I chose Smokey Mountain Tops after considering lower priced fabricators in Nashville because I wanted the job done right for my kitchen remodel. I was willing to pay a premium since I felt the counters would be the centerpiece of my kitchen. I selected Taj Mahal quartzite counters with a total cost of thousands of dollars. My overall experience with SMT has been a headache. When the counters were installed, I immediately noticed some issues. First, my island was supposed to have square corners, but they were round. Second, there were at least 4 chips around the edges. Additionally, the stone was cut incorrectly on the side of the gas range, so it was not straight and there was a significant gap between the range and the counter. Also, the installer said there might be a hairline fracture next to my sink. Argh! After multiple calls and emails they have addressed these issues for the most part. They agreed it was their mistake on the round corners, so they gave me a credit off my bill, after I insisted. They returned to fix the chips with silicon fill and to recut/adjust the piece by the range. The chips dont look great, but at least they are on the edges. They said it actually wasnt a hairline fracture, so the sink was okay. Now, a few months later, there is another chip right in the middle on the edge of my sink and they want $250-$300 to come back out and fill. So, I have a brand new kitchen with chipped counters. For their price level, I am disappointed with the overall experience - there have been way too many problems and it has been a lot of aggravation.

We worked with Smokey Mountain Tops for a quartz countertop installation. While things in a remodel never go exactly as planned, SMT was definitely one of our largest issues.Our sink cut out was done incorrectly (despite having the sink in the shop?) and there was a decent chip in that same piece, although they didnt say anything about either and proceeded to install. An eat-in counter top was cut incorrectly, and two additional pieces on either side of the range were installed off-center. Ultimately, 5 out of our 8 counters had issues and had to be either re-made or removed and re-installed. Some cabinet damage occurred when they tore out the pieces needing replacing, although SMT did offer to diverge from their typical policy of not covering cabinet damage to cover ours.In terms of customer service, they (mostly) worked hard to set it right at no cost to us. But I did find myself having to push for additional steps that I think should have been standard in such a situation -- asking for their best install crew and a project manager to be on site for the second install, both of which they ultimately delivered on after my pushing. Several of my calls to the installation scheduler went unanswered and updates werent always provided as promised. And it set our kitchen progress back while we waited for the tear-out and for the new pieces to be ordered, cut, and installed.

The three installation men who came to my house were so polite and professional. After introducing themselves to me they set in on the job and got it all done quickly efficiently and cleaned up after themselves actually more than necessary. We just finished working with Smokey Mountain Tops on the replacement of our countertops. They were a joy to work with, efficient, courteous and were able to install on schedule. The installation crew was professional, courteous and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great company to work with on quartz projects.

Smokey Mountain tops supplied the majority of granite used in our new house. I paid them several thousands of dollars. We moved into the house in April of 2018. Not long after we moved in I noticed that caulk was missing between the granite and cabinet in our pantry and the granite and our refrigerator. I called Smokey Mountain and asked them if they could come and finish the caulk job. They replied that it had been too long and they would have to charge me a service job to do that. When I responded that all I wanted them to do was finish their job, their manager did offer a tube of caulk for me or my contractor to pick up so we could finish the job. I did pick up the caulk but when I tried to use it, it was faulty and leaked all over the place. From the customers (me) point of view, all I wanted was for them to complete their job. After all the money my wife and I spent with them, I thought they should do that.

From start to the finished product and installed, the experience was wonderful!!! The employees are extremely easy to work with and the product, Cambria Quarts counter tops are excellent with detail and easy to clean. I would recommend to anyone, especially the people that prefer granite counter tops. The upkeep is unbelievably easy!!

We worked with Smoky Mountain Tops for new custom Granite/Quartz countertops. (Krystal Romo is amazing!) Not only was SMT able to work with a supplier(OHM) I was already familiar with, they negotiated the best price possible for us on a very expensive grade of slabs. The installers were excellent, fast, professional, excellent quality. I had many changes throughout the job up until we actually went into fab and Krystal never once made me feel like I was bothersome. I had many questions about what to expect from this kind of material after install and they answered them all. I would encourage anyone to use SMT for all of their custom counter top and natural material (Marble,Quartz,Granite) needs.

Horrible installation and poor communication regarding process. Installers returned to address issues and failed to correct issues. Granite was suppose to be already sealed and 1/2 was not. Now after attempting to seal it with 2 different products, bathroom granite is ruined and will need to be replaced after only 10 months.

We wanted to do a little refresh of our older kitchen and I had my heart set on quartz countertops. After doing a little research online for local distributors, I knew Smokey Mountain Tops had the exact brand and color of quartz countertop I was wanting. From the first email, SMT was incredibly attentive and always proactive. The staff, Erin and Chad, took such great care of us and I would highly recommend them to anyone! Template process and install was seamless and perfect. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I honestly couldnt be happier with my new countertops as well as the entire process.

I had one of the worst customer service experiences with Casey Walsh, of Smokey Mountain Tops. Sadly, this is the first bad review I have ever written. I was needing to have a couple of remnants made that were going to be put into a table, so it was important for them to be sized correctly and to sit flush once placed into a table. I brought in samples and even left them at SMT once I placed my order, so they would be on hand to assist with the exact size I was needing. I initially met and worked with Leah Wilson, a SMT Interior Designer and we discussed what the pieces were being used for, she then helped me select the material and was very helpful, nice and pleasant to deal with. However, when I went to pick up the finished product 2 weeks later I noticed immediately that the pieces were not sized properly and were considerably thicker and off by almost a 1/2 inch. When I brought it to Caseys attention pointing out the difference in sizes, he was embarrassingly rude, condescending, unapologetic, and had no interest in rectifying. I understand that mistakes and miscommunication can and do happen, I was willing to wait and figure out how we can correct, with the end goal of having the issue fixed, and me leaving as a happy customer. If a small issue cant be fixed or dealt with in a kind, respectful and professional manner then I would hate to see what happens on a more complex job.
