Extremely affordable Id say... The wait was fairly quick, as quick as it could be. Service is great as well... absolutely zero issues with getting exactly what we wanted to order. Now the parking lot is pretty small so I could imagine on super busy days you may have to be a bit creative. Best part of the walk is the boardwalk style walk right down the street, the seating is limited so maybe taking a stroll may be your best option or even sitting in you car. Id definitely recommend this place!

Lots of options, quick service. You gotta know on a hot day at certain times its mobbed. My biggest issue is parking. Lot holds maybe 15 cars. From there its park where ever and walk. That gets interesting after dark. Only had the ice cream, but they have food. Looked good(side eyed the guy in front of me,looked like a 2 hotdogs plate.) Was like 5 bucks. So price was good too

The ice cream really isnt all that special, just your typical soft serve. It certainly not worth waiting behind 50 people in line like there normally is. The saving grace of this place is the cherry candy dip they have. But the lack of a lot of seating and the location too close to the street make you want to eat in your car if you have small children running around.

After spending 15minutes looking at the menu, mentally creating the MOST AWESOME banana split, only to find out they were SOLD OUT of one of my topping..Having said that, and being TOTALLY DISGUSTED, I DID NOT have anything..Thanks for the reply owner, unfortunately, i will NEVER return to your establishment

They need better organization. This has been my favorite ice cream shop since childhood but I refuse to ALWAYS have to wait in an hour long line for an ice cream. Why not have a system ?? people wait in cars?? or online ordering ?? I gotta find a new place lol

Ive been going to place for a while. Its something you have to go to every summer to get ice cream. Staff is excellent and prices are affordable. Also I know the manager and staff so I can say they r very good people.

Got two soft serve orange sherbet and vanilla twist. First the color of the sherbet is so strange, it’s not like any other sherbet I’ve had so it’s super processed...... ended up tasting like it too, did not taste like orange sherbet but instead just extremely artificial....although I literally too two licks, with the second lick the entire top of the cone came off falling in between my seat and center console. What an absolute mess. Had they filled the cone with ice cream and continued to the top instead of just a round blob on top of the cone that wouldn’t have happened.

Best ice cream and frozen pudding in the city.A wide variety of flavors at very reasonable prices.they are open till 9 PM. Definately worth it

Nice little old fashioned sort ice cream place. Lots of options for ice cream and such. Limited food menu. Line is quick, fast workers. Had a hurricane. Never have been there. 16oz soft ice cream and to items mixed in. Had Oreo and m n m s. Will definitely go again. Near the water, nice light breeze tonite after rain.

Ive lived here for 6 years now. I tried this place for the very first time, because of a customer. Im a taxi driver. He wanted some ice cream & he wanted to get me some. Why not. Id heard nothing but good things about the place. They done good!!

The best ice cream place on town

Drove from 2 hours away to go here. The mint moose tracks was awful...there were brown chunks of ice in it that tasted like old fruit or something. Also the ice cream was not creamy. I should have stayed local and gone to Hayward’s. My friend got a s’mores ice cream and she said it barely had flavor. She ended up scooping out the ice cream and just eating the cone.

Nothing amazing... cheap on the toppings...

Always friendly and they are at a great pace to keep the flow moving. They truly help when a little one is having a hard time choosing. Love the flavors and the vast options including sugar free. This place is AMAZING and then head to the hurricane barrier walk it so completes the experience.

A perfect summer spot to get your ice cream fix, and its right next to the hurricane dike, a wonderful place to walk and enjoy Buzzards Bay while you eat your ice cream. Large variety of hard ice creams, solid selection of basic soft serve flavors, and they always come out with new specials and flavors every year. This is a staple for locals and a must for tourists.

Great hard and soft serve ice cream. Excellent selection (even some kooky things like unicorn ice cream for the kids) and fast service. It is cash only though so be prepared - a lot of seasonal businesses are. Prices are very fair and portions are large - a small cone is massive! Its worth every penny, and I highly recommend the ice cream here.

Dairy Maid has been a staple in New Bedford for many years and has the best soft and hard serve ice cream and serves food and drinks. My wife had a hot fudge Sunday and I had the banana split....it was like a meal. Fantastic spot to relax and enjoy a nice cold snack. Prices are not bad at all compared to other places we have been to. This place is always busy, so it MUST be good. The servers work hard and are very courteous. Well be back soon. Great Ice cream shop. Served soft serve twist, unicorn ice cream, ect. Not a bad view of ocean and board walk is right their if you want to walk and eat.

Good ice cream

A nice place to stop while going for a drive. It has an awesome view of the ocean and climbing the rocks there is always really fun. The ice cream and food is always really well put together and the service is great.

Mmmmm....I guess for those who love ice cream is a good place. The smells that come from every direction dont really match with the taste of the ice cream. its an ok place, but there are better places that are really authentic.

Both of my kids grew up on Dairy Maid...not to mention myself, but we did live in Acushnet & were blessed w/both Yvettets & Frates Bottle right down the hill. But DM was always a treat, my youngest was obsessed 🥰

Always a great place for ice cream. Soft serve. Hard flavors. Climb the rocks. Hit or miss with lines, but they do move quickly, and the prices are the same as everywhere else.

I ordered ice cream and hot dogs ate my ice cream and waited over 20 minutes for my hot dogs when the kid started asking me what I ordered it apparently wasnt in his register even tho he charged me correctly and gave me my change. Worst part was leaving me there for all that time while trying to figure it out and not telling me he had an issue.

Ice creams great, they have a soft serve and sherbert twist. Service is good, lines move quickly. Just lots of bugs/beetles at night at the counter, they should have some type of repellent.

They have both, soft and hard ice cream. Ordered a medium soft venelia and chocolate twist, in a cone. They put a LOT of ice cream. Plus, its delicious.

I love this place, its small but plenty of parking, its affordable without sacrificing quality, and the service is super friendly.

My two favorites are the orange/pineapple and the banana!
