Mimi is an AMAZING choreographer! She never fails to make everyone feel welcomed, regardless of their level of experience. She has taught me, along other women, how to evoke that sexy, and confident inner goddess within us. After my divorce I decided to try something new. I had been running for a while and just needed a new challenge. My love for Latin music and dance brought me to Speranza! I’ve never danced. And I immediately joined a team. Let me tell you it has been the best thing I’ve done! The studio is so welcoming. Mimi is a wonderful director! She got me on stage. She’s helped with my dancing, and you can feel her passion for dancing in class. I’d highly recommend the studio. They will become your family in no time!

I was part of the Urban Ladies Dance Team for one season and it was a great experience. The instructor, Mimi, was amazing and helped me get out of my shell and be confident. I love the judgement-free zone atmosphere she creates. I loved the routine we did and loved that we got to perform at a big festival. I would definitely recommend attending the weekly urban classes on Thursdays or joining the team. ❤️

Enjoy being part of Speranza and have been attending about a year in a half. Started with Salsa and Urban classes, shortly tried out for the Urban Team with director Mimi. I have had a great experience with her and has helped me boost my confidence and dance skills, especially on the dance floor. I recommend the studio for sure!

I found my way to Speranza after having studied with various other dance companies in DC, SF, and SD. Overall, they work hard for the students and do a great job. I like the style of salsa taught here, especially the footwork. The dance teams are well-run, with focused practices that generally start/end on time and are not overly long. I appreciate the opportunities that I have been given here to challenge myself and improve as a dancer.

Absolutely adore this studio and the instructors! They make sure to break down step by step each dance routine and make class enjoyable! Truly look forward to coming to the studio and having a blast!

Great place to learn how to dance latin music. A fun environment, excellent classes and atmosphere. The price for classes cannot be beat anywhere in town. Definitely recommend it.

I have been attending Speranza dance studio for 3 years now. I really appreciate great instructors, mentors, and amazing individuals. I learned and improved so much in my salsa and bachata dance techniques. I am looking forward to continue advancing my dance skills and learning at my favorite dance studio of San Diego.

I love this studio. Everyone, students and instructors alike, are friendly, welcoming, and encouraging. I have been a part of this studio for about 6 months and have seen so much growth in my skill. I usually have a hard time when it comes to dance, but with their thorough demonstrations, simple explanations, and patience, I have been able to slowly accomplish what I have been trying to achieve for many years; confidence on the dance floor.

I took my first Salsa dance class in this studio and although Im not a review person but I feel honestly I need to take a moment to write one.I met this young instructor (celso I believe was his name) and he took the class to a whole different level. When other instructors focus on you just teaching steps, in simple words, PUSHING US A LOT (some people could feel maybe overwhelmed but everyones energy was at its max) and few tips, he helped us to walk into the dance. What a teacher, this is knowledge on my eyes. Props to Speranza for having someone just as prepared as him. I wish my work schedule would allow me visiting more often.
