Went for a re wire on my old telecaster. Owner is knowledgeable, honest, and friendly. Work was done extremely quickly and well. Shop was clean and by appt only so no distractions. I wouldnt hesitate and will be coming back. Highly highly recommend!!!😊

Erik has some great skills. He was right that my Taylor 812 DLX didnt need a setup at all, Just need a to acclimate to the weather a bit longer. He could have just done it for a quick buck, but instead built my trust and saved me money. I have him work on my guitars now and hell be upgrading the tuners on my Taylor T5z. The owner (and technician) is extremely knowledgeable and took his time to explain the modifications he recommended to get my D-28 in more playable condition. He had it finished the next day, and the guitar sounds like a whole new instrument—in fact, better than when it was new. The action is significantly lower and the guitar rings the way it always should have. The price was affordable and much less than I anticipated. Erik did a great job repairing a Rickenbacker 4003 bass that was brought to him recently. He actually diagnosed it while we waited and determined that the treble pickup was dead and most likely needed a rewind. The pickup had to be sent out to his pickup guy for a rewind which was done in a very timely manner and expertly done as well. The end result after Erik reinstalled the pickup and did a few wiring fixes was the killer tone that Rickenbacker basses are famous for was fully restored along with the cleaning and polishing Erik also did it once again looked as good as it sounded. Erik runs a very professional, organized guitar repair business and you get treated with a very personal touch there. You can schedule an appointment on his automated online scheduling system which is very convenient. Erik also sent us several e-mails letting us know status of the repair as it progressed. Thanks Erik and if any future repairs or upgrades are needed we will be contacting you.

This was the first time I did business with Guitar Repair Long Island. When I called, I explained the disappointment that I had with another local guitar repair services work and their poor customer service. Erik was extremely professional on the phone, and he set an appointment for me to bring in my guitar, for him to evaluate. He listened carefully to me as I described my guitar playing style and the concerns regarding action, playability, and general setup. I explained that my guitar action was extremely low causing buzzing of the strings, and the previous rich full sound of my Martin HD28E Retro was non existent and sounded dull. He agreed with me, and went to work on my new guitar with his technical experience and magic making all the fine, skilled necessary setup adjustments, installed new strings, and even polished my guitar. I only trust my guitars with Eric. If its an expensive Gibson or a Chinese import, Eric takes the time with my instruments and when I receive them back, they play and feel great. I once brought my vintage Les Paul Custom to one of the luthiers on Long Island who I was told was the very best. When I got the guitar back, it appeared that all he did was change the strings. I took the same guitar to Eric and when I got it back, it looked & sounded amazing. The action was perfect and the ebony fretboard & frets looked brand new. In my opinion, hes the very best.
