I worked with Adam Carter, he worked with me over the phone a bit, and in person when I arrived. Great selection of vehicles, and ultimately talked me into a vehicle that I had no idea I even wanted. Not in a bad way though, I ended up purchasing a 2022 Tucson (was looking at a smaller/cheaper vehicle at first) which I am VERY glad I got. The space, storage, and overall comfort and safety features outweigh the value ten fold. Had a great time, first time buying new, so I expected it to be an anxiety field trip, but somehow it wasnt.

I would give 5 stars for the service I received when I brought my car in to Philpott Hyundai for an oil change and tire rotation. The service was done quickly and I was out in just about 45 minutes. I have removed a star for the process of setting up the appointment. I had first called and when I was transfered to their Hyundai Service Department no one answered the phone...it just kept ringing. I then hung up and tried setting up the appointment via their chat. That process took forever, almost 20 minutes. I was finally given a 7:00 am appointment and took it because I didnt know how long it would take to get one later in the day. Fortunately someone called me the day before to remind me about the appointment and asked if the time was still okay for me. When I said I would appreciate one a little later in the morning it was changed to 9:00 am. They need to do something about making it easier to set up an appointment online, but other than this problem I was happy with the service I received for my Santa Fe.

My wife and I just had our first child, so we needed something SAFE and dependable. I was not looking forward to being the one to do that horrible dance with someone trying to talk me into a bad deal. In a world full of con-artists and trickery, you’ve always got to wonder if your salesman is actually worried about your interests, or just interested in lining their pockets. This is the first time I’ve bought a brand new vehicle and felt welcome to take my time. Every question I had was followed up with a genuine, knowledgeable answer. The sales rep, Jason, went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and appreciated. I spent two days deciding which vehicle perfectly suited my needs (and looked awesome). He was there every step of the way answering questions. Not once did I feel rushed, pressured, or like I was being talked into a specific decision. We spoke with the manager, Kevin, numerous times. You can tell as soon as you meet him that he is a genuinely good, honest person. He may not tell you exactly what you want to hear, but he’s going to tell you the truth and then figure out the best way around it if that truth affects you getting your dream car.I left the dealership with a 2021 Hyundai Tucson. It has been a little less than a week, and I am still very satisfied with my purchase and who I purchased it from. The whole experience was surprisingly enjoyable (I’ve had bad ones.. very recently) and I would highly recommend that someone needing a new vehicle talk to these gentlemen. I’m very glad I did.

Couldnt Of Been A Better Experience!I would have never believed with the inventory hardships dealers are experiencing these days that i would have gotten my perfect vehicle and a 100% satisfactory amount for my trade-in not to mention a perfect car buying experience with all thats going on! Pricing was so fair i didnt even bother to chew them down because i reasoned, i want my local dealership to keep their doors open, and if they can get a little extra on my traded vehicle, im happy to help : ) Unlike other dealerships that are raising their MSRP pricing - ive seen some as much as 25%!!) so far they havent had to and gave me a fantastic deal on a new 2022 Tucson Limited HYBRID. I bought my elantra back in 2020 had it for under 6 months, and my engine block blew then while the car was at the dealership I got no communication from service whatsoever. 83 days later my car is done with the repairs and all they had to say is that the rental was my compensation for the wait. almost 3 months of being out of my car while paying my note to have them say the rental was my compensation is absurd. Classic did more for me and that is saying something.

Phillpott spent three weeks with my vehicle and failed to duplicate my issue, diagnose my problem, or fulfill any promises made when they asked to charge me for a service.You would believe theyve never worked on a Hyundai for anything other than changing the oil and checking tires. Even when there is an engine code, they still cant determine what the greater issue may be.
I was a first time car buyer with poor credit. I submitted my info and was contacted by Jason Simon. He worked with me through out the day and made me feel confident in what I was doing. When I got to the dealership he greeted me with a fist bump and a brand new car! Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I could purchase a new car but Jason and his team went to bat for me. My dealer was very helpful and made my first car buying experience a lot less stressful.
I brought my car to to the service department on Friday October 30. They had to order parts that did not come in until Tuesday November 3, 2020. They called me to get it Tuesday. I took off 1 1/2 hours early to pick up my car and pay $2500. I did not make it home before I heard and felt a grabbing and groaning and thunk every time I pushed or let up on the brakes. The dealership and service department were closed at this time. I was terrified I wouldnt make it home. I brought it back the next morning praying I wouldnt have a wreck. The service manager told me that a bolt had come undone. I was furious. That should have been checked before I was called, much less let me drive off of the lot. I am very disappointed with the service. If I could have given no stars I would have.
Brought my car (Genesis coupe) in at the end of July for a front end alignment and to have an inner slash guard installed on the front right wheel. I was told that there was no way to make adjustments on the front end and camber bolts had to be purchased and installed on the car before the front end could be aligned. So note to self have dealership check the alignment before purchasing next car. On the inner slash guard, it was order on July 27th and was told that they would notify me when it came in and they could install it and also install the camber bolts in order to align the front end. Well, after not hearing anything for 3 months I called (10/26) to check to see if the parts had come in it. I was told by an employee that he would check on it and call me back. A week went by and no follow up. I call back on 11/1 and was told the parts were in and I could bring the car in for repairs. As far as buying my car and the other dealings with the dealership it has been pretty good. I was just disappointed in the time frame that it took to get repairs made and was really disappointed that they did not follow up with me after they said they would. As far as the front end alignment and the cars not having any way to adjust them was pour engineering. Both front tires wore out on the very inside edge of the tire. The car did not pull to either side or give any indication the front end was out of alignment. I ended up having a blowout on the interstate and thats when I noticed just how bad the wearing was. The car only had about 28,000 mile on it.

I have never had a good experience at this service department. The staff is pleasant but the work and the follow through with receipts are lacking. I do not want to waste more of my time leaving a detailed review. But I will say when I picked my car up and paid I still had two of the two main problems I wanted fixed...I will try Hyundai of Silsbee.

I had an appointment for some recalls on my Hyundai Sonata early on September 20th. Tropical storm Imelda had just hit us and I wasn’t sure if the service department would even be open. Since I live close by I drove by to check and they were open. Only 1 technician was able to make it in, the service advisor said it should only take an hour so I decided to wait. Ultimately it took less time than expected and I was very pleased with the service. Thanks a lot Philpott.
