Good Stop and Shop. Well stocked. Good variety. Wear a sweater...the deli and produce area is freezing !! Or is that my burnt skin? Hmmmm.. Keep up the good work Stop and Shop. Deli staff were very nice and lady at self checkout was great with a nice personality. Well done.

I was surprised how run down this store appears. Lots of leaking refrigeration units. Shelves not fully stocked. As with a lot of stores these days, not enough cashiers. Long lines at two open registers. Long lines at self checkout. As always, the landscaping at this location is neat and well kept.

Always (most of the time) has what your looking for. Its crazy busy come summer time, so if you plan to just run in and out in the summertime Its not going to happen lol

There has been water leaking from the refrigeration appliances very often. Puddles are dangerous and not a good sign...better spend the money to fix this issue before someone gets hurt or sick.

Like lots of markets their store brands are usually the best value, and some of the organic produce is better at other places.

🛍🛒Better than the Norwalk Connecticut store plus it has Stop and Shop gasoline ⛽.The check out lanes moved fast and somebody actually Bagged my purchases unlike Norwalk

I found the fruits and vegetables not be fresh they only last a couple days go to a different store to shop Belmonts good and wakefield for you

Great supermarket that actually opens up till 12 in Narragansett (wohoo). The staff are very friendly and helpful whenever I ask for help.Stop n shop has great varieties of quality products.They are sadly a bit overpriced. However, if you compare anything with Walmart, then sure you would say it’s overpriced. In that sense, stop n shop prices are fair enough.I hate the fact that points earned with stop n shop card expire if 30 days passes without spending the points on stop n shop’s gas station.Oh, one note I wanna add: it would be great to add free enjoyable coffee. I saw that in dave’s and actually made me enjoying shopping more cause i got caffeinated. By the way, i am not a coffee guy, just occasionally!

Wonderful bargains this week, Cornish Hens, steak half price. Produce very fresh, just use Google to find the best low traffic time to shop. We also keep an eye out for deep sales - 10/$10.00 and get a few cases for the local community food bank.

Ordering a cake did not go well. The person had no information or help. No suggestions about options. When I picked up the cake next day I had to go find someone because the bakery was empty. Someone finally found the cake which was not as I ordered. For the price I paid I was not happy.

Very well set up, excellent produce, meats and quite a large, well stocked grocery store.

This Stop and Shop has absorbed all convenient customer parking for its pick up service leaving in store shoppers with long, slippery walks into the store. And, all the spots are empty. They made the move during the coldest week of the year. Where the customer comes last. Its not even more convenient for the customer who is picking up!

You stop you shop and then you go always wondered why they didnt call at shop and stop?

Overpriced and tired looking store. The restrooms need a complete overhaul. The workers are generally pleasant though and that helps. But Im starting to go to Shaws more now for better prices and pastry selection and tastiness.

I probably go to Stop &Shop every week. It is where I buy all of my food. Love the store and hope to continue to shop there.

Stop&Shop Narragansett is an incredible place to shop. Wonderful friendly staff. From Waldo, Mike, & Steve in the deli, Tim in produce, John in meats, Tony in Supply, and Suzanne, Laverne & Donna upfront. So many more to mention. Great place to shop.

Not sure why they are forcing everyone in and out of one exit/entrance. Wouldn’t that create crowding at the only open entrance /exit? I went to walk in and it said that it was an exit only. Well okay I’ll walk to the other side in 90+ degrees with a mask on no biggie then at checkout it says emergency exit only so basically now I have to walk from that end to the other end again with 2 24 packs of water just too walk outside and carry them to the other side of the Parking lot again. That is just ridiculous and I can only imagine the confusion/inconvenience it causes for the elderly. Not only an inconvenience but also it’s unsafe seeing as how everyone is crowded and forced to enter/exit on one end of the store. PLEASE change this it’s not like there is someone counting the people going in and out so I really don’t understand itEDIT: Stop and shop replayed giving me a link to reach out to them? I already have with this review why don’t you change the exit/entrance setup and make it safer. I can’t even copy / paste links from reviews so do you think I’m really going to go more out of my way to write it down and type it in when I have reached out already? Management is a joke.

Expensive shop. Overpriced products.

That place is always over packed with people who dont pay attention, they swing their carts around and hit you, they leave them all over the lot and dont put them away, they park in no parking zones. Almost entitled people who are very selfish. That being said, the actual store usually has everything youre looking for, but its way too small for the overcrowding it gets, especially when the tourists arrive in the summer. Ugh

What are the actual hours?

Purchased a rack of lamb. ($29.00). When I got home and opened it, you would not believe the smell of the spoiled meat. In was within the sell date, so the storage must have been negligent. I took it back right away and no one seemed to care about my failed special dinner or the fact I had to go out of my way to return.

Crowded, full of tourists, out of lots of stuff.

We visited Stop and Shop, Narragansett, No. 0718, the day before Thanksgiving, while visiting friends and family in Rhode Island from out of state. It has so many varieties of foods, lots of choices, and we enjoyed the helpful and friendly employees. We especially appreciated the check-out with Amber. Very efficient and made our memory of Stop and Shop a happy one. Thank you, Amber.

Typical Stop & Shop that usually has what I need. Its the closest branch to where I live at the time of writing this review, so it often times ends up being either a trip here or to Shaws in nearby Wakefield. This location kept running out of egg whites back in March/April, so that was annoying. In fact, this store seemed to get obliterated during the early days of the Covid lockdown. There were no frozen vegetables left at all. Absolutely surreal, but theres only so much a supermarket can do when the public collectively loses its mind. Hope that never happens again (jinxed it).

We worked with Amanda in the Floral Department to do the flowers for our wedding. She did an absolutely amazing job!!!The flowers came out stunning, and Amanda was great to work with, beginning to end. We appreciate her expertise, patience, and talent more than we can express! To top it off, the price was beyond reasonable!!! If you are looking for an incredible florist at an unbeatable price, I highly recommend you pay Amanda a visit!!!

Rather than closing one entrance entirely, it seems like setting up one side as in and the other as out would help keep people from having to pass each other in close proximity. Had most of the things I was looking for, but not all.

The manager first of all was the rudest man I’ve ever spoken to. Very very very disrespectful. We got 16 burgers and they smelled bad. We exchanged them for new ones to get rotten ones AGAIN! When I called, he was yelling at me saying that I am crazy and that I do not have to cook. Honestly, go to Walmart down the street for food.

I was looking for a electric cart and one of the clerks went and got it for me,very pleasant experience 👍

Some of the girls in charge at night here are terribly rude, Missy and the more heavy-set one with turtle tattoos. (That one even left me on hold at one time when I asked about a sale price for pumpkins).My whole family shops here despite the higher prices—Stop & Shop regularly receives about $150 from us at least every other week. They have a good organic selection.I was in at about 8:30 at night on Sat with the store very empty. I bought an energy drink and checked out with the express cashier Joshua (instead of self check out) who smiled at me and was friendly.We were having a conversation for no more than 5 minutes when an irate Missy storms over with lines under her eyes. She told me, Customers complain about talking to our cashiers, you need to leave! He needs to work!She delivered this with a nasty tone. There was no need at all. Theres way nicer ways to say things and if you cant do that, you can adjust your tone. I wanted to tell her ok, Ill let him resume doing nothing because no one is here. But I didnt reply....Someone else should be in charge for sure, I would love to see Stop & Shop train new people for their jobs because every time I see them they are miserable and rude. These girls need to be spoken to about proper customer service. Im a customer. My family members are. Thank you.

Rotisserie chickens were looking quite svelte. Other than that, everything was fine.

We took our son grocery shopping here . Store was stocked very well. Alot if extra items we didnt even think of and were happy to find while here.

Fresh produce, meats, and seafood off the boat daily. In house bakery. Organic and Gluten free sections of the store. Wide uncluttered aisles.

I just have to learn my way around. But well organized. Good variety. Clean. Very friendly staff + helpful.

Large Stop and Shop. Good produce, meat and fish sections. Dairy and bread selections (some breads are specialty) are generous. However, I find prices here very high compared to other area grocery stores.

Excellent store to shop in later at night when no one is there

Always well stock, fresh fruit, vegs, fish, organic products abound, meats, if you dont see it ask at the meat counter. Sometimes its slow at checkout. Choose you time to shop, early morning and late evening.

We are always audited here, frustratingly. This is compounded by the only cardholder (manager) was not available and a bagger casting aspersions on why we were being audited. We always come up as being valid when audited. We would avoid the scanner that causes the audit if we could receive the same deals as without the device. We were told by the card holder that we were audited because we had 6 of the same item (gallon bottles of water).

Very well stocked, larger grocery store. I know its a beach town with a lot of out-of-towners (like us!), so my 4 star rating is just due to small aisle space for crowded shopping trips.

If youre buying grapes and in a hurry, stand in line for a cashier, self checkout required sales assistance, not once but twice. Same for the woman next to me, but the sales assistant was great!

Shopping here sometimes can be a bit hectic as its a very popular grocery store and tons of people go there. Also some of the staff down by the register seems a bit SPACEY but deli is great and everyone else is super pleasant.

WATCH YOUR RECEIPTS!! I had 9 items not ringing up with the sale price at the register and when I went to (non) customer service the dipwad behind the counter claimed it was because I didnt present my Stop & Shop card. As my receipt CLEARLY showed, I most certainly did! Go to Market Basket or Shaws: no stupid store card needed there! Only one or two registers open and very unhappy looking cashiers!

Very slow at cashier one Express open and one regular cashier at 5PM. Got very frustrated when you just want run through and no people to help you but they have a robot 😡 where is all the workers?? I thought the strike they had before Easter solved the problem.

This location has changed. It had friendly and helpful staff but now it seems all the familiar faces are gone. The store itself is convenient as far as location. There is plenty of parking. Outside this store is also a Redbox if your looking to rent movies. I also find this store to be pricer which is due to the touristy area during summer months. The workers are either nice like one gentleman I asked a question to or rude because youre from out of state. They dont like out of state people here. Tourists do make this store during the summer months but, they also depend on tourists for their business hence, more working hours available. This store has your typical deli and butcher area. The produce is very nice and fresh.

Ive been to a few locations, and this one is the closest to where I am staying. Nothing to write home about. Not as big as the one north of me and the staff was rude. Seemed dirty, too, compared to the others Ive been to. I am sure it is good, but just didnt make a great first impression for me. The one on Exit 5 is legit, though. Go there!

Expiration dates were already passed on deli potato salad and pepperoni. Pepperoni had May 2017 dates. I ended up checking every item as I shopped. Two days as go I bought packaged Colby jack cheese in the sealed package section and at home I discovered green mold. That had a Sept. 2017 date.I must say staff were friendly!

Customer service are terrible， they dont even know the password to let new customer enroll the Scan it software. They hang off it call once connected often. But the food are Good, employee r friendly except the ones r in customer service centre

Poor customer service. Ask staff for help and they tell you not their department. Items on special are frequently out of stock. Go to North Kingston for a better Stop and Shop experience.

I am a regular customer in Stop and Shop in Narragansett. Yesterday morning I ran in and bought a yogurt pafet for lunch. When I finally got to eat it, it was full of hair.. So I brought it back.. When I explained this to the man at the customer service counter, his only comment was Would you like another one?.. No apology, nothing.. To say the least, I was disappointed with the store.. The store was full of biting flies. There were hundreds on the front windows. We wanted to shop, but could not because of the flies so we just got out of there

Depressing grocery store was painted date gray, aisle sign lettering is too small and I have decent vision, signs also very high. I left without purchasing a thing.

Fresh seafood. Great deal on live lobsters. Long checkout lines still pretty quick.

Was looking for a smaller package of steak tips but there weren’t any, so i asked the butcher if he had any. He looked at me, said nothing, then opened the large package and with HIS BARE HANDS he grabbed the meat and put it on a smaller styrofoam plate and wrapped it for me. Disgusting

If youre shopping here, read the fine print on every price tag carefully!! When I went shopping, the butter was listed in the flyer for $2.50 (if you have a coupon and spend $25), $3.00 (if you purchase two) and $4.37 if you dont read the fine print and just want to buy some butter. The bell peppers had a sign for $1 each and no discernible fine print but when I made it to the checkout that was not the price that rang up. Instead they rang up at $1.79 each. When I told the cashier there was a sign that stated the peppers were a dollar a piece, he voided the item and punched in the code on the peppers and the price jumped up to $1.99 each! They have signs in the store for good deals and maybe if you know the secret handshake you can get them, otherwise avoid this place!!!!! I wont be shopping here again...

Just got home from shopping at Stop & Shop on a Sunday morning between 9-10am. When I checked my receipt at home there were 4 things on my receipt that they had charged me too much. Now I will go back which is inconvenient. Also, there were NO baggers on for a Sunday morning. Each line (there were 4 to 5 of them open) did not have a bagger. No wonder Shaws is so much busier now!

Customer service, some are great. The produce is rotten and expensive. I have returned items often. Even in the summer when the fruit is supposed to be fresh, it has been rotten. Often, they put a sale price on goods that are outdated or rotten as well. I think they must make a lot of money this way, since there are numerous people that will not return items. it all adds up. People should return food that is no good, or out dated. Otherwise, the company will make money on poor quality or food that should be thrown out, or donated to local farms to feed the animals.

Stop and shop is a local supermarket secretly run by the government in an attempt to brainwash citizens into buying way more food than they need. The concept is simply complicated in an easy to understand manner. First they established a chain of supermarkets operating in the greater New England area. Next they employ pseudo pathological product placement in strategic areas based on typical foot traffic patterns. Next they offer deals such as the four for 5 dollars on products that are rapidly approaching the end of their shelf life in an effort to ensure that the consumer throws away as much food as possible. Finally, they will at some point in the future seize control of the refuse disposal companies and all landfills in the continental U.S. and charge exorbitant fees for waste disposal. Think about it.

Was good ..had everything I needed

My husband bought me my birthday cake today was supposed to be yellow, the box said golden. We cut into it and it was chocolate. I was not happy. I cant eat chocolate.
