A huge upgrade from their old store. Large single building, with enough parking, electric car charging station. Carts are maintained cleanly, store has lot of products, it is a single stop for anything Indian items you have it in mind like vessels, masala, spices etc., clean restrooms and their vegetable section is not more collection and not maintained much fresh. I appreciate the space given for a shopping, there in house dining place is vegetarian . There is not much items when we were there but I believe they may have samosa, chats etc.,. The staffs are not so welcoming or friendly, felt like they don’t bother you are there for shopping and you are a customer. I understand doing it for a whole day is touch but even an eye contact is not there. As such you are worried about product and not bothered about experience, this is for you. Pricing is normal . Will recommend this store for anyone who wants to have a good Indian grocery
Has all the Indian groceries you can ever need. Shelves are almost always well stocked. If you can’t find anything, one of the employees will surely help out. We visit the store every other week. They also have a new food outlet at the far end which has fresh samosas and other snacks. Love it!
Its an amazing place. When ever I go there I feel like I am somewhere in india. It fulfill all my cravings of Indian food. every thing is too good.
Honestly a huge upgrade from their old building. This has better parking, and allows for more people to be inside the building without causing issues. One gem is their prepared foods station, which has a ton of snacks and treats made on site to enjoy. They are extremely affordable and some of them are extremely delicious. Highly recommend getting anything from here as it is worth it if you make it all the way out here.Their vegetable selection is probably the best in any Indian store in Tennessee hands down. Their dessert section is also amazing (at least a dozen freezers full of desserts).
Compared to the patel Brothers in Hicksville, NY..this one is lacking...but for the Indian community of Nashville, its as good as its gonna get...
The best of the best. I have been going here for well over a decade and it is still a delightfully pleasurable experience shopping here. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Good on you Patel Brothers. Thank you for always doing us right.
Not properly arranged like some of other Patel brother shops. Many important items were out of stock
Incredible selection of Middle Eastern groceries and produce. I found everything I was looking for to make the perfect Indian dish except for the meat. There is no butcher and the meat/seafood is all frozen.
The store is really clean and well organized. When I needed help finding something, a store employee was helpful. They have a great selection and are a really good sized store. They have some Asian and Mexican foods here as well as, of course Indian.
Definitely a step up from their old location. Very clean and even has a wider variety of produce and products available. Definitely my go to place for indian spices and products in nashville.
Good place for some vegetables you cant find elsewhere and anything for making Indian food. Very large selection. Clean store.
Strangest interaction with humans ever. I have been there twice and same thing both times. The cashiers do not acknowledge your presence when you check out. No HI, THANK YOU or BYE. They have a conversation among themselves the entire time, and I may actually prefer that to the sometimes fake appreciation you get at other stores. They have great products and I will definitely continue shopping here.
Spectacular selections !! Curteious staff, clean, did I mention the abundance of choices !?! I found exactly what I was looking for, and things Ive wanted to try !! The New store is wonderful . Ill be back !
The new place is show but if you look carefully like rat museum. We bought few bags of rice only to open and find that it is full of bugs. We faced the same thing with wheat flour and bought a freezer to store the flours to prevent more bugs. Lack of competition is a curse for the Indian community of Nashville.
I could spend hours in here. The best place to find Indian groceries in Nashville.
They have a little bit of everything, just about anything Ive needed Ive been able to find here. Love this place. Also the food (and snacks) are usually very tasty!
I was really impressed by this very new and spacious store. This is a great place to buy bulk rice, legumes and spices. The produce looks very good. I stopped by because I was in the area. Next time I need groceries, I want to go back.
Fun clean & full of great produce & lots of shelves full of variety. We shopped on the late side so could only try the freshly baked goods, all of which we loved. One of our group thought they were quite spicy, but she the only one. (No heated foods were left.)We will be back!
Best Indian grocery store in Nashville! This new Patel Brothers location is amazing. The store is huge and it has fresh produce and it is always well stocked! The fresh food at the end is good too! Tip: Go on weekdays in evening to beat the crowd!
Indian grocery store with full packed updated products every week. Not only Indian people enjoy but also others.best part I loved eating is the paneer masala puff. The bakery is the best. U can find mostly everything in this store. All kitchen products with groceries and everything. 👍👍👍
I visited this store after moving from Seattle to Brentwood, TN. I found everything in this store for Indian groceries as well as daily items and price is also competitive to other stores.
This store is been renovated. Its an Indian grocery store. Has a bakery and kitchen section with fresh chapati, sweets, Currys and snacks.I would suggest if you want fresh grocery come on morning hours. Thats the best time for fresh full stock veggies . They have s wife range of spices, spice powders, snacks, seasonal snacks, oils, organic lentils, candy, Indian goods like dishes, plates, kitchen gadgets etc.Parking is spacious. The checkout counters are limited but fast. On weekends its crowded. Must have sweets during festive season they are delicious. Good place to buy all goods.
Great selection. Good prices. Excellent organization.
Good selection and really good pricing compared to other Indian shops. Lots of produce that is impossible or very hard to find elsewhere such as curry leaves, thai birds eye chili, long green chili, papaya, and more. Good selection of great Indian salty snacks and different flours too.
Very Poor service, no one in store can answer questions related to grocery items.Store is very unorganized, prices are not marked for most food items.Fresh produce is limited and racks are always emptyCustomer service at Bakery section and cashier do not care about customersVery very poor experienceAvoid this place
Very good place and very clean. Employees were very helpful. Amazing in their cleanliness of the store. IMPRESSIVE!!!
Really nice place. The produce selection is amazing. Very organized place.
Excellent collection of Indian groceries and foods. Will get A-Z of everything we need. Good collection of snacks as well.
It was my first time to shop with patel Brothers and their price is awesome and the clean is on top 👌
Do his place has a lot of Indian related food products and produce. It was formerly a little smaller but now they have a wider range of items
Their new location is amazing. Great parking, friendly people, and products you cant get anywhere else in town.
Always extremely clean I cant wait to try out the cafe there every time I walk in the aromas of Curry and spice make me want to order and eat everything.
Great place for indian Grocery Spices and spiritual items.
Store is a mess.no vegetable was there. I will not go again. You drive 120 miles, and dont find much
This place has practically anything you are looking for. The produce section is large! The products are top notch. The customer service is wonderful! Huge parking lot.
Price seemed cheaper than walmart for vegies! Good place for Desi things and spices!
First time visit there from outta town. Very nice place. I was in culinary bliss! Super stocked, a deli and impressed with all the electric auto charging stations in front. I dont own an electric auto but cool knowing those that do can feed two birds with one seed by shopping while charging the car.
This is great shop for Indian Grocery. You can buy all spices and all types of Indian Food
Great service at the registers but extremely Poor service at the restaurant. Good selection of items.
Went there yesterday and the cashier who was helping me check out was wearing a mask but it was not covering his nose or mouth. And when he was bagging my goods he was wetting the tip of his fingers with his spit by taking it to his mouth to help him open up the plastic bags. In the situation we are living in with the pandemic going on I think that was the most stupidest thing I’ve seen anyone do. You definitely need some protocols in your store.
Awesome place to buy groceries and Indian food and vegetables. Also one stop place for getting Indian spices, snacks.
This place is good for authentic food. It has a good atmosphere and good prices too! The store is well kept and very clean, they are always replacing and restocking so there is no need for worry on items or them not having what you need. They have household items and food stuffs, a fresh food court and bakery. I would recommend coming here if you are busy and need good ingredients or if you just wanted some snacks too. Great place and good prices. Beats other big name store chains lol.So if you are reading this far I am leaving my original comment because I stood behind it. I will not lie about this review I feel four stars is adequate but I am not sure if it is lasting. I was and still am impressed with their selection size, huge is not an understatement. I worry though but do not fault the store or the owners or anything as far as bashing or insulting them. These times are tough and it’s a time we should be more understanding and able to accept that sometimes things are mot going to be as we would wish them to be. But if I can say anything it is that I have mot yet seen a consistent lack of trying on part of the management and staff. They do have spirit and hood efforts, but when the day comes that they stop trying to do their best is the day I change my review star selection. I want them to go higher. But I ultimately leave your own experience as judge. I still shop here, and have no intention of stopping yet. Thank you.
The place is really good for Indian product you can find almost everything . But many of their product does not have expire date on them, so its very important for you to pick up the product and check for expire date and price tag because in many product its always missing. And few of their product are damage or open you can check on picture i have added. I think they really need to maintain standard goods they sell.
Ok, just went to the new location for the first time. Noticed the following:Bigger Parking lot (electric car friendly)Bigger fresh produce sectionBigger Frozen foods sectionBigger Isles for easier traffic flowBigger signs for easier navigationMore checkout lanesFast food togo counter for quick delicious grab and go mealsManagement walking around greeting everybody making them feel welcomeEmployees restocking shelves fast.Great Store, Great experience, nothing else to say!Check out the new pics........Clean, well organized, fresh produce. Best selection in spices, breads, ready to eat frozen foods, produce and desserts. Some people complain about how busy they always are but trust me, when it comes to food, i would rather go to a busy grocery store than one that is always empty! That tells you a lot about the place........and to top it off they have awesome prices.
Went for this and Moses but no samosas in fact no baked items at all
They recently relocated so this new place has a lot of parking space. Its well organized with more fresh vegetables options. Every visit cost me a lot because I cant resist to buy food from here. Its really good for indian grocery and probably cheaper than other stores.
Newly renovated and opened Patel Brothers is really good place to shop In overall. Wide variety of items, competitive price although some items are relatively expensive then other American retailers. It is opened into the place where you would like to spend a few hours while shopping, and then go for lunch in nearby Subway, McDonald’s, and other fast food franchise in your weekends.
This place could get 5 stars if they were more aware and considerate of their lines stretching far back into the store and only having one checkout lane open. No one wants to wait in a long line that moves slowly during a pandemic. If you have employees (not the stockers) walking around the store, surely you can have more than one person checking people out. It has been like this two times in a row. Hopefully it isnt like that the next time I go.
This place was awesome! Very clean, bright, EXCELLENT produce, great prices, and great selection. Will definitely be back!
I am shopping every week here. Loved so far. Fresh produce always
Really cool store. I love Indian food and they always have all the ingredients I need to impress my family members with a homemade Indian dish. Just visiting the store, is a completely different experience. Not much is familiar, I can and have spent hours just looking at everything.
One place shop for all Indian grocery. New Fresh kitchen has good options for snacks and curry
Please check the price of the items twice on the screen at the time of billing The price written on the item when u pick is not same when billing. This happened to me 3 time, when the price of cucumber was .99 and during the billing it was 1.99.
You can find all indian groceries and staff is very helpful.
You can get all Indian related snacks and groceries here at the store. This is like a to go place for preparing Indian cuisine. However, when shopping for anything other than vegetables, do watch for expiry dates. It was not just one time that I picked something and later found it to be way past expiry date. Sometimes we shop in haste and forget to look at the expiry. Patel Brothers tend to keep items that are expired on the shelves. Beware and watch for the dates everytime. I made a recent purchase on 8th December and found the items expired in August and September. That is how long I believe the items would still remain on the shelves for sale. Similarly please check for the dates on any desserts before purchase.
For having ev charging and variety of products
Amazing location and so clean! I love that we can have such a presence in Nashville! Thank you!
Love the newly opened store, just behind the old one. The variety has increased (if that’s even possible) and the available space! Plus, they now have four charging spaces for electric cars (a bonus for those of us who are already “carbon-footprint conscious” - it’s a veritable Aladdin’s cave of delicacies.
New facility, clean, organized and clean restrooms!Carryout food was also fresh and tasty, decent jalebis very rare in Southern USA
The new store is big and has a lot of variety
The store is well organized and a boon for the Indian community. There wasn’t much I could use as my experience is limited to SE Asian and South American foodstuffs. The staff was working “Walmart” style. Busy and not concerned with the customer experience. I’m going back after I learn how to cook using these ingredients.
Never ever expected Patel Grocery Looks like this....1.they sold ashoka leaves as mango leaves for the customers by keeping the name Mango leaves on packet for UGADI TELUGU festival.2.We can see dirty and hardpacked eggs with no expiration date over the fridge which they can call ORGANIC EGGS3.most vegetables are saggy and looks black color as they are selling on streets for long time, half of the small mirchi is rotten and black color coz they might not cleaned up properly4.we might fall if we dont watch our steps, every where on floor we can see empty boxes
This is one good neighborhood Indian store. They top up good required inventories.Earlier I visited random days, saw good vegetables however my recent visits were on Tuesdays, I didnt see fresh or good quality and quantity of vegetables. It could be due to COVID or a day after Monday off. If anybody sure about it, could reply to this message
The place is good but I have always one complain whatever company product you started to like it, they stopped selling it for 2 and 3 months and they started to sell other company product, which I believe they are forcing us to purchase that new product because there is no option left for you and eventually You end up buying whatever is available 😒. ( that’s how monopoly works)
Great place to find variety of groceries, especially Indian food. Good food in hot food area, but go early cause they run out in the evenings.
Love the naan bread,Ive always swing by at this store to get some. And the most perfect part is the new store location which is bigger, cleaner and looking so solemn and comfortable.Amazing.
Good grocery store. Low price and they maintained almost all international products
The newly built location right behind the old one is much larger and more spacious than before.
Everything we needed and a super friendly staff.
Compare to other stores prices are high .. I don’t know why these people have only swad brands .. I think they don’t know that is cheapest brand... and I recognized for thumbs up 👍🏻 bottles they removed expired date ... this is a crime ... hope FDA people recognizes this
Nice location and nice variety of Indian groceries. Great fresh produce.Bad management though, store is often overcrowded especially in the evening with no restriction on no. of people allowed in the store. No one way traffic in the super narrow aisles. I am honestly surprised no one reported this situation to authorities.
Very big, clean and nice indian grocery stores. Recently they moved to bigger place, and can find everything for indian food items in here. Our must go place when we cooking indian food.
The Patel brothers website does not have store hours !
Updating my rating as today I had the worst experience. The guy at the cash counter was so rude. I did pack all of my stuff on my own. He was not willing to pack my stuff in a box wherein I was trying to reduce the use of poly bags. He upfront told me to pick a box and pack my stuff. Id have left the cart there itself had I not spent an hour to collect all the stuff. Never met such a rude person on the cash counter.
This is IT. this is your one stop shop for all non-meat indian/pakistani groceries. Theyre clean, well stocked, well organized (isle markers? What?) Fresh produce, tons of frozen items and any and every spice you could want or need. The new store also has a little cafe with samosas and daals and such. Plenty of parking and decent customer service. All in all, my fave grocery store in Nashville!!
Good new facility but not as many brand selection available any more.
Nice place for Indian groceries
I expected the management to be more responsible during a pandemic. The place was packed. Not that too many people were coming in. But those than in had to wait in long lines for more than 30 minutes because the check out counters were overwhelmed. The ladies working there were clearly overworked. There was no social distancing. Some people got tired of waiting and were snacking on the items on the shelf. The staff was being negligent, with boxes everywhere, there was hardly any place to move. There is only one Indian grocery store in Nashville with this much variety. So they will get away with it. But people must know.
Best place for Indian grocery
Thank you so much for installing a electric car charging station! This gives me another reason to keep coming here!
Love the new store! Love shopping there too!
The new building is p good.
Much better since they got new store
Really nice store. Great selection of produce and Indian foods
Great shopping and please check out their take out food in the back the food is awesome!!!
The deli is an inexpensive and delicious choice for lunch.
Patel Brothers always has what my husband and I need for cooking. My only complaint is that the aisles are very narrow and make it hard to shop when products are being shelved as many customers are trying to get by. Other than that, it is a great place to shop.
We like shopping here but the management and staff is not concerned about the safety of the shoppers, they have no wipes, people keep sneezing as they always have chili power floating in the store and not sure if they are cleaning/sanitizing the commonly used places like carts/counters etc. and it’s usually crowded so be careful when visiting this store. Hope the management is proactive and Jew this place safe for shoppers. Any possibility these guys can look at delivery or pickup options?
Impressive place
Love this please like the upgrade
Nice variety, helpful people
