Best place to rent to own from. Very friendly people work there and very clean.
Clayton Homes in Neosho gave me the best deal on a home out of 4 different dealers. They were honest in all aspects of our deal. Also when we moved into our home, we relied on there customer service. We had a few minor issues that arose, which was not the fault of Clayton Homes, but they still backed us up with warranty work. We have had a wonderful relationship with Clayton Homes.
Wanted to look at a few homes, no one in the building wore mask except my husband and I, which in turn seem to make the gentlemen that was assisting us uncomfortable. We explained what we were looking for (older empty nesters here) his eyes seem to glaze over he retrieved some keys and walk out back door with us took 2 steps and stated he needs to stay in building to answer phones handed my husband the keys and turn and left us to track back to end of lot alone. When we return and handed off the keys we noticed 2 others in an office talking and laughing. They looked to be manning phones. Needless to say, Clayton Homes will not be the way we go.
Was in the process of buying a home, I personally had someone come out and quote for land clearing that would need to be done. To clear everything I wanted ( 3acre field for cows and a much bigger yard, widening the drive way for home to get in) and that was $3000 from him. Yes he was licensed and insured. When we started looking at the budget for the loan we were told its over budget. When I said okay do the bare minimum for land clearing to get us under budget I was told no it will take at least 5000 of not more.... I was being told that before they even saw the property. They are very friendly and will do whatever it takes to take your money. I am taking my money to value homes across the street. I will leave a review for them once I get things done, So look at them!! (They have nicer homes anyways)A reply to claytons response: that is correct but yall are the ones that send them the number. And Arron would not put less then 5000 down for land clearing.
We bought a home and from the research to the site placement - Morgan and Rusty were both fantastic and supportive. It was an easy process and everyone that has come to install it (site prep, movers, foundation layers, septic guys, electrician, trim guys, etc) were good, efficient, polite and skilled! I would recommend Clayton Homes Neosho to anyone who is looking for a new manufactured home. We ran into some issues (before closing) with the path to get the home to the site - so Morgan and Rusty worked with us to find a home that could be brought in and we ended up with a better home than we first picked out and I absolutely love the house! We were able to get everything we wanted - even a sliding glass door to the back yard from the master bedroom! Thank you to everyone at Clayton Neosho who had a hand in getting us the house!
Nice people. Very knowledgeable. Theyll even offer you a water. ♡♡
Great selection of homes to look at and walk through. Prices are reasonable to a little high. Employees are friendly and helpful. Quality of homes and options are pretty nice.
So we started the home process with Clayton in Lowell, AR around March of 2018. We decided not to buy at that time and build up our credit more. So after reading the bad reviews on the Lowell, AR office, We decided to try out the Neosho, MO location, towards the end of May 2019. The Staff was nice. There were a few homes that fit our needs that were nice. We ultimately decided on the one we wanted and got the process started, once the price was right for us.(This was the first time ever dealing with this process, as I have only purchased a traditional home before.) There was no check list of things that needed to get done, like having a deed recorded and a 911 address mapped out if placing the house on acreage, etc... We were not told by Clayton, about a $500 refundable deposit that the finance company needed to get started until I was in constant contact with the finance company, Vanderbilt and one of their reps let me know that they would be contacting Clayton to use the Deposit we put down...and I was like, what are you talking about? We were never told about a deposit. Then they let me know and then I had to contact the Clayton office to ask about it myself. Like, how much longer would it have taken on this process if I hadnt been the one to reach out and follow up with EVERYONE? Finally got that mess taken care of. The Financing end of it took long enough and we FINALLY got to close on Sept. 11, 4 MONTHS LATER. Here it is, November 4th, 2019 and we still dont even have the footers DUG. No concrete. Dont even know when the house will come in. (We thought we were getting the lot model, but apparently a new one was ordered, so that took longer. No body asked us if there were any different choices that we could make, like interior color wise or anything on this newly ordered home. We dont even know if we are getting the all vinyl flooring or the vinyl and carpet option. No one asked us.) So it has taken from May of this year to November so far, with us closing almost 2 months ago now. 6 MONTHS for this process. This is RIDICULOUS. I have busted my butt to get everything done on our end as quickly as possible and my husband, my kids and myself feel so let down when we were initially told that they would have us in the home by the end of AUGUST. I am just ready for our damn house to get where it is going to stay. I will NEVER recommend this process to anyone. It has been hell not knowing when your house will be here or even when you can move in! I am hoping by some MIRACLE, we can be in our home before Christmas because now we will have no THANKSGIVING in our new home this year, like we had planned. And I understand that things like weather can delay digging footers and pouring concrete. But we were told that it (digging the footers) would be done 6 weeks ago by the construction guy, himself! This is SO frustrating. I am trying my best to be patient, but after 6 months with no progress at the home site and electric poles cant be set until the house is set up and anchored, the plumbing from the well to the house cant be done yet. It can take the electric company 1 to 2 weeks to even get out there AFTER the house is set, then it has to get connected to the house. Then all of the trim and everything has to get done inside and a walk through for inspection until we can even get in the house! So unless you enjoy waiting and not having much communication from the home center about what the next process is, I would opt for a different method for buying a home. I only hope that things are done right when the house is setup and electric and water and septic are connected. We would 100% never go through this process again.
