Thirty years ago, it seemed like there were shops like Needham Press on every other corner. Nowadays, with so much scanning, printing and design power on our office/home computers (not to mention all those mail-order business card outfits with big TV advertising budgets), its tempting to say who needs a local print shop?Turns out, we do. For despite all that technology at our finger tips, sometimes what we really need is a human being who can solve our problems. Thats what I found at Needham Press. I had a seemingly simple need (Ill spare you the boring details) but it sure didnt look that complicated. Nevertheless, it could not be addressed by the half-dozen other shops I called and visited. (One tried gamely, but actually made my problem worse.)A few blocks down Chestnut Street is Needhams iconic Harveys Hardware, a place where they carry hard-to-find parts in stock and take the time to understand your problem and help you solve it. The best way I can describe Needham Press is that they are the Harveys Hardware of printing!BTW - forty years ago I worked in an in-house printing department for a big corporation. Take it from me, these folks at Needham Press know what they are doing. Beyond that, while technology has changed, outstanding customer service has not. They deliver on both.Ill be back.
