I needed two replacement screens for windows that were built in 1987. I dropped off my original on Tuesday, and got a phone call Wednesday that they were ready to pick up. The best part is they match perfectly. Customer service was great too .. professional and courteous. I will definitely use them for future needs!
Courteous efficient work at a great value. Thats hard to find these days. Waited for Harts Hardware to do this work for 2 weeks. They never even started it. So Mid State Door and Window did the work in 2 days. Thank goodness I dont have to put up with Harts Hardware anymore. Thank you, Mid State Door and Window! Im a new customer for life.
Today I met Bill. Hes friendly, professional, and and knowledgeable. He has has 26 years of experience. I couldnt have found a better person to have done our installation. The office needs to give him an awesome raise and Christmas bonus. On the contrary, there was some type of miscommunication concerning our order and only 1 complete window was brought out. Both windows were marked. I trust that everything will appropriately taken care of. UPDATE: the 2nd window is in. Everything looks wonderful, and be sure to take care of Bill with a raise and Christmas bonus. Hes the BEST!

If you dont do repairs, maybe you shouldnt advertise on your web site that you DO repairs? Crazy idea I know. Its not like somebody would see that big Repairs section of your web site and think you actually provided that service.

Man, I hate to write negative reviews but tired of silently voting with my dollar this year. Front of house staff (saleswoman, receptionist, Im not sure) did not put on mask when taking my order.Also not really helpful, didnt really volunteer much information or advice, kinda reminds me of me during a really bad day or an uncooperative witness for the defense during a trial. I learned a lot more on how to properly measure the window casement after I went home and watched a YouTube video. Also learned a lot more about some of the weird window casements after searching on the internet. Anyways, ended up going with a different company.Anyways, please wear a mask. Dont make customers ask. Its getting better but vaccination rates locally are low and numbers have not been going down over the last two weeks despite 1/4 of people getting protection. Sure, a bunch of contractors arent wearing them I bet. Sure when no ones in the store, whatever. But getting casual about this is the best aide we could give the virus during this opportunity we have to get it under control.

Very dissatisfied with this place despite the recommendation from a trusted source. Firstly, the woman at the front desk was incredibly rude. I was having the rollers for a screen door replaced upon her recommendation that the old ones were the cause of the door continually coming off the track. I paid the quoted cost before the repair done and was told Id get the call when it was fixed and ready to be picked up--I never got the call. Over 2 weeks later I showed up and the repair has been done and I was told I had to pay an additional fee making it twice the original cost. I had no choice but to pay it if I wanted the door back. I took the door home only to find its still not working. It seems the rollers didnt need to be replaced after all. Anyway, my particular experience was not good at all and I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone I know. Id take my complaint back to them but the woman at the front desk was so rude the first time, I seriously doubt she will be any different. Too bad. Im a very loyal and forgiving customer when Im treated like my business matters.
I can only describe my experience; we replaced jam liners on 22 windows that wouldnt stay open (springs disconnected). These folks are SOLID!! Rick (owner) and Wayne (sales) went the extra mile on my behalf when the manufacturer did not deliver in a timely manner. Delivery and installation once parts were in; top notch and personable. Theyll be my first call if/when theres a next-time!*read about us on their website...its true!
I agree with the other most recent post. The woman who answers the phone is VERY snotty and rude. I got storm windows from them a few years back and paid A LOT of money for them. I called recently to inquire about repairing one of the windows that had broken, and was quite rudely informed that there was no warranty whatsoever on the windows even though I never asked about a warranty!!! I was simply calling to get a price on repairing the window, but the lady cut me off and totally put me off before I could say anything at all.Additionally, the problem I had with one of the windows probably should have fallen under some kind of warranty but was told it didnt (they use very, very cheap glass). What bothered me more, however, was the way I was told. Instead of offering me some type of a solution, the lady was rude and obnoxious about the whole thing. I ended up hanging up and going with another company. I wouldnt call them again for anything. In fact, if they were the only window and door company in Nashville, Id go with an out-of-town company and pay more money just to avoid these idiots. This company is useless, and the lady that answers the phone is clueless. She should get another job, because she obviously doesnt like the one she has now.
I used these guys about 2 years ago. Great service, nice guys, and a very good price on replacing one window and fixing a couple of others. Im about to have another pane replaced (likely by them again), and I just now realized I didnt review them after their first time out to my house.
Mid-State Door & Windows sells exquisite door products, and they are high-quality in almost every respect--except one: customer service. I wanted to purchase a Provia storm door from Mid-State, but salesperson Marshas rude attitude convinced me to buy the door elsewhere. I called on Friday (8/31/18) and asked if the installer could come out the following Tuesday (9/4) to measure the door. She said I would have to wait four (4) days for a call-back. I asked if she would please call him on his cell phone (on Friday) to see if he might have a Tuesday opening, but she refused. When I asked if she were the owner, she said no and her attitude became surly. I thanked her and hung up. But when I called back for the owners email, she played the victim, claiming I hung up on her. I asked her if the Owner (Rick Hudson) knows that she speaks rudely to customers, and things just got worse. The bottom line? I dont blame Owner Rick Hudson for rude service (unless he defends Marsha in a response to this review), but I planned to spend at least $1,000. What have I learned from Marsha at Mid-State Door & Window? The customer is always wrong, at least if you get on Marshas wrong side. :(
Left our house and yard in terrible condition. They installed a door and I later went outside to find they left all the wood scraps, nails, screws, and staples spread all over the patio. They smeared white caulk on our brown stone stairs and allowed it to dry on there. Unless you want your patio and stairs left trashed, stained and possibly a tetanus shot from stepping on nails and screws Id use another company.
Something has obviously happened with this company since the earlier reviews. I have two large windows on either side of my fireplace with broken springs. I am trying to get my home ready to put on the market. Over six weeks ago, I took the broken spring into the shop and they said they would have their repairman come out and he would call me. Two weeks later, I called....they said they would notify him. Another two weeks passed and no call. I called them back and they said he would call, and when I reminded her that six weeks had passed with not even a call to set up an appointment, the woman at the desk got snotty. So, here I am nearly TWO MONTHS out from first going into their store.......their customer service sucks. Cant say anything about the rest because they have not done any work. If I could give them zero stars and still post, I would.
