Heard about this place and driven by many times but today we took the plunge. We were not disappointed.You can order from the drive through but the wait can be long. We pulled up and parked so we could order from the window. The picnic tables are covered in writing which keep the kids busy looking for their names or interesting dates. No restroom available and everything is outside so waiting in the car is preferred unless you want to brave the elements. They call your order with a speaker.
This place takes you back in time!! They have oldies music playing while you eat outside! The hamburgers, onion rings and malts are the BEST!!👍This place is always busy!!Its pullup and order and wait in car or outside by picnic tables.**The decor, paint could use a fresh update on outside.**Friendy staff and fun atmosphere!
Great little spot! Friendly staff & the best chili dog Ive ever had. Outside seating & drive thru available. It was a busy little place on the Friday night we went - the line to order & wait for food took a bit of time but it was FRESH & definitely worth the wait. The milkshake was also incredibly smooth & delicious. Highly recommend!

Step back in time with the Malt Shop in Weatherford, TX! The walk up and drive thru burger joint is definitely worth a stop. I’ve had the cheeseburger, tots, okra and chocolate shake and will order them again. The bun was buttery with the right amount of crispy edge. The cheese was melted to perfection. The shake was a real ice cream hand spun shake. The service is down home friendly and the prices are reasonable. It won’t help your diet but it could help your soul!
Food was ok - nothing special. If youre out in the area, consider driving to Dairy Mart in Mineral Wells instead.

I’m not sure what’s up with some of these bad reviews! There was 5 people in front of us and we had our food in less than 15 minutes, plus the cheeseburger okra and malt were so good!
Classic, old school, hamburger stand. Pretty extensive menu board covers all the standard bases. As the name would indicate, their claim to fame may well be those malts! I strongly suggest the butterscotch. Insiders tip... even their small size is pretty big. Enjoy!
Been going there for 35 years and food is always good, prices are very good and the people working there are very good and friendly. The milkshakes and malts are out of this world. On a scale of 1 to 5 I give them a BIG 10!!!
Twice now weve made the drive from Wylie. Both times weve left satisfied with full stomachs and arteriesTasty, cheap food. Menu is spread out across several boards so make sure you read all of it.4 stars because they dont have a smoking area (or if they do, they dont enforce it) so if somebody nearby decides to suck on a cancer stick then you either gotta eat in your car or deal with the stench
Great find! Was looking for a burger joint and this was PERFECT! Great hamburgers with fried buns on the grill, French fries and tater tots. Small malt is big and FANTASTIC! Great cut service, very cool place 🥳🥳🥳
Great hidden gem for an old fashioned burger. The malts are fantastic and there are plenty of other items to choose from. Nothing fancy and thats the beauty of this place. We arrived hungry and left satisfied.

This was last night. We were going to go to Whataburgur but I convinced my boyfriend to come here instead so we could support the local business, you know, COVID stuff. We got a malt, a shake, a corn dog and a tator tot. We waited about 30 minutes both in line and waiting for the food. This didn’t really bother us too much.But the fingernail definitely did bother me. I’m absolutely disgusted. They weren’t wearing masks, though they did mostly stay behind the screens so it didn’t bother me much, but none of them were wearing gloves. Now I know that the cooks definitely weren’t either. Absolutely ruined my night, and my appetite for this place. To bad, since the shakes were good.

Great throwback drive in. Hot Dogs and Burgers and Onion rings are on point. Chili dogs are top notch. Great bargain for the amount of food you get.Give this old drive up a shot you wont be disappointed.

Me and my wife eat here all the time. Last night we she had a regular hamburger and I had a double meat jalapeño burger and I have never been more disappointed. Both burgers had runny cheese and hardly any vegetables. Both didn’t have much of a taste,in fact it was bad. What happened to you guys? Please get back on track. We’ve always loved your food. Never thought y’all would sell bad food.

Enjoyed my food on my visit even though it took a bit. However friendly service will trump long wait any day in my book. Both ladies I interacted with were very nice. Love the bottom toasted bun on the burger. It gave the burger an unexpected texture. The tots were cooked to a perfect crispness and the malt was very flavorful. Would have easily been a 5 with faster service but was glad I stopped today & will stop again if in the area!!!!
This place has been my FAVORITE for years. Their shakes/malts are to die for (strawberry is my favorite) and their menu items are all good! There hasnt been anything that I didnt like! Price range is very good for the quality. I LOVE this place. My puppers got a free ice cream too💕🐕🍦

My cheeseburger was hot and fresh. Loved the tator tots and shake. However the funnel cake sticks were somewhat fried to long making them dry and a little tough to eat.

I am not sure why this place is rated so high. The food is much less desirable than chain fast food places and the wait is much longer even with less customers.

Extremely long wait and burgers used to be really good. Last couple times had 1 super thin slice tomato that was size of a 50 cent piece and 2 pickles and very little lettuce.People are nice but seem to be cutting back on product amount!

I use to stop by here often in college, was driving by and had to stop in. Really cool old school place. Waited around for a half hour to learn their fuel had been exhausted. Their tea was also subpar. I may return when it isnt so late in the evening to do so.

My chocolate malt is everything you want it to be. Our group got root beer floats, ice cream, and the tater tots with cheese and bacon. Everything was very good. Great stop!

This is the best road side stop ever! I have been going here for decades. The Malts are always excellent and the food is great! It is normally busy so be patient and try going on a Saturday they normally have something going on to pass the time. Last time I went a car club was there. So go and have a good time!
Im coming here everytime we go through Weatherford. Try the homemade licorice ice cream.

Im all for supporting small businesses, but an hour wait is ridiculous. Burger was mediocre malts were really good! Still not worth the wait.
We were passing through and the name caught my attention and we had to stop. The burger was pretty good, no complaints there. The onion rings were super greasy but otherwise great tasting. We also tried the zucchini sticks which were very bland and we definitely could have done without them. We will stop here again for the burger next time we are passing through.

Ordered some shakes and malts and the young lady said our order right but messed up our orders completely. We didn’t get what we asked for and found trash in my shake!!! This lady had attitude! Never again this was the most outrageous Experience.
