Cafe is not open!Employee was friendly. They stock a large selection of grains and spice.I visited this establishment for one reason only, to try Nepalese food.I drove 20 minutes out of my way only to find out the cafe part of this business was not open/operating.I was disappointed and upset that i wasted my time.Business is not visible from the road.It is in a strip center between a storefront church and an auto repair facilityPlenty of parking but not convenient. If i ever get out this side of TN again i will visit this business again and edit my reviewI gave it two stars becauseThey do have ethnic items that are not stocked in local grocery stores.Sites were not updated indicating cafe closure.Business is not visible from road. The entire strip center feels like a scene from a scary movie.
I usually enjoy these little markets that will feed you and this place did not disappoint. I had their version of dumplings and they were very tasty. Cant wait to go back.
I love the daal, rice meal with goat meat curry.
The cafe was very secluded in the rear of the grocery. This was my first introduction to the food of Nepal. The spices were very favorable and not hot. I had a chicken moto. The dumplings were delicious. The service was very friendly. I will go again when I want some exotic food.
Really helpful staff and authentic Nepali goods.
Great food cooked to order. I hope they get enough business to expand their hours. Id you want authentic Nepali food, go here. Youll love it!
I love my experience eating here. Its a market but if you walk towards the back there is a cute cafe in there. The food was fantastic and the guy that served me was super cool and served us well. Despite some of the bad reviews, it didnt stop me from coming. There are barely Nepali restaurants here. Worth it!
Just had lunch there with a couple of friends. The food was terrific! Highly recommend!
Visited today, and was blown away! Really fantastic food. Had the non-veg thali, chicken momo and some potato filled flat bread. Everything is made to order, so it took a little while, but the wait was definitely worth it. I’m surprised there’s not a line out the door for the cafe. Will definitely be coming back!
Everything was wonderful. I very much enjoyed my meal from here. It’s a must try!
The people were very nice and the place was clean however, the reviews were sort of misleading. We were disappointed with the quality of food. It sort of lacked flavour. I think they can do much better. Weve had better Nepalese food. I hope you take this as constructive criticism.
One of the best place to try Nepalese Food. I wish they could open more franchise all over USA.
One of the best Thali I have ever had, authentic Nepali cooking. And, chicken biryani was very delicious, Momo comes with chutney and soup on side, soup tasted amazing. I would recommend this place at least once if you are in Nashville.
Homely foods. Nice staffs. Worth every penny. Love to come back again...
Small dining area but great food. Staff are great, giving quick service and very courteous.
I am from Nepal and been in USA for 6 years and never had so delicious food in anywhere. It reminds me of my home back in Nepal. Will be back again and highly recommend for everyone to try at least once..
Authentic Nepali taste. Well, time they take to prepare is quite long but it is worth waiting.
This cafe was a good find! Super tasty with decent vegan options. The Veg Manchurian is great.
Not Nepali authentic test way too much venigar they add in there food .. waste our money
I had the veg thali. Flavors were earthy and understated. Truly sublime. Will return again next week. I cannot praise it enough.
Food was delicious and the serving sizes are more than generous. The staff was very friendly and helpful in ordering.
Awesome food And fantastic service. Authentic nepali dish. Better than what i had in New York. Please Give it a try.
Visited this place and ordered a non veg thali. Along with their courteous attitude, you get a plate loaded with subtle flavors. I would definitely recommend this place.
A delightful mixture of Chinese and Indian. Get the Momo! There are only 8 seats. Not tables ... SEATS! Dont go with a large group
Great service, delicious food! Very freshly made. We will be back!
This our new favorite restaurant in Nashville! Every dish has been delicious and full of flavor! They use fresh ingredients and everything is made to order. My favorites are the momo, masala tea, and chow mein. Please make sure you give this place a try!!! (My husband and I go at least once a week.) Also, there are a nice assortment of teas in the grocery!
The cafe is cozy and has a fairly extensive menu of Nepalese items. The momos are very good. The chicken chow mein can be ordered mild, medium, or hot. We ordered medium, but it was way too hot for me (grew up in Pennsylvania) or my wife (grew up in India).
Awesome Indian-Nepali food. Special place for momos.
This is a hidden gem of the Himalayas, must visit if you love indian/Nepali food!
Had chatpat and it was good! Ordered some momo and chowmein they were packed really nicely and tastes great too! Great service and staff and food!
Best hidden secret in Nashville. Authentic, home-cooked Nepalese dishes.
Ordered the chicken chili - think of it as a fajita with tandoori chicken and other Nepalese spices. Was absolutely delicious.
Drove down from Memphis to try some authentic Nepali cuisine. Went on Sunday for lunch. The cafe is at the back of the grocery store and very limited in space. Ambiance does not exist but if asked to define it - perhaps cozy. Service was good. Not great because there was only one waitstaff and he was perhaps also the kitchen and store help. No complaints though. Food took longer than anticipated but daaaammmnnn....We got chicken momos (dumplings) and a non-veg thali. The momos were all right - I have had some a little better and some a heck of a lot worse. But the non-veg thali - outta this world. Fresh mustard greens, fried okra, daal, and chicken curry. Wowza. Loved it. Very authentic Nepali food - cut and cooked while you wait (hence the slightly longer wait times). Will definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommended. Please note - this is real Nepali food. Not the type youll get in some Indo-Nepali restaurant called Himalayan or Shangri-la (not that there is anything wrong with those). The only other Nepali food I have eaten as good as this place here is in a restaurant in Columbia, MD (Curry and Kabob) and back home in Nepal.
No taste at all. Been there 3 times expecting food to be better but everytime I am disappointed. Never going there again!!
Groceries section is ok, you could easily find Indian or Nepali food items, sweets and utensils. Restaurant however is just Ok, nowhere close to original taste.
Best nepali food in town ...
Taste is very good. Reason for 4 is bcoz veg momo taste is very bad felt it is old and not freshly cooked. nd prefer not to try it next time more. They make sure what ever we order is worth the money with additional food with the main order .
I was there today. They took 50 minutes to bring our order on our lunch our. No apologies of any sort! I will never set foot in this place. The food was greasy as it could be. What a waste of time and money!
Food is great but very slow service
I love this place! I would say its one of my overall favorites in Tennessee. My go-to dishes are the chicken momos and the chili chicken. (Yes. I like chicken). And dont forget the Masala TeaChicken momos are a must-have. They are similar to chinese xiaolongbao, but these have garam masala and come with two dipping sauces. They are super tasty! I usually like to mix the dipping sauces together.
Its food is horrible, waste of time and money. I will never go there again. Never been so frustrated with any restaurant food. There was no salt in momo, noodles was like made from plastic, I couldn’t chew and chicken chholaya was way beyond bad 😔totally disappointment ☹️
The thali was very good, but I have to give two stars because the Momo was terrible, and most of my party ordered Momo.
Very kind staff. Authentic taste guaranteed!
As an ex-pat living in Nepal for several months I fell in love with their local cuisine. Since returing to the United States I have been looking everywhere to find authentic nepali food, and so far this is the only place I know of in the South that is absolutely doing it right. It is one of the best hidden gems in Nashville. When you first walk in you will think its just a grocery store, but keep on walking and you will find a small seating area with a friendly Nepali staff to welcome you.I suggest ordering any type of the famous MoMos. They are a good price for America, and one plate with 12 momos is plenty to fill you up. After you finish your momos order a cup of masala tea and relax. The staff is friendly, so talk to them and ask plenty of questions about Nepal.
Affordable price!!! Good communication with customers.
Neat and clean, foods were WOWW!! definitely visit regularly!!
Good store, interesting foods!
Not so good except for lo mein.
Excellent food and friendly service.
Amazing food, quantity is amazing, good food options.
Authentic Nepali food ! The servers are very kind and the grocery store also has plenty of common Nepali and Indian grocery items.
Delicious! Stopped in on a whim, so glad it did
I came all the way from New York and searched Nepali resturant . But we are not satisfied with the service and food quality is really bad !! We disappointed
Disappointed!Wish I can get my money back
Very nice restaurant!
Wait time is soo long
Good food
