I recently moved to New Bern from New York. Soon after arrival bought a higher end MacBook Pro, installed the Monterey update and was faced with a computer that wouldnt boot up. University PC Care was recommended. Thankfully, Steve was able to reload firmware which solved the issue in a timely professional manner. Now back up and running. Really glad that UPCC is available in such small city. I wont hesitate to return there for other Mac related needs.

Our MacBook Pro screen went blank and we needed to get the data moved. What appeared to be an easy process, was in fact, more difficult without the right equipment. I was told by one organization that my problem could not be resolved. Taking it to UPC was the right approach as they were customer oriented, quick, and appropriately priced. I highly recommend them and will use them for future issues.

While the staff in the New Bern location was very friendly, I am not sure they were much help in repairing my laptop. The laptop stopped working after a Microsoft update. I kept getting error messages that my Microsoft Account was not available every time the laptop booted up, and the PC would not allow me access to any of the Microsoft applications. It also booted up into a mode where most of the other applications on the laptop were inaccessible.The technicians at University PC Care had the laptop for about a week and finally determined that correct the problem, they needed reload the Windows operating system. The laptop was supposedly fully backed up before they did that, but when I got the laptop back it was missing all of the applications, and a huge number of very old files were all on the desktop. While the PC was missing all of its Windows configurations settings, and all of the other applications, it was working again.I called back to see if University PC could reload my applications and configuration settings from the backup file they created so the PC was back to normal again. They told me there would be a $60.00 charge to reload my applications, which was fine by me. After about a week, I was called and told they were unable to reload my applications, and the PC was ready to be picked up. When I arrived at the store, the technician was very polite, but was not the technician who had worked on the PC. He observed that the Firefox and Chrome browsers had been installed, along with a setup link to Microsoft Office 365, but there was nothing else on the PC. Obviously there were no bookmarks for both browser, and the Microsoft Office suite that had been on the PC was Office 2013 - not Office 365. He also noted that none of the Windows settings (e.g., admin account, laptop name, password, preferences, etc.) were restored.The technician explained that even though they were unable to restore anything from the backup file they had created, he did not have the authority not to charge me for the return of my laptop. I had to pay the $60.00 to get my laptop back even though it was essentially in the same condition it was when I gave it to them. I am now rebuilding the PC from scratch, and my biggest problem is finding all of the software license authorization codes for software that had been on this laptop for years.As I could have reloaded Windows myself, and been in the same situation without paying the $192.00, I am not sure I would use University PC Care again.G. I brought my son’s laptop in for fan installation. The computer would not boot up after installation. I called and the CSR was very understanding and stated the tech should have checked the computer before giving it to me. He asked that I return the laptop because it was covered under warranty. I bring the laptop back and was told it was an hardware issue and it would cost another $400 to repair, now mind you I paid $120 for the fan installation and I bought the fan. Total rip off!!! Will never use their services again!!!

The work on the PC was great, the price was good, but I kept getting satisfaction surveys before anything had been done. Just a little cork they may want to look into.

I dont recommend anyone coming here, I brought in my computer and showed them a video of my computer glitching. They werent able to fix my computer and didnt bother sending it to apple and still charged me $60 for no reason.

Late one evening, my 13 day old Air3 iPad inexplicably stopped working. I spoke with Apple Support and they gave me the option of mailing it back to them or taking it to University PC Care, which I did. University PC checked it over, and handled returning it to Apple for replacement. When my new iPad was received, the technician even began the setup and restore for me (he was thwarted by an update, however). Both visits were quick and efficient.

Many thanks to Cody in New Bern for knowing exactly how to fix my MacBook Pro. He was friendly, competent, and knowledgeable. I am happy to have access to local professionals who both appreciate Apple computers and who do not make me feel foolish when something goes amiss. Thank you, Cody!

The staff at University PC Care-New Bern are awesome!! I went in to the office the day before I left to go on vacation with a damaged screen. I was told to return the next day and they would get my screen repaired for me prior to me leaving for my trip. I showed up at 12:00 pm (as instructed) I received the notification my phone was ready to be picked up just 2 hours later. The staff also checked into my phone insurance and apple care. My phone repair was covered under my apple care warranty!! I highly recommend them!!

Customer service at least at the New Bern location needs some attention. I will give the management team in Greenville a 5 plus for contacting me immediately after a not so pleasant encounter and rectifying the communication. I believe this company is professional and I hope to experience their expertise in computer knowledge. Make sure you let owners know where they are falling short. They cant fix it if they dont know.

Quick pleasant service to replace battery; however, we looked at the phone out of the case when I dropped it off because i had a question about a possible crack at the top of the screen which he assured me it was in the film cover. He looked very closely at the screen for other cracks and there was no other damage but when I picked it up they showed me a big crack at the bottom of my screen which we would have definitely seen! Then they acted like it was already there when i dropped it off. I was in a big hurry because it was Friday am day of hurricane dorian. I didnt have time to argue the point with them. Make sure you note any and all damages IN WRITING prior to leaving your phone there! If they damage it they won’t admit it. Do not appear to be honest folks which concerns me as they have my data now. Not happy.

My passcode didn’t work on my iPhone that I’ve had for years took it here and had be back in in a matter of minutes kody was very informative and walked me through everything have any problems with your apple stuff highly recommend this place

Quick and friendly service. Had to turn in my MacBook for the battery recall on mid 2015 MacBook Pro 15in with Retina display.

After several years of happy use (and several iOS updates) my Mac started to get REALLY sluggish. University PC (New Bern) tried cleaning up years of clutter which only made a marginal difference and then suggested that my old drive was probably the culprit and a solid state drive could work wonders. For a FRACTION of the cost of a new machine they installed a new drive and some additional ram... BAM... totally new life to my older machine! I could not be happier nor recommend University PC more. They were patient with a frustrated computer user, professional and friendly through the entire process. THANKS!!!

Good quality work for the DVDs that I had copied. Confusing protocol about where to pick up and when the job was complete. Working in tandem with a store in Greenville. Grateful I dont have to drive to Greenville anymore when I want a VHS or DVD duplicated.
