Look bottom line your drink was good but the menu said $6.25 for an iced Honey Lavender latte and “the button” kept ringing it up for $7.5. I asked your boy about it because your menu price should honored and he initially tried to say it’s the pat milk charge but it was desperate $1 under it then he played with the register for a min or two and said “unfortunately the price can’t be changed” even though I pointed it out and questioned it.My feedback is 1. The drink price listed on YOUR menu, the paper one there, should have been honored 2. Update your tangible menu!
Wow fantastic breakfast options and all types of coffees, espressos, lattes, etc. Loved the hipster ish vibe and dug the vinyl record player. Just a place that does a small but cool menu really damn well.
Fantastic place. Wonderful mid-20th century ambience. A bit imbued with that hipster vibe combined with a hole in the wall aesthetic. The vegan breakfast sandwich is a homerun with my taste buds. Make sure to get it with the everything bagel. The maple syrup is light and the sweetness offset bu the tender argula. The vegan egg patty is folded well and suave. The vegan chorizo is seared and prepared well. The bagel is perfectly toasted for that seductive crunch with every bite. Definitely worth coming back for. The staff is polite and friendly. Make sure to leave a tip!
Ive been going to Barista Parlor for years. In the past, some Baristas have often come off as rude coffee elitists. It has felt intimidating to even look at the menu, let alone ask a question.Lately, I feel this has changed. Everyone has been so friendly. What has not changed are the drinks- they are and have always outstanding. I dont hesitate to come here or bring people either.
As covid recedes, this place becomes a cool option to get some work done. Great coffee and friendly staff. Street parking is better if staying for awhile, as park happy does ticket if past your allotted time.
Great atmosphere. I met here for with a colleague and found it a great space for a meeting (although the music was a little loud). The pour over coffee was fantastic. (Just FYI no juice, soda, etc if you are not a huge coffee drinker but they do have flavored club soda and kombucha)
Visited this spot last Sunday around 10am. There were open tables and no line at the time we showed up but it quickly filled up and a good sized line formed. A bit hipstery for me, but the people were nice. The vanilla latte was pretty good but not great. It tasted more like warm vanilla milk than espresso. BUT the biscuits were phenomenal. Not only were they HUGE but they were delicious... buttery but not too buttery, moist but still flaky. Perfect with the jam. Would return for the biscuits.
Cool place to have coffee...a great donut too.
Service was super friendly and fast. Tea was delicious. Atmosphere was cozy
Great coffee and good food. My wife loves the biscuit and the burrito was great. The espresso + milk was the best part of my morning and the space was so relaxed and inviting. The only downside was the time it took for the food to get finished, but the wait was worth it... So... It was a fair trade. Next time we are in Nashville we will stop in!
Today, the place seemed more quite that usual. The coffee was ok, I got a golden sound, but they were out of the coffee I really wanted. My wife got a Bourbon Ice Coffee and thought it was really good. So I would say it was a 50/50 split on the visit today. We will try again, even though it was not really a good value in my opinion.
I had a great experience here. If I’m honest, I tend to stray away from the original Barista Parlor because I’ve never really felt cool enough to be there. Glad to say that it was not the same experience at the Germantown location. There’s a great vibe here, the coffee is wonderful and everyone that was working here were great. I’ll definitely be coming back. The only things I’d note if you’re not familiar with BP are that it’s neither the cheapest nor the fastest coffee shop in town so bear that in mind if you’re in a rush. Its worth the wait if you’ve got the time though.
If you want the best coffee and service in Nashville, go here! Cant go wrong with a Golden Sound drip coffee or one of their amazing seasonal options. The staff is super friendly and attentive. I dont know what they are paid, but they all need a raise!
Great food and beer, definitely worth checking out.
Delicious espresso and not too crowded!
Fantastic spot to grab a cup of coffee and hipster watch. My rating is not a 5 out of 5 due to a gap in perfection of the food and the wait time for one of our beverages. Barista Parlour is also a great spot to pick up artisanal chocolate if you are into that type of thing (like my wife).Ambiance: 5 out of 5Decor: 5 out of 5Food: 4 out of 5Beverages 5 out of 5
Great local coffee shop - but always crowded! I do love the ability to order online and pick up in store, as it allows me to bypass the crowds during COVID! Only wish they had more iced coffee options!
Serene, bright, and airy space with retro/industrial decor that serves tasty pastries and breakfast sandwiches, and (Im told) top of the line coffee. I can only stand coffee with copious amounts of honey and nut milk. I really just come for the ambiance (and pastries). Hipster baristas are super nice too, not snobby coffee types but very welcoming and chill.
I dont get the hype. Over priced. Limited selection of barely slightly above average coffee. If you dont drink your beverages super sugary or black youre probably out of luck here. Expensive coffee for hipsters?
Well Talk about service. Being a construction worker you would think that they would understand coming off a job site you don’t have a mask. Everyone in the building out side of workers are mask free playing on computers and such but won’t let you ordered without a mask even being over six feet away. No where else has had a problem what a joke of a company. Atleast be nice about it and not rude. P.S. if they want me or anyone else to wear a mask they should have mask at the door for people plenty of other places do.
Great place! Loved the vibe and staff were great. If you want a well made coffee this is the place!
Best coffee in Nashville. Slowest wifi in Nashville. Life is just a set of tradeoffs.
Im figure Id better start by telling you Im just a plain ol country boy. I managed to wander in here looking for something to quench my raging thirst. It looked pretty cool, all open and airy. Everybody was real helpful like. Even though they had funny hairdos. I tried to read the menu, but gave up because I couldnt tell what was what. Where I come from, coffee is called coffee and you just pick cream or sugar. Well, I gave up and got some iced tea. Little did I know that this here tea isnt the tea like my granny fixes. Theres aint no sugar in it. No syrupy sweet goodness that will make your teeth fall out and give you the diabeetus. That was my mistake though. I probably should have told them. So, if you like special named coffees and can speak city language, I reckon this is a nice spot. I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 because Preacher says nobody but Jesus is perfect. Roll Tide.
Coronavirus seating restrictions required I sit at the sidewalk window. The suns position made it difficult to see & work on my laptop. Drip coffee provided the needed caffeine & once the sun moved on they closed. The temperature permitted opening the garage doors on the backside making the entire space pleasant. Service was prompt & friendly.
Cool venue, great coffee!
The coffee a 5-star, food 5-star and the atmosphere at the time 1-star and repugnant. Completely white staff, no problem with that, but listening to rap music, singing to themselves lyrics with multiple uses of the N word and the B word at 10:30a. This was our vacation, relaxing breakfast coffee. Instead we were assaulted with the profane degradation of the black community and women. I would love to go back and will do so when they make a commitment to not use degrading music to humans & women.... Great coffee though.
Great coffe, nice vibe.Pandemic take some of the charm out, but still a nice place to have a john.
Adore this place! Excellent service and fantastic location and incredible store!
Great customer service! Also I love the set up of this coffee shop. Great creative atmosphere. Loved the background music.
The staff is so pretentious that they literally glare at anyone who doesn’t know what they want.. not to mention they’re not allowed to put flavors like vanilla in their coffee. A small coffee is $5.50. Pass.
I frequent coffee shops. We travel a lot and we like to try any shop that we can. I love the aesthetic which is why I gave two stars. I ordered a latte and just wasn’t impressed at all. Service was good and all that but the main rating of a coffee shop should come from its coffee.
My friend and I stopped in here for a coffee treat. We were a bit skeptical, afraid it was going to be another overpriced coffee place. Im so happy to say we were pleasantly surprised!!!! This is hands down the tastiest coffee I have ever had. Its clear the baristas take the brewing process very seriously to yield the highest flavor thresholds. The iced coffee my friend had was DELICIOUS without anything added. Same for my pour over. This is not coffee you feel the need to doctor. We also picked up a chocolate croissant which blew our minds. If you havent been here, go! The ambiance alone is so warm and inviting. Great place for small meetings or just a nice treat!
The go to spot for high end hipster coffee
Space kept clean with ample spacing for customers
Very great environment. The more often I go the more comfortable I feel
Missing 99% of my order. Someone’s not doing their job.
Cute spot with great coffee!
We only had time for a quick stop on the way out of town and we are so glad we did. Bright, open space with large doors that open to the outside. Great vibe and friendly faces. And the coffee! So rich and flavorful. Neat part of town as well. Well seek it out again when were back in town.
Whatever you think of the coffee (I think it is great) or the service (I find it moody and aloof), I must give five stars for the new pastries. Yesterday, I had their new croissant. It was every bit equal to the best Ive had in France and Denmark. To live for! Now that Ive given five stars to the pastry, let me comment on the service. Having baristas deal with customers is like dragging software programmers out from under their rocks and expecting them to do tech support. It is a mess. So, lower your service expectations, and focus on the pastry. Did I mention it is to live for?Follow-up: Okay, not everyone there is moody and aloof (as recent visits prove).
I do not know why it is so hard to add 1 shot. We pull doubles...great, pour half of it out. It was recommended to me that I can order an 8oz if I wanted it stronger. My math tells me that if I wanted a 12oz as strong as their 8oz, an extra shot would do the trick. Crazy, I know...Crema will do it, gladly.
Yes they are coffee snobs... Yes its that good. I can overlook it.
My favorite Barista Parlor in Nashville. I hate telling others because there has been plenty of space for meetings and individual work. Plenty of outlets for computer work around the walls. Great coffee, recommend the biscuit, eggs, bacon, and cheese. Lots of natural light and have always found a place to park behind the building.
New and different types of coffee and drinks.
This is the second time Ive ordered a drink in the past couple months. Both times, I ordered the coffee soda ($5.50 before tax), and both times my drink was less than full. I let it go the first time without saying anything, but this time I requested they fill it to the top. The guy gave some excuse that its pre-measured and that they couldnt add more. Alrighty.
Mediocre overpriced coffee. They charge extra for every little thing including honey.
I asked for a decaf mocha but they didnt have it so I got a collaboration of stuff in a cup and it tasted like water
Great coffee, great location, great atmosphere! Try out the coffee soda!!
We felt like we walked into a sixties cool vibe place. All organic fantastic egg sandwiches a d coffee, well I am not one that usually posts her food on FB, but I shamelessly admit I posted a picture of a nicely prepared and quite delicious latte. Go for it!
Good coffee, cool environment. Not impressed with the staff or customer service. Music was played at a volume that made any conversation incredibly difficult. Probably wont be back. Total bummer.
Really overpriced.
Cool spot. Drinks can take a bit - but good coffee comes at a price. Unique combinations too like Mexican soda and coffee.
Great coffee every time!
Coffee was excellent. The special brew that I had really was good, better than I anticipated. Staff was courteous and helpful.
Such an amazing coffee shop. Youll be hard pressed to find a better place for espresso. The place is very open and modern looking with an amazing staff. Spend 5 minutes or spend a work day, you wont regret it.
Great place to sit and do some work. I love how the tables are around the edges of the cafe so you re not distracted by other people’s conversations. If you want to try something new and different, the Vietnamese Lemongrass Coffee was delicious.
Interesting drink options. Plenty of seating. Bright space. Worth trying. I ordered the Vietnamese cold brew, which had cardamom and lemongrass to go along with the coffee and sweetened condensed milk, all topped with a flower.
Barista never fails me. I like this one the most out of all of their locations because it is never super crowded, and I can find parking mostly anytime during the day. It is relatively quiet and the staff is friendly. I havent always had the same experience at the East or Gulch locations. Thanks for being friendly and good in Gtown!! Would love to see more gluten free options on the yummy breakfast menu!!
