We used the Honey Creme Donut Shop for our wedding and they were absolutely phenomenal! Andrea is the greatest and she did way more than she had to. After the sat up the cake she stuck around, she helped set up and she even made a trip for some of the things we forgot at home. She went beyond expectations to help make our day special. Also, everyone loved the donut cake, it was cute and delicious.

30OCT21 was likely my last visit to this establishment. Quality had been dropping over prior visits, but this one was the final straw.Front of the house employee was problematic from the get go with her eye roll upon seeing masked customers through her handling cash, then directly touching food. Although she used wax paper to pick donuts up from the case, she was using the back of her hand to push other product out of the way. Hygiene = Zero.The glazed twists were seriously beef jerky tough -- this is not an exaggeration, they were truly difficult to pull apart and almost couldnt be bitten through. They just kept compressing like a sealed foam stress toy.The pies were the worst. I ordered two coconut creme pies and a cherry pie. The creme in both coconut pies was burnt. One of them had around a teaspoon of filling and was inedible. I broke the cherry pie open and threw it in the trash untasted as I could smell that the filling was burnt.The mask issue was borne out in the end as when I was leaving she commented to the next customers that it was nice to be able to see smiling faces.

Fresh homemade donuts! They dont get donuts shipped in from some stupid factory, they make their donuts fresh every morning, and theyre hot soft sweet and delicious!!

One of my doughnuts was absolutely disgusting and the other was so stale i couldnt eat it. This used to be the absolute best doughnut shop.

Probably the most disgusting doughnuts I have ever had. Everyone of the doughnuts were stale and just disgusting. Like they were left out all holiday weekend and served to me.

I have been coming here since i was a kid. (1979 earliest i remember) I lived in Virginia and we would come visit my grandparents in New Albany and my dad would have to visit Honey Creme at least once for the Texas sized donuts. I have since moved all over and now live in Fort Wayne, but every time we visit family, i have continued that tradition where my kids now say we have to stop off at Honey Creme. It hasnt changed much at all and that sign brings back many memories. They have wonderful donuts and the staff is always friendly. I would absolutely recommend you giving it a try.

Genuinely the worst doughnuts I have ever had in my life. I have no idea what all the hype is about. We purchased shortly after the store opened and the doughnuts were already going stale. The slight staleness would have been forgivable if their dough wasn’t absolutely disgusting. It was like eating fried baking soda. A doughnut should not be salty.We purchased a half dozen barely managed to eat two of them, and immediately threw the rest away. I hate wasting food, but these doughnuts were completely inedible. There are so many amazing local doughnut shops in the area. Do yourself a favor and don’t go to this one.

If youre ever in New Albany and are looking for a good breakfast donut this is the shop to go they Beat Dunkin Donuts and the employees are very nice great place and a good Place to go get some donuts for you and the kiddos

Definitely not what it used to be. The flour they use is different for sure, the doughnuts have a different texture and are a little well different. I will say they are better than other local bakeries for sure. Man those doughnut prices here are definitely on the high side. Dont get me wong, I will gladly pay for a pretty penny for a good doughnut. But it needs to be a GOOD doughnut!

Ive been coming here since 1980 as I can recall and not much has changed except the staff and its a family affair. Good people and good stuff they make. They open at an insanely early hour;4:30AM. Youre doing yourself wrong if you get pastries at a gas station.

In my opinion, THE BEST donuts around. Ive grown up on these donuts and they are absolutely delicious, with a one of a kind taste. Staff is always friendly and helpful. You cant beat the experience of walking in here on a Sunday morning getting hit by that smell of fresh baked donuts and seeing all the boxes stacked up for local churches and organizations. Definitely a go to donut shop.

Great place been there for years. donuts are usually good and fresh. The entire staff including Miss Rosie is always awesome.

Went here on a friends recommendation. Ask for fresh or warm. We ordered 2 turnovers (fantastic) still warm 3 fritters, old and soggy. 2 long johns, one custard, one maple bacon. We threw the custard long john out. Bacon was more like salad real bacon bits, than fresh bacon.

I love this place. hot, fresh delicious donuts at an hour when everywhere else is still closed. I see some bad reviews that seem to be based on the user expecting big corporate butt-kissing, but this is a small, local owned shop, so sorry about your luck. they dont need your patronage anyhow.

Headed north out of L-vile we stumbled onto this gem of a bake/pastry/donut heaven. Intended to escape with one pecan swirl but folks, turn off your guilt switch and just go with the flow. Excellent pecan swirl, Rich and decadent cannoli, and...well everything else. Set your alarm, you can wear your Jammies but do go to Honey Cream for these treats made by people who love what they do.

This place was a regular stop on my way into NAHS 5 years ago and I still swing by every chance I get. I work in Louisville and everyone swears by Nords, but the first time I brought Honey Creme they changed their minds!

Donuts at the time were good. Didnt sell milk by gallons. This place is local family owned and bakes them at the location. Even has a back drive through and opens crazy early. They do put their hearts in it.

I have gotten donuts here several times, never had a problem .... Until today ! I had picked up a dozen for breakfast for 4 of my grandkids. They were AWFUL! Tasted like bacon grease! I called to complain and the girl said I could come back but the donuts would taste the same ... WHAT?? No offer to refund the $13 I spent! She said they were in the process of changing the oil Ive worked at restaurants it does not take very long to do ... Needless to say I will NOT BE BACK! Unacceptable response to a valid complaint

Best donuts Ive ever ate and one of the few places around that serves maple bacon donuts, theirs however is a maple bacon eclair I have not found anywhere else. Friendly staff, clean restaurant, decent prices.

I order the birthday donut for all my favorite people and they are ecstatic about the donut as big as your head. Honey Creme has made custom orders just to my liking. Disgusting... Got a dozen doughnuts that taste awful. Taste like old fried bacon grease. Greasy and the dough was stale. Called to get a replacement or refund and told they will taste the same no cash back... Wont be back so gross. The place is filty as well.

I cannot believe how great this place is, what a hidden gem. I just moved to New Albany and am so glad i found this place. When you walk in you are warmly greeted by an older lady (the chief) and her husband. And based on the price (cheap) i was skeptical, but wow! The best donuts I have ever eaten, I could not shove them in my face fast enough. And that should mean something because I’m usually not a desert/sweets type of guy. Definitely Recommend!

Im sure If i would have called them they wouldve done something (gave me more, or reimbursed me) but that has only happened ONE TIME & that is NOT going to stop me from going back !!!
