My service yesterday was no less than impeccable! When dropping my vehicle off I immediately knew I was in good hands. After the inspection was completed, I received a phone call. Everything was explained in detail, which gave me the confidence to complete everything that was recommended for my vehicle. When picking my vehicle up, I was greeted with welcoming smiles. I will never take my vehicle ANYWHERE else after experiencing such professionalism and unmatched customer service! Incredible customer service! I scheduled a free inspection due to some minor shaking in my car. There was next day appointment availability and minimal wait upon arrival. The entire staff were friendly and attentive. Wes was absolutely amazing in explaining repairs from most urgent to those that can be postponed. He is highly knowledgeable and obviously passionate about his craft. I highly recommend!!!

Very efficient system. I made appointment on line. Handed my key to the technician and when alignment and oil change were complete I received a text with a link to pay on line. And all this time I only thought they did brakes! I will be coming back again for any service they offer!

This was my first time going to Brake Check, though Ive lived in NB all my life.The folks were both professional and friendly, going so far as to use my name when interacting with me. Their systems made everything easy, showing me the different prices of my options and what they were. However, the systems were obviously not a crutch for the employees, who were able to answer my questions quickly and simply (Im a simple fellow).I decided to use their text/call service, since I had to attend to some business at a nearby store, and I believe that it is what solidified my rating as a 5.The text system not only updated me on the progress of my vehicle, it showed me what I was getting, other services they recommended, the price of other services, and how much they recommended the other services. (Recommendations when from Green to Yellow to Red, depending on how bad the part was) Additionally, if you didnt know what a service was or why it was needed, they included a short video explaining why the recommended the service. It was very helpful, as a person who doesnt know a whole lot about vehicles.The only bad thing about their system is that less tech-savvy folks may have problems navigating it, but I have no doubts that their employees would be able to walk them through whatever they needed to know.The text system also allowed me to pay online via my debit card, which was an added bonus.By the time they pulled my vehicle around, my payment had gone through so I was able to just hop in and drive off.In short: Great Service, Great Employees, Great Systems.P.S. There is only one thing I could possibly knock them on, and it is so nitpicky that I decided against putting it in the main text. That being the sticker that showed when I needed the next oil change was placed almost halfway down the side of my windshield. This is hardly a gripe, more of a peeve. Anyway, theyre great.

5-Star Service!!! I got stranded in my Land Rover with a blown radiator at HEB, and AAA said it would be a 3 hour wait for a tow. So, I walked over to Brake Check at 5pm on a Sunday, and Alex and his team took care of me right away! They ordered parts and fixed it the next day. Saved me an arm and a leg at the Land Rover dealership. These guys are honest and efficient. Really helpful on a rotten day.

Called for an appointment to get an alignment done and was told they would do it the same day. I dropped my truck off around 9:00 am and received a text with a link to view the inspection, what was wrong and how much to fix it. I approved the repairs and my truck was ready by 2:00 pm. Great service and a great value. I will be using Brake Check in the future!!!!

This store let me know they care personally about the people who have service with them. I imagine its more like knowing you as well a the person doing the most important care for your vehicle. They made me feel better about the work we all need regularly on our cars. It felt like a small community business, a plus in our growing community. So I’ve used them before and had experiences but it’s been a few years. Had an appointment today at 1500. When I called around 1730 they told me they had fallen behind for the day and it was going to be later to get me done. I was expecting tomorrow, but around 2100 they called and informed me they had stayed late to get my alignment done and my front end checked out. I was extremely surprised. I will definitely use them again for future projects as the service was great and they went way past my expectations.

After 85000 miles, my vehicle was definitely due for brake service, so I visited Brake Check in New Braunfels for the first time. I must say, I was impressed with the knowledge of the people and the speed with which they took care of everything. I also got an under-the-car tour while it was on the lift which was both educational and nice to know since thats a view you dont usually get, trying to crawl under it in the garage. So, several things were pointed out to me, the service was explained, and a little over 2 hours later I was out of there with nice smooth brakes, an oil change, and a now straight steering wheel from the alignment. Kudos to everybody!Update to previous post - car performed great in a mini vacation, but as we got home, it developed a leak in the brake system and had to take it back. Apparently some unfortunate event allowed the tire to contact a part of the flexible brake hose, causing a tear and subsequent loss of fluid. Wes and his crew got on it right away and had it fixed early the next morning. I appreciate a company that stands by its work, when things happen that are unexpected. Still very happy with the quality of the work, and the willingness to set things right as necessary.

Even with low staff they worked hard to get me in as soon as possible and try to work with you. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend! I always use Break Check for my oil changes.

Wes took great care of my daughters car when we were having some problems with the brakes and alignment. He took the time to clearly explain to me what all was going on with the car and helped take care of a few other little problems he saw as well. Just a real easy in and out experience; in a word - efficient

Super fast and friendly service! I had made the incorrect appointment online and the desk manager was super helpful in helping me get the right service I needed, and how to book appointments if necessary (turns out, oil changes are just a drive-up service). I was quoted about an hour to get it done, and they were done in less than 40 mins. I needed a few filters changed out, and since Im on a super tight budget, they were able to apply different discounts to help me stay within my budget. Before doing any extra work, the mechanic went over the diagnostics with me, complete with photos. I 100% recommend this shop to anyone needing the types of services they offer. Plus, theyre right next to HEB so I was able to grab a quick lunch while my car was worked on!

The manager their is a good leader for his employees a very hard worker while he takes care of all the customers answering phone calls and there needs then goes out their and works on the cars himself he needs a raise along with a good vacation with his family after working 85hrs and more a week..thanks guys awesome service Ill definitely be back again and send more ppl your way.

Hands down the quickest, and most efficient, experience I’ve had getting work done on my car. I had a broken CV joint and they had me out of there in exactly an hour. No signs of faulty execution, car runs perfectly and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the work done.

My visit to Brake Check for an oil and filter change for my Ford F150 PU was not rewarding the morning of 7-12-2021. I felt it would most likely be to my great benefit over using the local Ford dealership when using Brake Check as their advertising of 50% off for a subsequent oil/filter change service was a no brainer. Makes sense to save right? Well to my disappointment I feel this :come on advertising lured me in as when I went to settle/pay I was very surprised at the amount for the service (of course I assumed it would be comparable to the Ford dealership charges). When told the amount, I challenged that it was far TOO MUCH for this service, as I had never come close to paying that much for the 10 years Ive owned the PU. The response was that I chose full synthetic 5W20 and it is expensive. WOW, my last service at the Ford dealership was $59.09 versus the $94.31 (which was reduced by $10 the check in person told me he was awarding me for my asking for a discount of first time use on this vehicle!) Brake Check wanted. This was 60% more than going to the Ford dealership. Now if I get 50% off on my next service, assuming these charges are used, I will have spent more to my chagrin. It is obvious I got myself into this situation by not asking at check in what the cost was going to be. So I take all the blame. Let this review be a HEADS UP to future Brake Check users.

I have had to bring my car in for different issues 3 times in the past 6 months. I also have brought in my Husband and Daughters vehicles for repairs, every single time the Customer Service here is the absolute best Ive ever received. Wes is always very thorough and goes above and beyond to get my vehicle on the road again. He is extremely kind and funny but very professional and gets me in and out super quickly but also giving me top notch quality work with very fair prices. I have never found any establishment mechanic, or otherwise that has checked every single box untill now. Brake check is by far the best place to have your vehicles maintained/repaired where you can trust that you are in great hands and wont be ripped off. I recommend this location 💯% to everyone.

Holy cow! That was the best oil change experience Ive ever had! Those dudes are hilarious, thorough and their app is super high tech. They have an awesome 50% off every other oil change deal too. This is a no bull place that does a great job. Im sold! Oh, and in and out lickety split.

I had brake issues with my car and brought it to Wes at Brake Check. They did a phenomenal job at a great price compared to a lot of other shops I’ve been to. Now I take both my vehicles here for not just brake issues but oil changes as well. Every other oil change is half off and you can usually find a coupon to get the full price oil change a little bit cheaper. Wes is a good dude who will take care of you and if it’s something they don’t do he’ll point you to the right shop to get what you need. Good people working at this place, I will always go here!

The people that work here are very personable, but more importantly they explain/show you what they are doing to your car before asking if you would like them to fix said problem. Came in for alignment touch up and during their inspection the noticed extreme wear on my lower ball joints.I had them replaced a few days later. I have been going to Brake Check for many years, I have also been to the one in Schertz when we lived there. I have been through a few managers Wes the present manager seems to know his stuff with over 20 years of knowledge. At this time I’m happy with the cost of doing business, sometimes the repairs take a little longer than anyone wants. I think that shows how busy Wes gets which tells you a lot. If people felt differently then they wouldn’t be busy. So far so good, trust me folks I prefer writing about how some businesses shouldn’t even be in business.

I has previously went to a B.C. location in San Antonio and felt rushed though the process. And while driving home from Break Check in SA my Honda was still Pulling to the right. I took my car in the next day to the New Braunfels location and they not only went over everything on the car they also talked me through the alignment process and the car drives straight as an arrow now. I stopped in to get an oil change and tire rotation. The professionalism and service I got was outstanding!!! This is definitely my new go-to place for my mechanical needs!!! I love that I can get a half price oil change!!!

So...I was told they were using Valvoline oil... just to find out afterwards they were using Service Pro (not made by Valvoline). Not saying Service Pro is bad.... just want the truth up front. Second, I asked when I should have the next oil change and he tells me after 5k. Well, 5k is the service manual recommendation for regular oil. I got full synthetic.... after looking it up at home it varied between 6k and 10k. I know the more often I get my oil changed the more $ they make... but dont tell me to change the oil at regular oil mileage after I pay for Full Synthetic. Ill probably go back... but you gotta watch the oil they are going to use and dont rely on them to tell you when to change the oil. Do your own research... All that said... they were fast and lobby was clean.

I Brought my truck in for a break service and repair a while back. They misdiagnosed my truck and after 6 hours in the shop, my truck came out exactly the way I brought it in. They put new rotors on which were warped so I had to leave it at the shop. I came back the next morning after they said they were gonna put another new set of rotors which were also warped. Poor quality service and business by GERALD after spending money for nothing. Definitely Won’t being doing business with them again. I took my truck to The Friendly local Break solutions in new braunfels the following week and they fixed it up within 3 hours for half of the price that I paid at break check and my truck came out perfect.
