Make your own is so fun! Don’t forget your boozy ice cream shake! Definitely a must!
They closed early on their first day open. We drove more than an hour just to visit this shop on their first day open in a while. We checked all posted and even called to confirm that they were open till 6pm. When we got to the doors at 5:10pm they were closed with a hand written door just saying they closed at 5pm, without reason. We even asked a staff member at the door if we could just take our son in to walk around for just a couple minutes. They said they had no product to sell and would not let us in. This was the only place my son wanted to visit in Nashville and we almost made that happen for him. If only they had updated their posts and articles that they would be closing early. We did not get to experience the shop and leave town tomorrow.
Even though I never been here the handmade googoo’s that I have had are the top BEST chocolate I have had in the country. Spectacular flavor. Every time I order everything come neatly package and in great condition. Service is always amazingly good and I encourage everyone to give the premium googoo ( any flavor) a try. You will HOOKED
The name sake candy, Goo Goo Cluster was created in 1912 here in Nashville so this is a must to visit when in Nashville. While they sell their main namesake clusters. It is also a dessert bar with shakes, ice cream and luscious desserts. They do also have a local chef created treat Goo Goo that changes. So check out their site periodically to see which chef will be creating during your visit. This is still a small family owned business staying true to the original recipe and quality of Goo Goo Cluster. We wanted to do the Secrets of Goo Goo class, where they have wine pairings with some of their chocolates and treats as well as getting to create your own Goo Goo creation; however, it was not offered during our travel dates. We did do the Taste of Goo Goo Class, where we made our own personal Goo Goo treat, learned about their peanut butter while making an icing with it for a house made brownie topping. We then enjoyed a sample version of a Blondie dripping with caramel with aside of their Goo Goo Cluster inspired milkshake. Yummy! It was fun and we enjoyed meeting a local father and daughter doing a quality day together as a belated Fathers day gift. Ashley did a great job teaching our foursome. We enjoyed talking with some locals about places to see and eat. Highly recommend!
I really liked this little sweet shop. It was a bit overpriced but that us to be expected being that it is in a tourist area of downtown.I bought a few goo goo treats to bring back to my friends in NYC and I also purchased a piece of fudge for my daughter and a chocolate shake for myself. I didnt think I would be able to finish the shake but I did. It was thick and tasty without being overly sweet. They have samples of goo goo clusters to try as well.Service was good too.
Stopped in here for the first time last weekend after seeing this on Marriage or Mortgage on Netflix. The store was blocked off and the only flavor you could buy was the Pecan flavor. There was a group in the store and the workers did not acknowledge myself and the person I was with when we entered. We waited for about 5 minutes and never were acknowledged. I ended up trying the original flavor from another store that sold them. Original flavor was okay but not mind blowing. I was super excited but this experience let me down. Maybe I’ll get to make my own custom one another day. *sigh*
My mom and I came to the Goo Goo shop on Oct. 27, 2020. We came to visit Nashville from Chicago. The Goo Goo shop is a cute and fun shop to bring children and to get good treats if you like Chocolate. I bought a Goo Goo cluster and it was good. It tasted like a Turtle only with marshmallow. You can also create your own Goo Goo cluster if you like. We took a picture inside and they also have souvenirs you can purchase. Great place to visit
We were visiting from out of town and were able to make our own candy bars. It was a lot of fun and cool to learn about the history.
So fun...design your own Goo Goo Cluster bar! Goo Goo Clusters were always one of my hubbys faves so this a nifty experience.
These clusters are absolutely delicious! On top of that, the history adds to the taste. I love how the Goo Goo Clusters show how some recipes are truly timeless. I brought a box back to the office and they didnt last long at all. I will definitely be making this a regular stop when Im in Nashville!
Had special hours due to covid. Can make custom candies. A bit pricey, but not surprising since its catering to tourists.
The hands on class was great, had a very good time doing something a little different!
This place was so cool. Youre able to create your own Goo Goo bar here. Well, you pick the ingredients and the staff makes the bar for you, but youre able to watch the bar being made.
Attended the Goo Goo ExperienceParticipants prepare two desserts/confections to take home. The photo is of the Custom Made Goo Goo which I made as a part of the class. Our class had 20 people in it; not crowded at all. We enjoyed meeting the people around us, some from the Nashville area, others tourists (a family of 4 from Vermont was next to us).Reservations are required for the Goo Goo Experience. There is a gift store with Goo Goo confections, tee shirts, onesies, glassware, aprons, et cetera.
Saw online. Had to come by. I definitely was missing out. Delicious.
Excellent customer service! Back in June I bought a cluster gift pack for my father. It said I could switch out the popcorn flavor for another so I did knowing he wouldnt like the Downtown mix it comes with. It didnt get switched out Im sure by mistake. I emailed and he had the flavor I originally wanted the next day!
We stopped in to make our own goo goo cluster and glad we did, they were delicious! They cost about 10 dollars a piece to make which we thought was kinda pricey but after tasting them it was worth it.
I popped in here to grab some goodies for a friend in Ohio. Perfect Valentines day gift, they loved them!
We were so excited to grab some Goo Goos after leaving the Cash museum. We got enough for ourselves and family back home. Goo Goos are little pieces of heaven. It was also the first time I was able to try peanut butter and my life has been changed. We will definitely get more next time we are in the area, but try something at the dessert bar next! It smelled incredible walking into the store.
Come on, how could you possibly go wrong in a shop filled with ice cream and candy! We tried a couple of the ice creams and a couple of the deserts that were available. The ice cream was absolutely incredible! The peanut butter fudge and flourless peanut butter cake was also pretty good but the ice cream you must try.
I had never heard of a goo goo cluster until planning our vacation to Nashville, and I was very happy we added this shop to the list! The original goo goo cluster is a delicious circular candy bar comprised of peanuts, caramel and soft marshmallow nougat encased in mouthwatering milk chocolate. I’d visit Nashville again just for these candies!
Cool little piece of history hidden in the midle of the city
I stopped by because I remembered eating Goo Goo clusters when I was a kid and thought it would fun to see how theyre made. Everyone was really nice but the experience was not much better than the Goo Goo display at Cracker Barrel. No one was making chocolate, there were no opportunities to try/buy a fresh cluster, and there was not a variety of souvenirs beyond a handful of t-shirts and cups.I believe the chocolate classes have some potential to be fun as the instructional section they had roped off looked like it yielded a fun, hands-on experience.
We tried seveal of their candy flavors and they were all great. The shop is also super cute and very clean.
The clusters are delicious however the employees here need to be taught how to greet customers with respect.
The Goo Goo Shop is a Nashville staple--and rightfully so! Obviously, Goo Goo Clusters are delicious, but the customization options and the amazing hospitality of this shop make it so much better than your average candy bar. The chocolate making classes are fun for everyone and their photo wall is always a blast!
They prepared a great dessert called Sunday Morning something which has a crazy good brownie bottom.
I saw you on Netflix. I stopped by when I visited the area !
Super cool little store. Wish we had time for the classes but only unfortunately was able to pop in and look around. Goo Goo clusters themselves are absolutely amazing, so definitely pick some up. The store has some awesome looking stuff to purchase as well, and I would say it is worth a quick stop if you are down this road.
Good place to get your goo goo fix. Kinda pricey tho. great staff
Went here after hearing about the famous Nashville goo goo candy on the Old Town Trolley tour. The candy was as good as advertised and definitely worth going in for.
Glad we stopped today, theyre closing for renovations starting tomorrow
Super cute place and great for bonding with your children. I highly recommend it.
A wonderful candy shop, historic to Nashville
Wow love this place. Had all the candy you could think of when you grew up. I was amazed and could have bought out the whole store. Some things are a little pricey. But if i had time i would have doesnt hours in there. Gummy bears, candy buttons, lolly pops, the list goes on. People are friendly. Clean and neat and organized place. Fun place to work. Free parking.
Really fun to check out while visiting Nashville.
The Original (my fave!) along with many variations including create your own cluster is available. Ice cream & souvenirs are also available.
Amazing! Got to make my own candy bar and it was amazing!!!!
Great treats. Look for the chefs creation there. I have gotten two different ones and both were excellent. Must stop if youre downtown. Also the pumpkin pie is on point back at the dessert bar. It does close an hour earlier than the store itself.
I love Goo Goo’s and always stop into the factory when in Nashville. Over the holidays I made my first online Goo Goo purchase. I discovered Goo Goo has more than just great chocolate clusters, they also have amazing customer service. Thanks Kalyn for patients and assistance.
Goo Goo is synonymous with yum. I couldnt buy everything but if I could have I would have. Chocolate, nuts, chocolate, yum. Stop in look around, buy an ice cream, lots of chocolate. Take a pic with props. Have fun
Chocolate, caramel, peanut butter, peanuts, nougat, marshmallow, YUM! Build your own goo-goo cluster! This was a fun little stop while walking through downtown and the prices are reasonably cheap. If you love sweets, stop here. If you dont love sweets, stop here and you will leave here a sweets-lover.
Buy all of your GOo Goo here...That offer a military discount as well.
Fun shop, very friendly staffs, nice picture wall with lots props for photos. Good ice cream just a bit overpriced, but taste very good. Even has washroom and drinking water fountain inside the shop! Great stop to cool-off while walking on the crazy hot Nashville street lol
If you find yourself in Nashville, stop by the goo goo shop and buy yourself some goo goo clusters. They are super sweet so have a drink on hand! Really nice place and friendly staff.
I love stopping in every time we visit from Georgia. I have loved them from my childhood, when my father introduced me to them . Nothing like this little bit of joy. My favorite is the Supreme.I also enjoy getting one of their sundaes when I stop by.
The store is really nice. Theres a smell I will never forget, like hot chocolate and candy. You definitely have to try this
Another stop on my summer list this past summer. Prior to the Goo Goo shop wed travelled around town and went to the Johnny Cash museum. It was a wonderful establishment.
Mmmmm googoo cluster
It is always good. Need a lot more seating also, get the people out of there taking up seats not eating. I had to eat on one of your displays. Worth the sweetness just not a relaxing eat and enjoy place.
This is a fun little spot with a great location. I know we can get Goo Goos in Florida, but it adds a bit of authenticity to a trip to Nashville if you get them from the source. Next visit we will grab some ice cream.
I wish I would have built my own goo goo but other than that its exactly what youd expect. Masses of chocolate over nuts and whatever else is there to be mixed in.
The store: plenty of delicious candy. The GooGoo Supreme Cluster (pecan) is really great. Go for it!The dessert: we had the Goo Goo Supreme Pecan Pie, warm and with whipped cream. Not heavenly but close (hence the 4 stars)The staff: the person who took our order was great but the other one forgot several times to warm our pies and the whipped cream so we had to ask several times. In conclusion, its definitely worth visiting to satisfy your sweet-tooth craving!
A must visit in Nashville! And you must create your own Goo Goo Cluster at the ice cream counter. Its well worth the wait and $10+ for it. That is the highlight of this place IMO!
Everyone went goo goo for Goo Goos. We ended up with a few packets coming home to share. Everyone loves Goo Goos. Highly recommended.
