Hidden gem. Super cool guys working the desk and the mechanic was salty ...had me in and out quick on a Saturday. I had both tires replaced because I caught a nail in the rear and figured why not. Made some calls for pricing and to be honest I was surprised. 8 ball tires wanted over 500 bucks for some Dunlops with installation...ouch. I ended up paying a very fair price for a similar tire without the drive so far north. Lots of bikes in the lot getting work so there busy. My experience tells me its a great shop. Call ahead so you can make sure they get or have the tires you need.

Ive been a customer since 2006, and I dont think five stars are enough. NCM is experienced, thorough, friendly, and they know whats what. Theyve saved me a lot of money over the years, and my bike is dialed. One of the best shops Ive ever dealt with.

These guys are great. I asked if they would work on my Energica Ego, an electric bike they had never worked on before, and instead of turning me away like most shops in the area did, they were willing to give it a shot. They got straight to work when I arrived, offered advice afterward, and performed the work at an extremely fair price. Hourly labor rate is significantly lower than nearby boutique motorcycle shops.Will definitely be coming back whenever I need help.

NCM is definitely the best motorcycle shop in San Diego! Their service and professionalism is outstanding. Work on my 2015 Street Glide Special has always been completed on time and the prices are good. Justin is the man when it comes to anything Harley Davidson.

Really great knowledgeable staff here. I took my CBR500R here with electrical issues and they gave it back to me running perfectly. They also fixed an air leak on a Harley-Davidson tire that all other shops recommended I just buy new tire. Im telling you, THEY KNOW THEIR STUFF

Went in for a new set of tires. They did not have the right size for my front wheel. So we special ordered it and get them in 5 days as promised. The service person talked to me about my tires and after he was done he took my bike for a test run. Im very happy I came to this place.

I have to add to my review, I come here every month to air up the tires on my Helix 250 and Burgman 650 (gas stations dont have the correct angle fitting on the air hose and my valve stems are at a 90° angle) Rob and his crew are great guys! I went 9/6/19 and noticed I lost 10psi in my front tire on the 650, as Josh was airing up my tire he checked the valve stem for leaks and found that there was a slow leak coming from the valve core. Within two shakes of a lambs tail he replaced the core with a new one and fixed the leak. I thanked Josh and asked how much I owed him he said youre welcome and theres no charge. Im glad I live up the street from NCM, I appreciate everything theyve done to help me stay safe on the road. Even though theyre always packed with work and busy as hell theyll take care of you when youre in need of even the smallest thing like a new valve stem core. It might of saved me from having an accident on the road/freeway, Im glad I check my bikes weekly and air up monthly.Badly needed a tire change on my 87 Helix, bought a pair of Bridgestone Molas ML16 & 17 tires, got them changed at N.C.M. they got the job done fast and was told what else needed taking care of next. Thanks guys!

Ive been here a couple of times, once for a new tire replacement and again for a complete service on my 1995 Harley Dyna. Both times the service was excellent, I would even say above and beyond the norm. They charge what I would call a fair price for service and they listened to me regarding my bike. Look, its been a tough year for all of us, but it was an added bummer when our motorcycle got damaged in a military move. Justin was able to help us with an inspection on it and really understood what was wrong and how it happened. These guys know their stuff and have the experience to back up their knowledge. As a new motorcycle rider, I was nervous that a shop would try to take advantage of my little knowledge of bikes and oversell me on things. The exact opposite happened at National City Motorcycles. Rob took the time to show me how to check the oil, chain and tire pressure and didn’t even charge me! (nothing was fixed on the bike). I felt like I was in good hands and really appreciated not being sold things that I didn’t need. This will definitely be my go-to shop in San Diego! 10/10 Golden establishment.

I got a flat tire on my bike and I needed it fixed asap, they took me right in and did an excellent job. They do maintenance on most bikes with quality products and great prices.

Not sure where to start... they lost parts to reassemble my bike then lied about it, never gave me the mail in rebate for the brand new tires, which after 50 miles went flat... switched my shifting back from GP installing it wrong causing it to miss a gear and after all that charged me full price! If I didnt live out of state I would be there to get new tires and a refund for the u-haul I had to get because of there negligence! Hopefully they see this and act accordingly

This is one of those shops where you just cant really find anymore. The time, dedication, workmanship, and experience are beyond reproach. Highly recommend to any motorcyclist, if you got a motorcycle theyll fix it. Brought them a very old 85 XR250r with master break cylinder issues. Next day bike was ready to go along with a good plan of maintenance very impressed.

Oh my gosh!!!! Brought in some parts yesterday 3/30 for my 2011 Heritage Softail Classic, Rob was very courteous and helpful. They promised that the bike would be ready by Friday 4/1 and they were finished today 3/31. Very good work and very helpful. Will definitely be bringing my bike here for future work!

I needed my tires changed on my Harley and at my shop, our machine is only set up for car/truck tires. I already had the tires off the bike but being a mechanic, its hard for me to trust other people with something that I cant do. Anyways, I looked online for a couple of shops nearby and saw the good reviews of this place, so I decided to give them shot. A gentleman named Rob ended up helping me out and was VERY helpful along with all the other staff. Rob did my tires along with changing a inner tube that needed to be replaced up front and had everything done in a very timely manner. Thumbs up to Rob and his staff.

Just left the facility and took her for my first ride- outside of a parking lot- in my life. Ran smooth, sounded great. More Importantly: the service here was absolutely amazing. They broke down what the bike needed and helped me understand exactly what and why they did what they did.When I went to hop on and take her home I noticed the bike I left (sat for 2 years in the sun) had been cleaned up and even the leather seat restored/conditioned to look like new again... It didnt even look like the same bike.Overall, you guys went above and beyond and all the guys over there are top notch and friendly. Thank you for making a bike lover out of me, and if I ever need work again I will be back

Have had tires and oil done here in the past. I called TWICE today before my bike was towed to confirm they would accept my BUELL. I was told yes two different times and gave them the info on my bike and that it was stored for 2 years, needed to get running (battery, possibly leaks etc) they denied it when the tow truck driver arrived. So now that they wont accept it, it cant be left on the street - I had to have it towed to a location in National City for an additional $73. Thanks guys. Ill never ever be back and Ill also never suggest this to anyone ever again. Be aware if your bike needs service and they tell you theyll accept it, they might screw you at the last second.

Great shop, low rates and all around good people.I recently moved to San Francisco, but I was living in San Diego for two years and used National City Motorcycle many times. Everyone working there knows motorcycles inside and out and is actually willing to help you out (unlike other shops). Every time I used NCM the job was done ON TIME and ON BUDGET. One time the rear tire popped on my Harley at 5:00PM. I was able to catch the service department (who looked like they were exhausted when I arrived) right before they were heading home. Needless to say, they REALLY saved me by sticking around after-hours and changing the tire. What other shop would have done that? I dont know ANY. Not a single one.Needless to say, the only complaint I have is that I dont have access to their services in San Francisco.

If youre debating servicing your bike here, dont. Just do it. Have had two bikes worked on by Mike. PHENOMENAL customer service and attention to detail.

Been a customer since I turned 18, I bought all my accessories and repairs at this shop for 26 years. I would walk in and be greeted by the owners when they noticed the familiar face. Today I walk in for a motorcycle battery $184....all I had was a checkbook and cashier directed me Bob the owner for approval. Bob denied the approval and asked me to come back with cash or card. I drove 7.5 miles to this shop. Do you think I want to drive back for an $184 battery??? I quoted a battery at Southbay Motorsports for $150 which is closer to my home. I ended up ordering a battery online which cost me $90 for a Lithium Ion battery, half of what NCM wanted for their battery which Is also half the quality of Lithium Ion technology.They lost a customer for life.a

Extremely friendly staff but incompetent. I was recommended to NCM by a friend and they had my bike for almost 2 months for a vacuum/ fuel related issue. I do all of my work on my vehicles but this was my first carbed machine (06 Honda 599). The bike was first returned to me after 3 weeks and was still having the same issue. I dropped it back off where I was charged more to further diagnose and the next time I was working on the bike I noticed that not only did they leave a main breather hose disconnected but my RR assembly was not bolted onto the frame and hanging freely. The plate behind my new MOSFET RR was just shy of being jammed into my rear shock. The side covers were not installed properly and this level of carelessness is inexcusable, especially for how long they had my bike. This is why I never trust any shops to touch my cars/ bikes when I can avoid it.

I came in Saturday morning to have new tires installed. I sat down in the waiting area and remembered I needed a new brake lever, the guy in the office was super helpful and found exactly what I needed and gave it to the tech to install. I then remembered I needed a banjo switch and again had to stop him from what he was doing, but he found what I needed and took it to the tech. It took a few hours, which was to be expected with the volume of bikes they had But I was updated multiple times in the status so no complaints. When they were done they told me they cleaned and lubed my chain and added some missing fairing bolts for free. They also didnt charge me for installation of the lever or banjo switch. Ive been to a lot of mechanics in a lot of different cities and its rare to find guys that when you leave you know you wouldnt hesistate to come back.These guys are great all around from front to back and they definitely have my business as long as Im in SD.
