Sergey is a true professional. I brought my 1943 Mosin-Nagant for a bolt handle change and a scope addition. The metal on the bolt handle was braised perfectly so that the original bolt seemed as if it was made to accept the new handle. The scope mount was added perfectly and just enough wood was cut to allow the receiver to settle without carving out the entire side. Also the turn around time for the work done was impeccable. I would recommend RustBlue to anyone looking for quality work on any firearm modern or historical! 10/10!

I brought three older firearms to Rustblue. We reviewed what I wanted for each firearm, and what was feasible based on initial inspection. The most work was completed on a 100 year old 22 youth rifle. The barrel was relined and a new trigger spring was manufactured. The turnaround was much faster than I anticipated. The price was fair. I had Sergey restore my original Winchester 1873, and I could not be happier with the work he did. When I dropped the gun off for restoration, it was not functional and needed a refinish. Not only did Sergey complete the restoration quickly and at a reasonable price, but the gun looks magnificent. Sergey took my non-functional, rusted old Winchester and turned it into a beautiful rifle that not only looks great but shoots straight as well. One wouldnt be able to tell that it had been worked on and refinished; the restoration was just perfect. Great bluing work from Sergey. First time working with him, he is very precise and quick. I recommend him for any type of gun smithing problem. He knows how to fix it, antique or new.

He has done a couple of custom jobs for me. Especially interesting was the first one. I had an AK that was jamming every other round and all the other experts had no idea what to do with it. He diagnosed the problem within seconds and made a custom trigger job to fix it – still works like a charm after 10 years.

Sergey at RutblueGunsmithing is a master at restoration of antique lonngarms and pistols. He recently restored a Model 1769 Shortland Liege Brown Bess for me. It is an excellent piece of work. He has completed very difficult restorations for me in the past with amazing results. It appears that no requirement is too difficukt for him. I highly recommend this skilled craftsman. He is also a delightful very friendly person to work with and very patient with my sometimes fussy requirements.

I shoot about 250 cartridges a week at sporting clays. Sergy knows shotguns and clays shooting very well, and has helped me compete by adjusting the fit of several of my shotguns. In addition he keeps up with the wear and tear, and makes sure that my field guns are ready for the bird season. If I get in a jamb for a shoot, he manages to fit me in right away. He is presently re-stocking an LC Smith for me. His work is comparable to that I have had done in the UK, and he is very pleasant to work with. Sergey is a very knowledgeable and professional gunsmith. I needed a trigger rework job done on my HK45C. Currently no kit exists for that. Sergey phoned HK and after a conversation with them he was able to use a USP Target trigger kit. He had to do some rework but in the end the job came out perfect. I had my Para Ordnance 1911 Expert 45 ACP pistol customized at Rustblue Gunsmithing. The owner (Sergey Lyalko) has replaced the slide stop and the mag release button and installed adjustable rear sights and a tritium front sight on it. He has done a superb job at a very reasonable price.

I would not and will never go anywhere near there again. I paid good money and was very disappointed in the work and got no satisfaction.

Would give zero stars if possible. Web site says appointment only. Never answers phone or returns messages. Impossible to make an appointment. Could only image the nightmare of getting work by them and trying retrieve gun.
