Didn’t actually go in because I wanted to make sure they had what I was looking for tried to explain to the lady that answered the phone what I was looking for and since I wasn’t sure of the name or the pronunciation she straight up laughed at me when I tried to say it and when I told her I was calling because I needed help and did not know the name she didn’t even try to help while still laughing she just said I don’t know. I told her that I didn’t think it was funny because that’s why I called for help. I mean if she doesn’t know her merchandise how does she expect me to know it. So unprofessional! Plus never mentioned her name when she answer the phone. Now I don’t even want to go in store.

Wanted to like this place, but cant. They refuse to outright tell you a price for materials, you have to ask for an estimate for the full amount of materials. Im not sure if this is standard practice, but it is not ideal or useful to me. Also, I was told they do not carry standard framing lumber, just treated wood, and at a significantly higher price than big name home improvement chain stores. Overall better suited for large contractor business and not a friendly experience for diy/hobby/small businesses.

Brought in a list of items to build a 2000sqft house. Total bid price was around 15k. They were cheaper on about 4.5k of material. I asked to purchase only the 4.5k of materials. They said no, all or nothing. They could have made the $4.5k sale, but wouldnt budge on the all or nothing. I took my business to the big blue box store, they were about 1k cheaper overall. I wanted my $$ to go to a local small business, but they didnt care to make the sale. Staff was nice.

I detest big box stores and do everything I can to shop independent locally owned businesses. After visiting Eberhard today I dont think Ill be a repeat customer. Service was ok, young man in the yard did a good job. Prices were a little higher than elsewhere but Id rather give an extra 2-3 bucks to a local guy. Problem was with the quality of the lumber. I paid for #1 and calling it #1 was a stretch. Id suggest taking a good look at the lumber and if it doesnt meet your needs then go elsewhere.

I dont know what other people are talking about but their service is incredible and everybody at the front desk is very friendly and have been for years. Ive been a loyal customer for many years.

I have done business with Dennis and Diane for over 40 years. My dad, one of the first subdivision developers in New Braunfels, did business with the Eberhard family for decades. No one can question their integrity and the service provided by their entire team is top-notch.

They failed to mention that they have a 25% restocking fee on returns, and they said it would take 3-4 weeks to get my return posted. I would not order from them unless you are completely sure you will not return anything. The cabinet hardware I ordered did not look good on my cabinets, and you cant tell that in the store.

They are very expensive! To make matters worse, most of their employees are unfriendly and rude. Shelly stuttered around and couldnt answer any questions I asked. When a manager came to assist her, she was unfriendly as well. Its sad that a local company acts this way.
