude. Ive had six interaactions with the staff over the past two months and I have NEVER been treated as a customer should. And their incompetence is shocking. I have been given wrong information repeatedly and have been given contradictory answers by the staff. I will never patronize them again and I hope you dont either.

I walked into Visionworks Narragansett, RI Suite #2 location at 10AM on a Friday not knowing what to expect. Only to find that I was greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable staff! Debra and the rest of the customer service team made my experience pleasant and efficient. Within minutes I had two pairs of glasses picked out and they both were right in my price range. I had to have an eye exam because my prescription was expired... the exam was quick and accurate; Dr. Nigrelli definitely knows what he is doing! It has only been one day and I am ALREADY heading back into the same Visionworks later this morning to pick up my finished glasses! I am super excited to have my glasses ready for the school semester, right when i needed them most. It is CLEAR to see that Visionworks in Narragansett Rhode Island is the place to shop for new eyewear: reading glasses, everyday glasses and even sun glasses.

I showed up for my annual eye exam. I choose to go here mostly for the convienience as my prescription doesn’t change much and I need the exam to get new contacts. At first the doctor appeared dissheveled and I was trying to be patient and give him the benefit of the doubt as he was an older gentleman. As the appt went on he continued to repeat the same questions over and over like why are you here? What are you having for dinner? Weird right? Then as he began the exam I could clearly smell alcohol on his breath and it all made sense. I was shocked but now I’m in the middle of my exam and he just put drops in my eyes. When I asked what they were for he looked stunned! He couldn’t even put together a sentence and said, that’s a good question as he bought a little more time to try and comprehend. I couldn’t wait to get out of there! After my exam I asked to speak with the manager outside so as to not make a scene. I explained what happened and expressed my concern not only about this guy seeing patients but also driving himself home! The manager explained there wasn’t much he could do about that. Are you kidding? Don’t we all have an obligation to public safety? He also explained that he’s had other complaints about this doc and nobody’s doing anything as if the docs are untouchable . He assured me they were expecting a new doc in a week or so. I told him to feel free to use my name and share my info to resolve this. I’ve never been contacted by anyone at Vision Works. I honestly completed their survey and I’m shocked and very concerned about the safety and unprofessional manner of this organization. Needless to say, I’ll be finding a reputable eye doc and I’ve learned my lesson about choosing something out of convenience.

My first pair of glasses took 3 weeks before they were ready when I was told 4 day. I was not pleased with them so got a second pair which was told it would be ready in 7 days, here I am, 13 days later waiting, being told another 5 days. Ridiculous

I was totally taken aback by the reception I received from Fern. Despite the fact that I showed her my policy, I was immediately told that my insurance wasnt accepted. I explained to her that MOAA Mediplus was the agent but MetLife was the insurer she said well, we accept MetLife but your coverage is very limited. I showed her the policy again and she resisted again. I asked her about the ad on TV regarding getting a second pair of glasses for 50% off and she said that wasnt accepted there. My mother and friend were also with me to get glasses. When Fern told my mother to start looking for glasses without explaining their set-up, I politely informed Fern that we would be looking elsewhere. I do not recall ever being treated so rudely as I was that day. I am hoping that it was just a bad day for her and that things are better for her today. But I will not be returning to VisionWorks, Narragansett because of her lack of professionalism and courtesy. Thank you for this opportunity to share my experience

The people are nice but my glasses have been late on two seperate occasions. And by late, I am saying like really late. Like a month wait period between the appt and actually receiving my glasses. I have been coming here for years, and it never used to be this bad. God knows whatever practice they’re doing now for handling glasses orders is not working, and it’s not worth the time. Anyone considering coming here: I will be taking my business to online stores like Firmoo. Save your prescription (it expires after a year) and order online. It will cut the ridiculous wait time.

Terrible. I had a coupon, called and made an appointment, confirmed the coupon, then after I arrived they said they wouldnt honor the coupon. They also said that they tried to call me to let me know, but there were no calls. Bait and switch is still illegal isnt it?? Go to an honest place.
