I truly wish I had read the reviews of this company before moving forward with having laminate floors installed at my moms. I didnt know they used Legacy Flooring, nor did I know anything about this company. However, I would not recommend ordering flooring from Lowes if you have to deal with this contractor. For a job that we were told would only take 2 days, it lasted a week. They would tell us they would be there at 9:00 and show up at 12:30. They told me they would prepare the floor on day one and lay the flooring on day two....it took them 2 days to prepare the flooring then 2 full days to install the laminate, that included a Saturday and a Sunday. I understand they are short staffed, just like everyone else. But...when you have a 12 year old show up as the help (his mom dropped him off), then he has to call his mom to come pick him up, I would think that would be a liability. On their last day there, we found a large wad of gum left in my moms bathroom sink. We had family taking off each day to be at my moms house during installation, therefore someone had to be there for a full week, when we were told 2 days. The installer immediately told us we had too much laminate and backer boards, not just a couple feet, but at least 25 feet too much. I took the remainder back to Lowes today and got a refund of almost half of what was originally paid. We had 7 of the large boards too many, so how are they that far off on their measuring?? While at Lowes, the worker asked if we were happy with the job, the actual job yes, the service was a big no. When we told him what happened, he didnt appear surprised at all. I received numerous phone calls from Legacy, and we played phone tag for several days. When I finally got ahold of someone, I told her what the issues were, she told me that there had been 3 crews assigned to my moms job, and all three were let go. I have no idea if that is true or not, but it seems Lowes would be more in tune with this contractor and the poor reviews. Legacy also told me they would have a district manager contact me for details, that has yet to happen. I dont feel like we should have been charged over $1700.00 labor when it took them a week to do the job, which was a fairly small area, and that was more than the actual supplies cost. I will never use Lowes for a flooring job based on our experience with Legacy Flooring.

As I write this it is going on 3 months from time of purchase through Lowe’s. A 6x6 closet and a staircase. The cancelled the first appointment. The second appointment they installed the wrong carpet and pad. After multiple attempts to get it corrected and rescheduled, the third attempt was cancelled. As I sit here for the fourth attempt the appointment was between 8-10am and it is after 11:30. I have been lied to multiple times by the employees of Legacy including their management. Do not use this company or Lowe’s for carpet installation. If you do you will extremely dissatisfied. No regard for the customer. I wouldn’t even give them one star but it will not allow me to rate them lower than that. Worst company I have dealt with in my adult life. Avoid at all cost.

I purchased carpet from Lowes 6 weeks ago. I scheduled my appointment for installation on the the day they came to measure. Here we are two days after the Scheduled date of install, two days of NO SHOW, with NO Carpet and no set: reschedule date. I have Contacted legacy flooring.... No one can help. I have Contacted Lowes...once again no one can help!. I would Hightly recommend NEVER using either establishment for flooring.

They came to our house to measure the room for Lowes. Then they ordered the wrong floors for our room. We waited 2 months for installation. When they came to install the floors, they ripped our carpet out of the floor 10 feet to confirm it was cement below (which we already told them). Then they left after shoving part of our carpet back under the trim. Now we will be living with our carpet that was just ripped out of the floor and starting over with a company that has respect for our home, and understands what type of flooring can be installed on cement.

The morning of installation they were a no show. They did not Call me to reschedule or anything and I had taken a full day off work for that. When I called them, they said they were finishing a job from previous day. So they weren’t even considerate enough to let me know they wouldn’t be there. They wanted to reschedule me TWO weeks out!!! I got my money back and hired someone else. Do not recommend. They don’t care about their customers at all.

Bought carpet for my entire house from Lowe’s. Had to wait 3 weeks for install and was told it was a 2 day install. I was assured that they could install in the rooms I chose. The day of install they showed up and installed everywhere but 1 room on each floor. After they left we got a call saying that they could not install in those 2 rooms because I had not cleaned them out. They changed my 2 day appointment to 1 day without any notice to me. Now I have to wait another week for 2 rooms. Don’t assume that what they are telling you is the truth. I would NOT use Legacy flooring. They’re a joke

Bought and ordered carpet for 3 bedrooms from Lowes. They set me up with Legacy flooring. I nice lady came to my house and took all measurements and details including furniture moving and removal of existing flooring. 2 confirmation calls from Legacy Flooring and on both calls I was assured that the installers would move the furniture all I need do was remove any fragile items which I did. Install day, one guy shows up without the carpet. Says he wasnt told about flooring removal nor furniture moving. Several calls between his manager Lowes and Legacy Flooring all to no avail. Do NOT use Legavy Flooring nor Lowes for your carpet installation.

Bought flooring from lowes and process went fairly good. Legacy flooring installed on the date scheduled but didnt have all the transition strips needed for the job. We have contacted them and lowes several times with no results. They set up times to finish but never show up. Lowes needs to find another installer. About to take legal action. Dont use these people!!!!

The carpet installers that I had did a great job, it is the call center and scheduling process that is horrible! I was scheduled to have carpet installed last Tuesday had gotten a confirmation call that they would be here between 9am and 11am. I sat around and waited, finally at 10:50am when they didnt show, I called the install office at the store, they called for me and said they couldnt do it that day! Furious We rescheduled for the next day, but we were supposed to get a snow storm and told the call center I knew they would again call me to reschedule. Sure enough that morning they call and reschedule for a day I have to work!. I rearranged my whole week of appointments, and miss work because if their lack of customer service! Legacy is a flooring company I will not use again!

Went to Lowe’s in November and ordered carpeting for my entire house to be installed January 2 & 3. My house is over 2000 sq. feet and it’s full of furniture. I spend New Year’s Eve and New Years Day with my husband prepping my house, taking apart furniture and moving it, etc. My entire house was dismantled. Get a call January 2 from Legacy saying they can’t do it this week, they’ll be here next week. I am incensed! We canceled the entire thing with Lowe’s and now I have to put the house back together with no new carpet. Lowe’s should be ashamed and so should Legacy.

First they schedule & you sit at home on the day waiting for the guy. Then you call 2 hours after start time & they say oh we over scheduled so we cant do you today. This is after the confirmation call the day before. Finally the guy shows up on the rescheduled day & acts like it is his first job. I called Lowes where I bought the flooring & had them come by & see the shoddy work the guy did. When I call to have Legacy come fix the problem, they want to send the same guy because he needs to learn from his mistakes. So I get a day scheduled, get the confirmation call & I call back to see if a supervisor is available to check on the guys work. Later I receive a call saying the supervisor should have been scheduled first & the flooring guy had surgery & wasnt going to be able to do my floor the next day anyway. Were they not going to tell him this until I call the next day wondering where he is? Poor Poor worse company to deal with in my experience. Plus they are out of North Carolina not a Missouri company. So hard to deal with.
