It pains me to give it a low rating, but today I discovered that all their breads are thrown in the trash by the sell date I asked the associate if that means the bread are expired and I was shook that they actually throw perfectly good bread, that is sealed and non-contaminated. I also asked if they at least offer discounts for the ones they are about to throw since it was couple minutes before closing, and you guessed it, the answer was no since the bread is perfectly good. I have read online that some locations dont throw their food, instead they uptake the more sensible humane way and donate it to homeless shelters. I am saddened to pledge never buying form them again, until they fix their ridiculous wasteful policies and partner with an organization that distribute this perfectly good food. I wish more customers will stand by me so we can make a change.

First time at this bakery cafe and I have to say that it was busy, it was their anniversary and they were giving 15% off on their stuff but only at the store so I got lucky!I bought the strawberry mousse which it wasnt as good as it looks.🙄Anyway, I will go back to try more stuff from their menu...Service was good, and it looks clean and at a good location.

First time here at National City location and we’re in line on Thanksgiving Day for their Egg Tarts. Due to covid, and just like any other places. There’s max 10 people at a time that can go inside. Thankfully, they had plenty in stock and already wrapped individually. I like this location, because they pick up the phone even when they’re busy.Love their website, I find it useful when looking up ingredients. Like what’s on their Egg Tart?Tart Shelll (Bleached and Unbleached Enriched Flours, Unsalted Butter, Water, Sugar, Salt.), Milk, Cream, Eggs, Sugar. Contains Egg, Milk, Wheat.

So many delicious items! It was difficult to pace myself. A bit of a line to get in bc only eight people max. It moves fairly well. Also no Boba as an add-on right now. So far the pastries, puddings, and cake have been beautiful as well as delicious. Smaller than the shop on Balboa but still clean, spacious and crammed full of the yummiest baked goods. Definitely try it!

This place has been up and down recently but Im reading it partially as well as I am because I remember how great it used to be and I hope that things can be tightened up to be that good again.Due to quarantine there have been very inconsistent performance and delivering pastries and desserts which is what this place is known for I understand that some ingredients can be hard to get but that doesnt change the inconvenience.Also customer service has been very up and down they used to be extremely friendly but lately some of the employees have been downright rude or just plain weird if not extremely unconscious and in the way or even bumping into people not paying attention.These times are hard and customer service is so important in this unprecedented era.The drinks and the pastries and desserts that this place serves up are amazing when they do have them and all the ingredients to make them I just wish that the process of obtaining them was a little bit smoother sometimes .

I gave it a 3 stars because it is overpriced and the cake and muffin that I tried did not taste that good, they tasted bland.I got a chocolate muffin (about $2) and a slice of red velvet cake ($3.20).They have very nice and clean installations, and due to COVID-19, they allow a maximum of 8 people inside.The cashier was really friendly, helpful, and polite whereas the lady that was placing the pastries on the displays was very curt, not helpful at all.

The place is spacious with lots of mouth watering pastry choices! I love their Hongkong egg tarts and their taro bun! This particular branch have nice staff and their Dining space are so clean. I would love to go back here when I crave for one of those delicious pastries!

Lots of individually wrapped and unique pastries. Perfect for picking up a bag of treats for friends, co workers or family. They also have whole cakes averaging $32. I opted for 4 different pieces of beautiful cream filled cake for $12, which was a very elegant dessert to bring to our hostess!! Waited in line outside thd store on a friday afternoon for a short while, due to restrictions of 8 people in the store at a time, which was a good policy. They also serve drinks. Very helpful cashiers!

This bakery offers a variety of different pastries to choose from. The setup is self serve with you getting your pastries and bread with a tray. Every pastry we got tasted fresh and delicious! This was our first time here and we will be coming back. Staff seems friendly and prices were fair.

This probably would be my last time to order drinks here. I had UNSWEETNED Peach green tea but its still way too sweet for me. My son had strawberry banana smoothie and it was disgusting. It was so watery and hardly tastes fresh strawberry nor bananas, just easy enough to tell they are not using fresh ingredients.Tapioka express makes WAY BETTER DRINKS!!

Its 7:30pm. Their hours say theyre open until 10pm. This is the first 85° Ive been to that has EMPTY shelves. Idk if they decided to not make more for the end of the night here, but they dont have much left to choose from with 2 & 1/2 hours still left to be open.

My favorite coffee place the sea salt does something that just makes the coffee sing. Also cant go wrong with the various pastries. Love the hot dog bun and the brioche breads.

Wow sorry, the second time I have co.e to this bakery and they run out of coffee, that is unacceptable for a business that sells pastries, that probably dont carry milk as well.

I had to wait about 20 minutes to get in (which is understandable due to limiting patrons because of COVID). But when I was inside... There were about 5 front staff and although the other customers paid and exited before me, no new customers were allowed to come in (because there was no employee monitoring the door). Its hot outside! Were trying to support your business!

The sea salt coffee here is wonderful. I have yet to try something from here and be disappointed.

They are metering people in because of COVID, so expect a short wait before they let you in (5-10 min), masks required.AMAZING pastries. I love the Spinach and Kale Danish, Mango Swirl, Egg tarts, and matcha bean rolls. These unique shape and flavor combinations are a tasty treat that are out of the ordinary, but still comforting.

The taro pastries are absolutely delicious. I always get them along with the passion for green tea while my girl friend lives the fresh King grapefruit tea.

Our go to place if we want milk tea with pudding and lychee. Aside from fresh breads, i tried their dessert last night and it was the bomb! I had to literally save the other one for take out. I forgot what its called tho 😅.. will definitely come back for more desserts and drinks. Oh and their coffee, i love it!

This place is so yummy. I prefer their savory bread like the bacon and cheese or the sausage buns. Their Hokkaido cheese tarts make my day. I love all their cakes in the cooler and request it on my birthday. Their sweet breads are good too my husband loves any of the chocolate ones, the one with cream cheese in it is exceptionally good. Their Monday special is a salted coffee for 85¢. Its really good and you can get 4 for that price. The also give military discounts so they get an A+ in my book. This is our spot we go like once a week.

A Friend told me to come here and check it out. Instantly loved the place because that taro smoothie. And the fruit custard tart. Not pricey at all. Good place to go after a big dinner.

I had the cheese bread and it was pretty good. Prices were affordable for Freshoy Baked Goods, and you can get whatever desired quantity, which is great for trying new things. Instead of getting a dozen of something you might or might not like, you can try an individual, and then explore more. My to go bakery.

I absolutely adore this place. The baked goods are always on point, and I havent had a bad experience with any of the drinks Ive tried either.I highly recommend the Sea Salt Caramel Iced Coffee and the Mocha Bread (has nuts).

The wife and kids love this place. I always go for the larger breads, as I feel thats how Im getting the best deal. And anything with coconut! Grab some goodies here when your visiting friends with kids. Itll be a hit for sure!

I want to like this place but they always mess up drink orders. Its 30 minutes to get in because of the covid wait. I order a iced caramel macchiato with boba, not shaken. (Its supposed to be separate parts espresso and milk, not mixed).I asked for this and what do I get? A completely tasteless macchiato. No caramel. Mixed.I could overlook the mixed part, whatever.But Im already in my car driving away when I notice theres no caramel. Too late to turn back. Complete waste of time and money.

This bakery has the most amazing flavors of bread and coffee. Also on Mondays you can get a salted caramel coffee for $.85 cents. They have really good tasting bobas. I really like this place. It is a little pricey, but in all honesty their products are worth it. You are getting quality treats and eats. I am trying to figure which one I like the best still. They have so many choices I cant make up my mind. Now the staff, they have really friendly staff working there. They always have a smile to greet you with and are happy to help. The downfalls they need a bigger place and maybe a few more deals so I can visit more often to enjoy their products. My kids also love this place, they feel just like I do.

I love every 85°, so I might be biased. But this one has a nice wide selection of savory and sweet and Ive never had to wait long for drink orders. I like that theyll always bring out hot bread if you ask for specific ones. I wish they didnt discontinue my favorite bread, the jalapeno danish though. But the caramel danish, the cheese bread, and the garlic bread are all really good!

This place so FILTY, DIRTY, GROSS GROSS, seems this bake shop never clean since they open 2 years ago. Floor, under neat table, restroom, and you look behind the counter, machines to make coffees and drinks are disgusting, I can imagine what is looks inside where they making all pastries, bread, cakes .This place needs to be check by Heath Department, Management needs to do some action to clean up this bakery. HEATH HAZARD.

Ive never been and finally rebuffed to stop in. It was later in the evening and most of the daily baked stuff was gone but the had other things to choose from in the refrigerated display case. The desserts where rich and decadent but not overly sweet. Good place for date night snacks while out and about.
