What wonderful place to get your meat at but thats it though. Everything else at another store but great meat store!

Anthony is great. He bags my groceries and always helps me. He remembers me and knows if I have forgotten anything..like my 10 lb. Bag of ice. He is extremely nice and I would give him 5 stars alone.

I absolutely love this place! Small hometown mom and pop shop with a southern charm and an absolutely AMAZING meat department. Possibly the best Ive ever seen.My ONLY complaint about this place......most of the young cashiers and baggers need a lesson on engaging their customers. It is a very common occurrence to see them totally ignore you after a casual hey, how are you and carry on a conversation with their friends/fellow coworkers about the party or sports event they went to the night before. Sometimes one or two of them wont even make eye contact with you and as a result, I end up needing to wait until they finally realize they need to press the button to finish the transaction.This needs some work. Please kids! Youre ALL nice kids. Thats not my problem. You just need to learn that your customer deserves your undivided attention when. they are in front of you. The conversation with your friends needs to stop, and then resume when the register is clear again.

We love Comptons! The staff are all so friendly and helpful. You wont find a better meat department anywhere! My family wont eat meat from anywhere else!

Always got what I’m looking for but their already cooked food could be a little fresher or just discard if it’s past the time/date. Cooked Ribs looked good and juicy but got home seconds later and opened ribs it was hard to pull apart. Like over cooked or out too long. I’ll try again one day.

Good meat and produce department deli small but nice not sure if they still do use to serve a decent meat and 3 also had breakfast at 1 time. Dale is head of meat department he never failed to meet my expectations. Nice staff always courteous.

Comptons foodland is the only grocery store within miles of the lake. Theres a Dollar tree right next door. A gas station Shell, across the street. Compton has reduced prices on Bay Street meals homemade meat and two. One of the managers is always there to greet and answer questions, thats Debbie. Theyre five for $20 meat deals for the beginning of great meals. Its a good place to shop. Smith springs road by the lake.

Comptons is the place to go for a good meat selection. We dont have a Pick 5 meat store in Smyrna but I will drive to Nashville just for that.

This is our local grocer. We really love the convenience and size of this grocery store. They are family owned and KNOWN throughout Nashville for having the BEST meat quality, prices and deals! They have a Pick 5 deal where you can pick five meats for $20 and its always a deal!The prices in comparison to the competition is pretty comparable and similar to Kroger prices.Overall, we are really grateful for this store!

Comptons always has fantastic customer service. It is a convenient local grocery store. The only down side is prices are a bit higher than a chain grocery store, but that is to be expected at a smaller store. I am thankful to have such a great store right around the corner.

Mom/Pop small business with awesome customer assistance

The food prices here are very good, they have rotations where they have select meats on sale. The average product here is cheaper than Wal-Mart shockingly. I removed a star because I wasnt able to find Fig Newton or canned pineapple juice here. (Which are very common items, they could have been out Im not sure.)

Not the cleanliness grocery store.. Ill give a 2 for the sale items..

I love Comptons its the best neighborhood grocery store ever. Even during Covid19 difficult times you could rely on this store to provide something you feed your family. They restricted quantity to give everyone a chance to shop. They provided a specific shopping time for their senior customers to protect them from exposure. Thursday is senior discount day to shop. I could go on but you understandwhat I mean.. Great store to do business with.

Great family run personable service where they remember you and your name, carry out your groceries, and carry great local products like honey, Jams, and WOF! New Creole Blackening is my favorite, 8oz for what others charge for 4oz...and best meat deal-Pick 5 for $19.99 (Also some veggies, sweet potatoes rounds, freezer foods on Pick 5!)

I love this store. It local and serves a small community. The prices are higher than the big chains and the produce is rarely as fresh, but it has foods not available elsewhere. It is small and intimate and yet has enough options to satisfy my needs.I cannot recommend the meats. It may be coincidence but all of the meats i have purchased here were poor quality; either tough or tiny once the water was cooked out.The caveat is that many employees do not take covid-19 and the mask mandate seriously. I do not visit often but when I have been, the rate of employees wearing masks is about 50%. They sometimes put on a mask in response to my glare, but you should understand this store does not take seriously the safety of its customers.

Great place to get food in Antioch. I only usually come in after I go to Dollar Tree which makes it really convenient. Its really clean and lots to choose from no matter what you eat. I just wish prices were better and I would make this my only store to buy from.

This is right by my house so I frequent it often. A little pricey but for a Mom and Pop store I like the atmosphere of it. Reason for 4 stars...some of the younger cashiers need to be friendlier and stay off their phones when checking someone out.

Comptons is the place to go for pick5s and pastries! They never disappoint! Their pick 5 in my opinion has the best meat selection and largest quantity of items available out of all the stores offering pick 5s in Nashville and I know cause Ive shopped them all at some point! The store is ALWAYS clean and well stocked and the staff is always friendly and courteous and ready to help! It has that old school warmth and down home feel to it like grocery stores use to have back in the day where everybody knows you and always has a smile! Its our favorite place to shop! Especially now that theres a brand new Dollar Tree right next door! Comptons is seriously slept on and one of the best mom and pop grocery stores in Nashville!

I’ve been coming here since I was a lil boy, fixing to be 21 soon and I’m still a loyal shopper and so is my mom. Just a nice lil grocery store that’s in the neighborhood. Great deal on meats and a pretty good selection of other things as well. Yes, some things are up there in price a little bit but I for one would rather go here than Wal mart and Kroger’s because I like supporting small businesses. Staff is always Friendly, the store is clean, and overall just a great mom and pops grocery store (:

This store was nice and clean. I went there because I was told about their meat selection and I was not disappointed. It reminded me of the local meat market from back home where you could actually talk to the Butcher. They a 5 for $19.99 that is amazing. I plan on making this a stop in my travels going forward.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. A great place to buy your meats. But my favorite part of this store is the old time neighborhood store feeling. Theres nothing like going into a place and feel like youre part of a family.

This place is a throwback local grocery store. That means higher prices than kroger and other big chains, but a mom and pop atmosphere. Meaning thick grocery bags, local made product displays, no self checkout, old school credit card reader software, high school employees, weird lighting, limited selection. Convenient location for stopping on the way to the lake beach and picnic areas - just about the only thing ever on sale here is meat, if youre planning on grilling. Dollar store next store, to pick up stuff like trash bags and detergent for way cheaper. Theres a huge kroger a couple of miles from here at nashboro village, but I still stop here because its closer to home and makes me happy to be a customer.

The service and store is cool and all but some of the employees (the bagging crew) and manager (Mike especially, the old guy who hangs out near the produce section) are not wearing masks correctly, often with their noses hanging out. You might as well be giving everyone the virus like that. Shame on you.

I love love love this store. I love this store so much I literally travel from North Nashville to Comptons. I go for the freshness of the meat and the reasonable prices. The only place I have been where I do not complain about how high the meat products are. Very friendly staff, most staff recognizes me when I come in and that makes me feel they are paying attention and they care about there customers. As long as this store is open I will give them my business.

The service was excellent and the meats are the best around. You cant beat the prices either. I got two weeks worth of meats for less than 100 dollars. I love this store.

Comptons is cool. A little pricey but they have a pick 5 for 19.99. The deserts are great and the deli is great. Its an older store but its pretty clean.

Its easily the best meat supplier in the area. Because we dont have a butcher shop this is as close as we can get. It is my go to destination when. Preparing for a cookout.The groceries themselves are higher than the chain grocers, but the meat quality is second to none.

Awesome small grocery story with great focus on service. They care about the community and their customers. Always very friendly and helpful. I have visited several times and employees always go out of the way to help out customers, you never wait in line to checkout, and one employee even carried my groceries out to the car for me (I have NEVER had anyone even offer to carry groceries). Great for quick grocery runs due to its convenient location. More expensive than Wal-Mart, but more conveniently located for me.Annual Easter egg hunt is a blast for the kids ... Be sure to check out their amazing doughnuts and cookies. Great grocery pick up and ordering service as well!

We love this small family store! The renovations look great. The meat is always so fresh. And I love that day will cut your meat I slice it however youd like. You can look through the meat department because it has glass windows. They are not trying to hide anything :)

I was in today and assistant store manager was sarcastic and rude to me because I wanted someone to wait on me in aisle. Previous person left me standing there. If store manager had not pushed my buttons with her responses I would not have acted out myself. I did not handle it well .But you cannot follow me out of the store being rude and not expect a response. 18 years I have shopped there on and off. Now if this is not resolved I wont return.
