I don’t normally write reviews but had to for this place and the staff!Going to a speakeasy in Nashville is a must and on the top of the list is the Red phone booth! If you want to feel the true southern hospitality this is the place to go. From the moment you walk into the secret door to the moment you leave- though you really don’t want to leave- it’s an amazing experience. Never felt so much love and engaging conversations with the staff and patrons. Vanessa is the best! She fed us so much history of the place, about herself and crafted the most amazing drinks. Definitely would head back when have the chance. Highly recommend this place!

If you manage to get the code to get in -- get ready for a trip back in time at this lounge with authentic speakeasy vibes! This place offers a nice, quieter, more intimate environment if the loud bars of Broadway arent really your speed. And like any speakeasy, the drinks are amazing! There are DOZENS of options on their cocktail menu, starring all sorts of spirits. And -- compared to the drinks at other nice, classier bars around town, the ones here are reasonably priced. And their pizza is amazing!

I understand that there is a dress code. However, there is no standard. We were asked to leave (condescendingly) because one person in our party had shorts on (which was a new rule that they put in place just last week they kept saying). Mind you, a nice put together outfit with button down, nice shorts etc. The 6 people they let in after us had no sports jacket and one was wearing a flannel and jeans. The bar was almost empty and everyone else was casual. If you’re going to have a dress code, don’t just kick out the one person of color who dresses well, but happens to be in shorts. You weren’t requiring anyone else to dress up. That was five locals who will not be going back and we’ll be sharing with others that there are better and nicer speakeasy bars in the city.

Exceptionally sublime cigar lounge experience. Speakeasies are alive and well in Nashville. Crafted cocktails and a cigar collection that would make the King of Spain envious. Castro himself would of marveled at the selection of cigars that are available at the Red Phone Booth. A superb collection of cigars in the neighborhood of 120 varieties for all connoisseurs. Fear not, for all novices who are new to the cigar experience you are in good hands. The RPB staff can help decide on the right selection of the fine cigars in large humidor located in the back of the establishment. To all those cigar aficionados, you have found your Xanadu. The staff here welcome you as if you are close family members. You are spoiled inamenities that can only be found only here in RPB. The cigar lounge has a roaring twenties atmosphere of the period of the prohibition era. Make no mistake, the exclusiveness makes it more special. No Red Bull or Fireball concoctions here folks. Fine spirits representing the finest distilleries from around the globe are at your beckoned call. Madison is truly an artisan of amazing cocktails handed down from a generations of encyclopedia recipes. Morgan our hostess knows her craft. She made us feel like royalty. Always ensuring our needs were met with every detail. Dress appropriately and have a phenomenal time.

Just okay. The guy that let us in was very helpful. Space was fine. Service was lacking. Given a filthy ashtray. Server didn’t come over for 15 minutes. It wasn’t busy at 6:30. Forgot our 7up. That took 40 minutes. Didn’t have the first three bourbons my husband requested. Seems strange to have such an expansive list but not have them. My old fashioned didn’t have cherries which is a classic component (and one of my favorite parts). Filtration system was great. I didn’t smell like smoke. Overpriced cigars and drinks. Maybe it’s the presumed exclusivity that appeals to people. Amending this. Tip was set at 23%. Not cool for terrible service.

Then a guy at the info booth in printers Alley saw that my husband and I were dressed up and couldnt get into the place we wanted as they were at capacity and gave us the number to get in so we walked there, the phone was a little tricky to use as it might have been engaged or something at first, to get it to work pick up the receiver wait for a dial tone then dial. We sat at the bar and the two lovely bartenders were very friendly and entertaining it was cool watching all the smoky old fashioned drinks being made, we had a few cocktails and my husband had a cigar as well, very reasonably priced and a great atmosphere

Find the red phone booth and you have located the coolest place in town. Step back in time to a 1920’s prohibition speakeasy experience with a modern twist. Now the secret phone number is needed to get in so you either need to get it from someone who is a member or track it down from one of the hotel concierges, but it is so worth finding. The ambiance is definitely high class. The ceilings were hand painted allowing the perfect amount of light through to create dimly lit rooms and an intimate experience. The hardwood floors are reclaimed from a Civil War era tobacco barn and the exposed brick walls give that rustic chic feeling throughout. The custom made leather couches are super comfortable and arranged in the European style seating. The artwork on the walls complements the decor and adds to the upscale classy feel.Their master mixologists can recommend a drink or look through the extensive drink menu and find that prescription just for you. Only the freshest ingredients are used in every drink and as Rule #1 states - ‘Try something new, we won’t disappoint.’ I ordered the Floradora and loved it! Definitely try something new as Rule #8 has you covered - ‘If you don’t love your drink let us know and we will prepare one you do!’ Either way the drink menu is creative and offers many classics too.The Red Phone Booth is a cigar lounge too and cigar enthusiasts can enjoy a wide variety of blends. As long as you are at the Red Phone Booth enjoying a few drinks you must order a pizza. This is now my vote for the best Neapolitan style pizza in Nashville, seriously! They also offer small plates and the food is just as delicious and fresh as the hand crafted cocktails.Overall a wonderful experience and definitely worth getting the annual membership. As a note if you do get the membership, they have an app that allows you to reserve couch time as a nice perk. The Red Phone Booth is a great place for a date night or an impressive place to bring business clients. There is even a room in the back available to rent for private events.Go check it out!

Visited from Houston for a long weekend and stumbled into the Red Booth; best surprise we experienced in Nashville. I’ve traveled to over 35 countries and would put this place with some really cool bars in London, NY, Mexico City and São Paulo.Great ambiance, delicious food, outstanding drinks and though the cigar offerings were moderate, you could find quality Davidoff, Monte Cristo, etc.The servers were incredibly friendly. There was zero pretentiousness in this place despite the decor that was quite above the rest of what we saw in Nashville. Don’t get me wrong, we really enjoyed Nashville; however most bars were standard shorts and t-shirt crowd and red Booth was just a higher caliber feel all around. We’re planning to returning to Nashville in the fall and bring some friends. We’ll certainly visit the red Booth.

Experience, memories, and enjoying life is why I visited with my daughter and boyfriend. I traveled from Vermont to visit for a special occasion to celebrate, which is why we ventured in. Upon arrival being my age I was quite encouraged with picking up the very cool pay phone in the booth which I have not experienced since a young girl. Excitedly, the wall opened to a woman inviting us in, dressed very casually we were invited in and seated. A few moments later we had been informed that my daughters boyfriend needed to wear a sport coat they supplied because that was dress code, unfortunately we were not originally informed of the code upon entering. The manager came and in very sarcastic tone enforced him to wear the jacket even amidst COVID, though others had worn the coat before him. We proceeded with a drink, and then I was presented with the bill which the host/server left an automatic 21% tip on. I questioned her about it and she quickly let me know that I could adjust the tip, though that clearly wasn’t her original motive. I wouldn’t go back given the service, hospitality, and amount of money spent.

Not the best experience. I brought my boyfriend and mother who very much fit the recommended persona per the concept. We were excited to find the dial-in booth and friendly hostess, but the experience quickly turned sour. My boyfriend was in a Levi Jacket and Dockers, but this wasn’t up to dress code. He was asked by a lady (apart from the one who sat us, though you’re not supposed to be seated against dress code) to put a sports coat on, as per the code, and we were told that ‘it’s possible that the coat has been worn by someone before you in between washes, if it’s a busy day’. The manager also came out and snarkily told him to wear a “house provided sport coat” despite Covid-19 concerns. The manager was inconsiderate of the pandemic concerns, regardless of the ‘Upscale European Vibe’; even Europe takes the pandemic seriously. Our smokey and high end Old Fashioned’s were mediocre, lacking flavor and expertise, given a $60 bill. Even for well-traveled people, this ‘cool, classy’ bar instead takes on a haughty attitude, so I wouldn’t recommend going if this isn’t your scene.

Upon entering I was rudely told to remove my flat bill cap because it’s “part of their dress code that no hats are allowed.” However there were plenty of other people there wearing fedoras and knit hats. The bias was clear. This is just another establishment with a racist dress code trying to dissuade anything that looks “urban.” The concept might look cool from the outside but once you enter it’s clear that this establishment represents the worst side of the city. Just another SoBro tourist trap that we could gladly do without. I will certainly never return and instead would encourage those seeking a more inclusive and much cooler speakeasy experience to patronize The Fox Bar in East Nashville.

Went to this bar at the suggestion of a friend and it was a cool enough experience but just so, so expensive. And thats fine, I admit I should have looked up the prices before we went as I just mistook it for just another downtown Nashville bar. Once in a while an expensive treat is fine. But what turned me off was the rules in the front of the menu book that said something like, Yes, our drinks are expensive. If you want cheaper drinks, to to Sizzler. (Happy to amend that if anyone has a pic, but that was the gist) Okay, Ive got some money to spend, I even bought my two friends tab. But I felt like that was a bit on the snarky side for hospitality when youre asking someone to pay $13 for a mid-quality vodka. Just rubbed me the wrong way. I wouldnt go back even if invited.
