I have known Kurk for 20 years, since the beginning of his employment at Star Machine. Over the years, I have always been impressed with his work, I am a welder by trade and always took notice to his skills with silver soldering, which by far, is no easy task. One of my interist lies with building harley choppers, the old skool way, bikes from the 50,s and 60,s. Recently I had a S&S model B carburator which needed the throttle shaft bushings repaired.. After doing some research about this project, I soon realized that I was way over my head. This is a complicated job.. I was fortuanate to have Kurk do the machining on this carb. I dropped it off late Friday, and picked it up on Monday.putting me ahead of schedule. I just finished up the assembly of the throttle plate. it s dead on, if I hold the carb up to a light, I can not see any light shinging through the edges of the plate. this type of accuracy is almost impossible with this job, but Kurk hit a home run. Funny thing is, is that I knew that he would make it as good as S&S built it. Any of you guys out there who wrench their own bikes and know your limitations on what you can and can not do, when machine work is needed, dont hesitate to give his a call, you will be very pleased with his work, Thanks Kevin
