I met my sister, that is mostly in a wheel chair, and a helper there. Ellie on State St. cut my sisters hair and is a sweet young lady. I plan to go to her myself. She did a very good cut and style.

Workers seem to be bothered by your presence. Have been to this location several times and treated that way.

Kelly Rae is a Hogwarts witch CONFIRMED!!!! She took the most fried, dead hair and brought it back to life in only 2 hours. I look and feel so much like myself again I started crying. She and her coworker (I missed getting a name 😭) were SOOOOO friendly and encouraging, especially since I have self esteem issues. They were cheerleaders the whole way through. And Kelly even took the time to show me how to style it even though it was past closing. Bless the women artists who work here and if I wasnt moving, I would keep coming back. 🤭🤗

I hate to say it but the young girl who cut my hair had no business on the floor. She couldn’t do a simple fade and butchered my head. Very upset and will never return.

I always come to this location to get my hair done by Joanna and she always does an amazing job! I have never been dissatisfied with my hair when she does it. Shes a great conversationalist, takes her time while doing my hair, very patient and kind, and makes sure I am 100% satisfied with it before I leave. 10/10 recommend getting your hair done by Joanna, especially if youre thinking of getting your hair highlighted or colored! :)

I like this one at Hylander Point a lot more than the State St. One. I feel like they take more time with the customers. It was close to closing time the only time I went to the State St. Location, So maybe they were just wanting to get outta there. Idk.

Got an okay haircut here but its about 5 more dollars in every place else and the service isnt on par with the price

The girl who cut my hair the last time was fresh out of Prosser and got too impatient trying to comb out my hair so she stopped making the effort to detangle the strands she was cutting and after Leslie(who is actually great) told her to even my layers, she did on one side and got too impatient to even do the other side so for about a month my hair was terribly choppy and I hated it. Not to mention the fact that my hair is crazy long so if it gets messed up, I have to grow it out all over again. I now go to Atomic house of hair because they are amazing but I would still recommend Leslie at fantastic Sams because she still does a pretty good job. You can’t see in the picture how bad it really was but you can see the choppy part in the front.

Ellie and Heather were awesome! Asked questions and took time to understand what my daughter and I wanted and delivered great results! Also very friendly and enjoyable to be around!

I followed Kelly Rae Antico from the Scottsburg location to the New Albany location, because I was sooo satisfied not only by her work but how personable she was!!! She is an amazing hair technician but also has a caring heart and listening ear!!

Today was the 1st I have been disappointed with this Fantastic Sams. I was the 1st client in the door. It has been my understanding the 1st person in is the 1st one to be asked which stylist I wanted and what I wanted done. I just wanted a shampoo and stye. The manager checked in the lady behind me. She wanted a permanent.The hair stylist I got didnt style my hair like the picture I showed her. It was the exact same picture I showed to another stylist about a month ago when I got a permanent.My daughter is giving me an 80 year old birthday party tomorrow and Im ashamed of how my hair looks.I wont be back!!

The workers were rude, the one that worked on my hair did the very bare minimum. I wanted to look nice for my birthday dinner and my hair looks worse now than it did before I went in! They didnt even ask if I liked how it looked. She combed it after drying it and said it looked good and walked to the register. I will never go in there again.

I have never had a worse haircut. I dont know if the girl has her license or not. I had to come home and fix it. I showed others and they could not believe a barber left me that way. I asked her to fix it a little and she skimmed the sides with the clippers that had a guard to big to even try and do anything. I really do not think she went to school to cut hair. No way. They thought I tried myself. Do not go to her . If you do avoid the tiny one. Thanks craptastic Sams. $20 is not worth it at all. I should have waited for my normal barber.

This was my first time here. There were a couple of people ahead of us and only 2 hairstylists. However, they got everyone in and out quickly. Most importantly, they were so patient, very attentive and friendly. Leslie did a great job with my hair! I will definitely be coming back to this location.

Had to go in twice because the first girl messed my hair up & still didn’t leave with the ombré look I asked for. No blending at all, went straight from brown to blonde

All the girls that work at this location are very nice. Ive been getting my hair cut and colored here for years and Ive never had a problem. I can take in a photo of the cut I want and they match it. Great service. I usually decide at the last minute to get my hair done and all but one time theyve always been able to get me in right away.

A waste of money I have black hair a flat iron leaves black(my hair)straight from the root to the end i advised her to get closer to the root when combed you can feel and hear the roughness all i can say is its not as puffed as it was! I feel like crying i need the oil on my hair to flatiron it Im 80 yrs old Im sure I know black hair.....

All the young ladies at the salon have always done a good job. I even took my granddaughter in with very tangled hair, very tangled It was one of those situations where she finally agreed so we had to go with it right then before she changed her mind. The lady did a wonderful job putting my grandaughter at ease. She was gentle, letting her make the choices in length and style. The lady never seemed to mind all the tangles. She shortened and thinned my granddaughters hair. It has definitely made my life easier 😁 My grandaughter loves her hair now and keeps it combed herself. My grandson wont go anywhere else and he loves getting his hair washed and being pampered. I, also, get my eyebrows waxed here and they do a good job. Ive never had much of a wait either, quick service. Sometimes you earn ways to save money too. They will let you know if theyre are any ways to save. I always like to leave a tip because they do such a good job.

The hair salon that I have been going to for over a decade closed earlier this year, and I was unsure of where to go to get my hair cut. I keep my hair in a pixie cut now, and those are easy to mess up. My boyfriend said Fantastic Sams always does a good job with his hair, so I though, Why not? Im so glad I decided to go. Chantez did an amazing job, and took her time to make my super thick, unruly hair look perfectly clean and even! I will definitely be going back to her!

After a bad haircut at an expensive salon I decided to try this salon again. It had been a couple of years after the stylist I used left there. Chantez did a perfect cut and color. She listened to what I wanted and she nailed It! No more too expensive salons. This is a nice salon.

The whole crew is always nice & hospitable. It does help that Leslie is not only a good conversationalist, but she gives a pretty quality haircut as well.

Had the best stylists very friendly and didnt have to wait but maybe 5 to 6 mins to be seated. Had a wash and cut and had a great experience other than they wanted to charge me 6 dollars just to blow dry not style but just to get the wetness out of my hair. But whatever i still loved my cut.

Chantez was awesome! I have very curly dark hair and she helped me pick out colors for the first time. I had to have some hair bleached, then colored, washed, roller-wrapped and then combed out. She was great the entire time. Very funny with a positive attitude and you can tell that she knew what she was doing. She also stayed over past her time to leave to help a regular customer that came in. I am definitely returning here for future hair appts.

Aweful, awful haircut and I have important photos coming up. Im so unhappy. Ive been to this location and on multiple occasions before, gotten the same haircut and been satisfied. It is a good inch-in and half shorter than I wanted and the ends are choppy and uneven. It looks like a home cut job. It was supposed to he a simple blunt cut that comes just under my chin. It is above my chin and it looks awful. Dont see Joanna whatever you do. Shes inexperienced and she doesnt know what she is doing. I got that sense when she was cutting my hair and I wish I had just told her to stop. Further, Joanna failed to inform me that shampoo always comes with the cut and I wasnt saving myself any money by forgoing the shampoo. The manager will not give me my money back. It is apparently not Fantastic Sams policy to give returns when the job isnt done well. She said she will try and fix it if it is fixable but no money back. No in store credit no coupons. Just a sorry, maybe I can fix it. But because is it so short and so far from what I wanted it is virtually unfixable to my full satisfaction. Going to another stylist. Hopefully she can salvage it to some extent. I suppose its cheap yeah but you may be taking your life in your hands.

We tried semi permanent color at home...NEVER again! Chantez worked for four hours to remove and correct it. She was wonderful. The new color is gorgeous

VERY VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! Thought I would give this place a try.... The lady spent less than 5 minutes cutting my hair! Didnt trim around my ears, barely shaved my neck (with cheap clippers) then takes my cloth off and walks to the register??? No does it look ok?? Nothing??? Then charges me $17.50 . I couldve just hit my head with some clippers myself if thats all I expected from a haircut... I will not be returning to this establishment EVER!!! SIDE NOTE: They were not busy, she took me straight back when I got there, so it wasnt rushed for any reason except pure lazyness!!!

Wasnt satisfied with cut, first time happening there. Called next day and was told they could get me in to fix it. Went in and was told it would be a 45 minute wait, was expecting to go in, have fixed what I needed and leave. I was told sorry but there was nothing they could do first come first serve. Even though it was their mess up. I just woukdnhave handled it differently if i were on the other side. When i was in customer service, if there was an issue that came first. Upset customers usually dont return.This was something Id been looking forward to for a while, small luxury, few and far between. I will pay a little more next time for a better quality salon. Lesson learned

7/6/16...Why is it that no one knows how to cut hair? I said a trim. Bangs feathered at eye brows. Well I am pretty sure she didnt know what she was doing. Horrible hair cut. I could have cut it better myself. And my eye brow wax. What part of make sure they are straight and even because I cant see. 3 times I said that. No they were not. Got home had to go back. So mad. I will not go back. They do not know how to cut hair or wax eye brows. Go back to school girls because this is the worst hair cut I have ever had. I WILL NOT BE BACK OR RECOMMEND YOU TO ANYONE. This stinks.

Had my hair cut by Chantez, and I’ve never had a hair cut from someone who took so much time to make sure everything was done right and the way I wanted it! Definitely will be back!

I called to check how much a kids cut was and was told $14. I showed up and im told there is a 40 minute wait. An hour and 20 minutes later we are seen. When i go to pay its $20. I asked why and she says Because i dried it. Maybe its normal to tack on $6 bucks to blow dry hair but i didnt know. I wasnt given an option. Im so done with this place. I have been coming here for years for myslef. I havent been charged extra for drying my hair. Maybe Ive been hetting a deal. This was the 1st time i brought my daughter. While my stylist was nice and my daughters cut was fine, neither of us will be back.

Told me ten minute wait....forty minutes roll around and they are only half done with two old ladies chatting away doing hair curls and talking about drama. I got there at open. They allowed two customers to eat up an entire morning. Other customers came and left because of the wait. They either need more staff or divide the staff between short cuts and long cuts. I ended up leaving and taking my business elsewhere.

Very happy with my hair cut. Everyone was professional and courteous.

First time not satisfied with the services. Maybe new teams must be training better.

Update 11/2019:Another uneven cut that makes me look like a clown. See photo. I paid full price for that 8 minutes of nonsense. If your favorite stylist isnt there, its quite a gamble. I dont think Im willing to play the game anymore.Original Review:I highly recommend Kania.

I live in Louisville, but cross the bridge to have Lynzy cut and color my hair, always happy to do so. All the girls there are very sweet, some times I even take them treats.

Had a cut and they did a great job! Friendly staff and great service.

Lindsey ruined my hair. Four days later I went to have it fixed at another salon. They were horrified. It was uneven, choppy and even though I said to keep the length, she butched the back. It is so short, it will take forever to grow out.

The stylist didnt seem to care very much. She didnt spend much time on my hair and she cut it uneven. Was very displeased.

I went here last week to get a haircut before thanksgiving..And I told the hairdresser( who I believe was new) that I hadnt got my haircut for a year because the last hair dresser that cut my hair cut my bangs straight up the side! I told them this so they wouldnt make the same mistake! And what do you know I go home after getting it cut and blow dry it and the lady that had cut my hair cut my bangs straight up the side! I am not happy what so ever ! And now I have to wait and grow my hair out once again for it to look right! NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!!!!

Took my daughter to get her hair trimmed and fixed and they wanted to charge me an extra 20 dollars just to blow dry her hair, when last time I took her they did everything for no extra cost !! Very upset and will not be going back to this place !!

Service was awful. Had to wait 15 minutes (which I didnt mind) my hair was then cut and razored super short which is not what I asked for and then she sent me out the door with soaking wet hair. By far my worst experience getting my hair cut.
