I have been without service since July 10,2021 and have been faithfully paying my monthly bill.All to find out that my alarm system wasn’t communicating to the center.So ADT wouldn’t have heard my cry in case of emergency.I have been just giving my money away.I have been a customer for over 25 years.You’re about to lose me.When I tried calling 4:00am all I can get is holdand music.Call later on that day I was transferred twice and hung up on once.

INCOMPETENT!! For months ADT has been trying to upgrade the radio for my alarm system. First time I waited at home the entire window of time to get a call to say the tech was not coming and I had to reschedule. Second trip the tech knocks the key into the box and cant install because he could not get in and the only other modem option is on backorder. MONTHS later they call and schedule again and I explain the situation and they promise to send a tech with a master key. The tech calls at the end of the window and says he can still come. I agree and he comes in with NO key but was able to get the key out. Then proceeds to FRY the whole system killing everything. Sets up another appointment to fix. So the 4th tech shows up hours BEFORE the support window with nothing but a screwdriver and ANOTHER radio and no ability to address the fact my system is fried. I am told I have to rearrange my life again because of ADT FAILURES. I tried to get it expedited because the actual window had not even started the customer service rep was very nice and offered me a credit but after trying for 30 min she came back to let me know the local manager just DOES NOT CARE. SO I am spending the time away from MY REAL WORK looking at other providers.

I have been a customer with ADT for over 10 years. I recently upgraded my system after being offered free equipment and installation-so I thought! The tech arrived without the proper equipment and left the appointment to meet another tech. He claimed I owed almost $90 for the install not sure where that came from! I called the sales rep who then transferred me to accounts management. I ended up transferred 3-4 times without help. The tech was finally able to get the balance to zero. He then failed to upgrade all of my window sensors. The camera is failing to sense motion and has not recorded properly since installation.The job was terrible!

PLEASE DO NOT GET SERVICES FROM HERE!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!! I’ve never been so stressed out by a company in my life. Alarm system was perfectly fine, I was getting emails and calls about swapping out my SIM card or else they wouldn’t be able to receive notification that my alarm was going off. Ever since then, my alarm goes off in the middle of the night, in the morning, during the day. I have had two service appointments, still no resolution. I have had to request time off from work to accommodate THEIR schedule, still no resolution. Outrageous and absolutely ridiculous. Please don’t make the same mistake I did. It has been one month! I am sleep deprived and exhausted!

My appointment was scheduled between 8am-12pm and I expected the tech to be there well after 9am. Well I woke up and the tech had called me around 7:30 which was 30 minutes before my appointment to inform me that he was on his way. We was able to keep our distance accordingly to CDC guidelines. Basically we talked about the system and what doors was linked to the system and I brewed my coffee and left him to do his job. We reviewed the paperwork and I was able to have it done and signed by the time he got the equipment out of the truck. By the way he was finished with the job in like 1 hour when I was told estimated 2 hours.

ADT canceled my appointment twice. When the technician did arrived he completed the task quickly. However, the work order summary was never reviewed with me nor was I aware there would be a $25 Service Call - Trip Charge. I didnt see this merntioned in the email requesting me to schedule the equipment update, nor was it mentioned by any of the schedulers or the service technician. Never would have expected to be charged to update a service providers outdated equipment.

My doorbell worked perfectly for an entire year. Then it stopped. The technician said he didn’t know how to fix it and I could wait a few months and get signed up for a newer doorbell that was coming out. I was super disappointed. I’ve NEVER had this type of service call. I’m not sure I want to continue doing business with a company that is unable to repair their own products.

Dont waste your time with this company. I had a home account and a business account. These people have zero communication with their customers. Very poor management, and customer service. I honestly cant think of anything positive to say. May just pay the termination fee, and go with Anyone else.

The installation was fine, the set up was explained and i was satisfied. Everything was going great and I specifically remember asking if there was a cost in case of a move out, the specialist guaranteed me that there would be no charge and how easy it would be, I even spoke to his manager who gave me and my spouse more details. 5-6 months into having the alarm system an unexpected move happened, here we are trying to get it settled out and now being told about two different charges when we were told differently. Its not the money that they are charging me that is an issue, my issue is them having so many fine print additional charges that they decide to tell you even after you are guaranteed otherwise. Ive almost never had an issue with any company up till now, and it didnt happen once it happened twice. I should have seen the red flag when they advertised free installation and then charge you $100 for installation, its such a unneeded headache and I promise that there are so many better security companies that offer better prices and hassle free experience.

Have been dealing with ADT in regards to the same issue since October ‘20. Between having to call and schedule my own service appointment after I was supposed to get a call within a week, to having a tech show up unprepared and without equipment & not to mention a tech come into my home yesterday and tell me “I don’t care who you talked to or what they said.” (Yes, he actually said that) I have had it with this company. Guests at my home were baffled after the ADT tech left my home just by the way I was spoken to. Would not recommend ADT to anyone. EVER.

We have been very pleased with our ADT alarm system. The first night after we got it, our doorbell system went off and we found a sheriff’s deputy at the door! A neighbor’s horses got out and they thought they we ours. We were thrilled with it from day 1. Our sales rep, Steven Kruzinski has checked with us to see that we were pleased. He was great, helping us decide what we needed. The others who installed it were great, thorough, and made sure we understood the system. Could not be more pleased!

This has been a surprisingly horrible experience with ADT! The sales rep Bill Barlow sold me a system that was obsolete! He ordered a 2018 system that malfunctioned! The “brain “ was a 2018 model that a technician told me was defective! It was suppose to provide signal to the cameras and failed most of the time! This resulted in 12 contacts and complaints! They installed the ring door camera utilizing a battery system! Too lazy to hard wire it!! I repeated requested a tech to come and hard wire it! There was a lengthy wait time to speak to a technician so I called Bill Barlow several times with no response! He then blocked my number on his cell phone!!! THIS IS NOT SERVICE

The technician I dealt with, Joseph, was very professional and took great precautions while in my home. He worked extremely hard to take care of all my needs and issues with the system as there were a few things I was unaware of. These days it is rare to receive great customer service but I will say that he exceeded my expectations and I am grateful.

I have been completely satisfied with my ADT Security System.My salesman, (Steven Krusinsky) did an excellent job of explaining everything to me. Told me everything that would take place from start to finish. He made himself available for any questions that I had.He called to remind me the day of my installation and called again after my system was installed to make sure that I was happy with everything.He was always extremely polite and very professional.I have called Customer Service a couple of times to find out how to do something. They are always friendly, polite and helpful.I am 100% happy that I went with ADT.

My Equipment installed by ADT techs hasn’t worked properly since install. After 4 visits, including the install, 3 different techs have come to “fix/repair” the faulty equipment with no avail. I have been told to “go to Home Depot” to buy separate equipment and “YouTube it” on how to fix by the technician, the same tech also charged me for a replacement part that did nothing to fix the issue! Customer service has given me the run around for weeks now. ADT offers a 6month MONEY BACK GUARANTEE but refuses to honor it! They have given account credits claiming this should solve the dispute. Not sure how account credits fix equipment failures, especially when ADTs own techs can’t repair/fix the issue. Honor your 6mo MONEY BACK GUARANTEE!

We had an ADT technician come to our house to install a doorbell unit and alarm system. The employee arrived, did not wear a mask although my wife was 9 months pregnant at the time, proceeded to put his drinks in our fridge, use our bathroom, hold our dog but then refuse to touch our debit card for payment. To add, this technician lied to my wife and told her that if we added extra things -- such as door sensors and a fire alarm, they would only be 0.83 cents that day. If we waited, they would be $50 any day following. With such a great deal, we obviously jumped at it and had him reiterate the deal several times. Even saying things like Im only making a dollar and some change commission off this, its such a great deal! And cant take my family to Disney off this install. This tech stayed for over four hours, just talking nonstop to my wife that was attempting to work from home. Making her so uncomfortable, she had to call her mother to come over. When all was through, my shock came as I saw my profile quote jump by nearly $1000. The sensors, the fire alarm, they were charged to me at the rate of $50. A far cry from the 0.83 cents promised. I called and communicated with customer support more times than I could count trying to see what went wrong. The local branch manager, Chris, struggles to communicate with me. Ignoring my voicemails. Things went haywire with our system, so we had a tech come out to address the issue. The tech reported we would have to order a part for the doorbell that wasnt working and did mention that they did offer a deal to add sensors same day, it was $2 for extra sensors and alarms though. Amazing since their branch manager never heard of a deal as the ones now two techs referenced. We called again to try and resolve the issue and once again, were ignored. We had another tech come out with the parts to fix the doorbell, however he was unable to and we were instructed to go to Home Depot, buy the part and install ourselves! YET, the part that DOES NOT WORK that the tech came to install, was charged to us on our account. We called customer support yet again, giving us the run around. I have attempted to get my 6 months money back guarantee after three techs have come out, lies on the local branch and tech ends as well as countless time spent talking to customer service. I have screenshots of all the communication as well as call logs of myself trying to get in touch with our local branch with no communication from their end. They refuse to acknowledge my problems, or to fix them, or honor their 6 month money back guarantee after 3 tech visits in a 3mo span(4 if you include the canceled appointment from their end due to the tech not having the part on his van). Absolutely awful company to have dealt with thus far and would have never went through with their security system if we had any clue of the massive headaches to follow.

I changed my alarm system from vivant to ADT after speaking with Greg Downing about what ADT could offer. They give me the service I want and I am confident my home is secure. Greg Downing ensured the system was installed the way I needed and is still available if I have questions. I recommend ADT as a professional and well managed service.

I bought my first house and was going to go vivant. The sales person with vivant was pushy and wasn’t trying to listen to me, just trying to make a sale. I called ADT after speaking with Greg Downing about what ADT could offer. He took the time to listen to me and my wife’s concerns. Greg Downing ensured the system was installed the way I needed and is still available if I have questions. He even came back out to make adjustments to my camera. He is one of the most professional people I have ever dealt with . I recommend ADT as a professional and well managed service.

Horrible Account Management:Is been very pleased with my home security system for the last 12 years. Prior to selling home I spent almost an hour on the phone with corporate ADT call center, jumping through the various hoops of the phone system and dropped calls to cancel my account.ADT corporate office never canceled account and continued to invoice the old address as it was active. 6 months later, Im discovering the account is still active and theres a balance due. I make my second call (another hour) to cancel and resolve balance due. Im told Ill receive a letter in 6 - 8 weeks of cancellation and who to contact to appeal.No one can help me until I receive the official letter. So, I essentially have 6 - 8 weeks to stew on what was a good experience with ADT and write negative reviews like this.Corporate ADT does not permit reviews, so unfortunately their sins must fall on the backs of their local retailers social reviews.

If there was an option to give zero stars, you bet I would. After canceling my alarm system due to prices going up & the alarm system seriously doing the bare minimum, I refuse to pay for an alarm system that does not fit my needs. After canceling, I was to be billed the final amount, in which I did AFTER the fact that they legally took out nearly $70 WITHOUT my permission. They will take out your money without your permission, so beware. DO NOT use ADT if you want honest people go elsewhere!!!!

Our house was hit by a tornado requiring us to move. When we contacted ADT to cancel our plan they said that they were sorry about our house but could not waive the early cancelation fee of $395.11. I had stated that we will be renewing service with them once we moved back in but they repeated that the cancelation fee could not be waived. Needless to say we will be using a different service once our house gets rebuilt.

I have 2 accounts with ADT, home and business. I havent been able to use my home system in months because they want to charge me to come fix their equipment even though I pay them monthly. My business is there same way, pay them monthly but their equipment is malfunctioning and they want more money. I refuse to pay more on principle. I would gladly cancel today but they have me in a contract. I now pay for a system I cant use. Really displeased with ADT

The worst customer service I have ever experienced, worse than comcast. You call and they run you around and around and around. I’ve had an ongoing issue for 3 weeks since install and still not resolved. On top of all that they took a nice more expensive (ADT) system out of my house and put in this ugly brick on the wall that looks like it came from 1996 I feel like I was robbed, literally. No one cares when you are talking to them and as they transfer you from department to department, you sit and explain the story over and over again. After hours on the phone day after day for weeks... I’m Done. New customer canceling now due to this awful experience. Stay away! I’m going with other less expensive and more smart home friendly options.

Please do not send salesmen to people’s houses after dark. My female roommate was terrified when she saw 2 men outside my home while she was there alone. Absolutely unacceptable. I have no interest in ADT and never did, no reason to send salesmen!!!!
