Its old but ok. One very important thing to know is if you go when it rains most of the parking lot floods, deeply. We took our shoes off and were almost knee deep in water walking to our car.
The fair was sketchy from the wristbands. The Tomb of Doom was terrifying, not for the reasons you’d think.
Wont be back. They over sold seats for SRX race. People standing on walk ways cant see the race. The stadium board is all jacked up cant see what lap it is. Cant understand anything thr announcer says. Its horrible. We will stick with Lucas oil raceway. Maybe nashville needs to take some lessons from them.
Smaller than before. Way fewer vendors than past years. Nice to be back again though
My husband is working there helping build soccer stadium
I was excited to go to this flea market being the 4th weekend of the month. But it was closed even though the web site said open. NOT. they need to update the site if closed!!!! Thanks
What a awesome place!! Wonderful staff ..
Horrible i Wasted $95 for parking,2 bracelets, and entrance and it was boring I was only there for 1 hour or less
No signs, couldnt find my way to the house expo.
Whats to tell, the new soccer stadium is being built which should be hopefully done by next year. So you fans out there get ready for the new home for the Nashville Soccer Club.
Dasso XTR siding, mock up Nashville MLS Stadium.
It the best you should go there. There alot of cheap stuff
Great pro Late Model Race! Better luck next time Bubba P.
Love this place.Does anyone know if it’s gonna be open this weekend?
Very well maintained
The Fairgrounds attract a number of fun seasonal vendors throughout the year. Parking is $5 cash for many events, so make sure you bring bills in order to park. From being the home to a historic horse track turned car race track to being a place that showcases artisan products, come expecting a great experience!
The remodel of this place is awesome. Just attended the train show as a vendor. Excellent facility with awesome concession stand. This place rocks!
Y2019 FairParking was causing traffic.Lines to get admission were full.Lines to the 5 - 7 rides were all over the place.Granted a Saturday night this could have been managed better.Given the long line we waited 20 minutes to get on our first one since the driver decided to socialize with a co worker.Just build the soccer stadium if you’re not going to do the fair right.
Future home of Nashville soccer ✌️💫🤩
I called to book a vendor booth just a week before the show. When I called the staff looking for information, they were so helpful. I was able to book a booth within 15 minutes !!
Fun
I dont know about the other reviewers confusion but this fair was great. The fried catfish from one of the smaller food trucks was the best Ive ever had and the rides were great. The best part of the fair was the face painting at the top of the hill between the buildings there, its a black tent with huge flags that say face painting. The lady was so nice and I wish we could post pictures because the kids looked amazing. It is worth going back just for the face painting. Theres a smaller face painter down the hill by the entrance where we watched for a moment and decided it wasnt for us. Definitely dont get it by the gate when you enter its really sketchy. Other than that the thrill zone had just enough rides for my stomach to handle and they even had a water ride! More than enough to spend the day enjoying and we will be back next year just for the food and face painting at the top of the hill.
Went to the Home Show today Saturday Feb 8th 2020. Drove to Nashville from Clarksville.$5 to park $16 for the two of us. They advertised 500 vendors. What a joke. Not even 100 vendors. Half were windows and gutters.Looking for a garage builder, fireplace stone for wall, deck builder, concrete walkway. Just some of my projects. What a waste of time.
Tennessee State Fair review. Avoid at all costs. Not a state Fair, a glorified county Fair at best. Very limited food choices, especially fried food. We made this fair part of our vacation from VA and it was a big waste of time and money. Went on Sunday and most of the livestock exhibits were over. The layout of the fairgrounds is a lot of hilly walking. We bought tickets online in advance, printed the tickets out, and had 20 minutes of hassle trying to get into the fair. Parking lot attendants were your typical apathetic types. I would literally pay to not have to go back here again, it was that bad. A real State Fair was on my bucket list, but this amateurish attempt doesnt even come close to making the grade. Would have given it 0 stars if that was an option. This is the place where other State Fairs come to die.
Not worth the traffic!Went to Oddities Expo today. It was awesome. But whoever directs traffic should be fired! They blocked traffic in one direction to let all the traffic go in another direction for about 20-30 mins. Instead of letting some people go in one direction, then letting some people go in the other direction. This was ridiculous &Unnecessary, keeping people from getting out for no reason! Unprofessional!
We bought tickets for the All American 400. After it was cancelled last minute with zero communication, no one has answered calls, emails, or any other inquiries about refunds. We received tickets in the mail, 4 MONTHS later stating they were non refundable. You can however use them at other races, but yet you mailed these 4 months after two of the races? Horrible horrible horrible customer experience.
Could hardly call this a flea market. The vendors are rude and will not bargain. Prices are so high I would recommend saving your gas and buying online for less. Not going back.
On fairground property above parking lot. Not much but power for 50, 30, and basic plug with water and sewage thats a hole. Spaces are just wide enough for slide outs but thats all. No restrooms that are near. 30 sites. Park tow vehicle in space in front. Didnt stay for a race or fair but to go downtown and watch Hockey. Gentlemen who come buy to collect fees are accommodating. Think they are maintenance crew for the grounds. Cash or checks only. $35 a night no matter whats going on. Close to downtown where the action is. Id come back. Three stars just because its a little trashy.
We visited this monthly Flea Market while traveling through Tennessee last week. How dissapointed. Every vendor thinks everything they have is extremely rare and valuable. Or they price things because they really dont want to sell what they have. Spent all day there, tried to buy something all day, and walked away with nothing. This is not a Flea Market, it is a huge display of used up items that nare not for sale. That is unless you want to pay full new retail price for used items.
Have been going to the flea market for over 40 yrs. we will miss it. Losing this is another reason we are happy we moved to williamson co. 30 yrs ago.
Pleasant experience.
As a new vendor they never return calls regarding their flea market. I have called them 10 times and still waiting for a call or some consideration. Not professional.
Love love looovvvee this place
This fair was awful! We are from Knoxville, TN and had high hopes for the Nashville fair. Our fair in Knoxville is 100% better than this. We have recently moved near Nashville and weve got to find a better fair than this one for our family!
Back in the early 80s known for the best midsouth wrestling around
First time visiting Nashville fairgrounds was to attend this weekend Unlimited Offroad Show and also be apart of it. The event was spectacular! The people did amazing and were great! Personally my favorite part is Nashville is pet friendly! which allowed us to bring our wonderful baby boy which kinda stole the show 😂😂😂...hes a red Doberman Pinscher..we hung around the Crawlher tent while the wife worked a bit...anyways great place great event..Nashville is Awesome!
The fairgrounds are old and out of date. They are in the process of building new facilities. Hope they will be better.
It might have been fun who knows??? We came from out of state just for the flea market after looking up its business hours which specified that it was indeed open. Yeah its not! They only open during specific times of the month and year. Wasted a lot of money and gas on this trip.
Its amazing if you go here get ready for some good deals
Place was ok. Event was very good. Antique show.
We visited on the last day of season so its not really fair to judge especially since the temp had dropped about 40 degrees overnight and many vendors went home early. What was left was still worth it though. I imagine in-season its much better with more booths. Very mixed bag of things for sale. If you are a flea market person, I doubt you will be disappointed.
Neat space and fun events come to the fairgrounds. Nice to have a spot that isnt over-developed and still reasonably priced.
Been going for years always find something...Happy they still have this
Love going to this place every month. Bring your walking shoes because you will be walking to some very good deals.
We came from out of town for a festival that was to be at the fairgrounds. We were able to purchase our tickets on Thursday for the event on Saturday. When we got to the fairgrounds on Saturday, we were disappointed to find out that the event had been cancelled with no notification and there were no fair employees available. Race track employees gave us the little information that they had.DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU CAN AVOID IT!
The Fairgrounds itself as a whole, is due for an update, and hearing it is about to happen. Hopefully they will cover the peep holes in the mens bathroom stalls.Monthly on 4th weekend is the flea market. Lots of great finds here from antiques, collectibles, art, many great deals. Car shows, gun shows and many other events held throughout the year
We went to the Tennessee state fair this weekend and I have to say this is a joke of a fair! Go to the Wilson county fair in tn instead, that is the true state fair of Tennessee. We knew this fair was going to be small from other reviews on yelp, but we wanted to give it a chance and were very disappointed!! This is more like a county fair, it is small and felt unfriendly, it took us 3 hours to see everything and we only stayed around till closing because of the car racing in the grandstand which was really cool. The best parts of it was the animals and the car racing thats it, if it wasnt for the car racing it would not have been worth the money of $5 parking and $8 per adult. There was hardly any food maybe 12 food stands in the food area and a few scattered here and there, There were 3 small buildings total, the art, agriculture, and market building. 3 stages for music or entertainment. Plenty of games and kids rides, but only a few adult rides. There are tons of cows, goats, pigs, chickens, and mules, a few bunnies and sheep, no horses. The horse arena didnt have anything going on saturday, and there was a small kids area with a 4 pet petting zoo by volunteer village. If you are a kid then you would enjoy it, but there is really nothing for the adults to do here. Me and my husband both agreed we wont be coming back next year.
Good place to shop at the flea market fun for the family.
I have been here a few times for different events! I love it here! Fun!
China lights festival and farmers market are both great.
ONE OF THE BEST TO DOS IN NASHVILLE AREAFROM FRUIT TO FINE RUGS THIS FLEA MARKET EXPO IS TOP NOTCHITEMS AND PRICES TO FIT EVERYONEMUST DO
Great staff, fun venue, abundant parking...always an adventure!!
Always good events going on. At least you walk up the hill on the way in and not out
Went to the swap meet Sunday, there parking was pitiful and seemed like no one knows whats going on,,,, jeeze whats gonna happen if that ever get that stupid soccer stadium built ?
Not too big just right for and amazing fair.
Save your money! Incredibly overpriced and it would appear that they went to the penitentiary to hire their employees. The rudest staff Ive ever encountered at a fair. Will NEVER return!
Its huge! Mostly antiques, but other things can be found as well. $5 parking.
Great place for selling and shopping. You can also camp out the are showers
Love the flea market here.
RV park was not what we expected. Just a few sites, trash on the ground. The help was friendly though.
This place always has neat stuff and awesome bargains!
Not the most secure place, but I have no complaints.
U mean to tell me!! U rather closed the fair ground just to see some sweaty jerks run back an forth kicking a dam ball!!
It would be a better place if they would spend some money on appearances.
Love love love Country Fan Jams home!!
Event staff is rude and today not even here and open at 7 like they said they would be
The worst state fair I have ever been to. They dont have much to see or do. They do not have cheese curd and that is the whole reason my husband and I went! So disappointed! We will never go back.
Fun awesome stuff
I Love
