A nice Halloween themed store in New Braunfels, TX. The storefront seemed not quite big enough to hold all of the merchandise, which speaks to the variety. There were standard masks and costumes for all age groups and many decorations and props. Neat place. We picked up some gimmick socks for fun.I would recommend visiting this place before the season ends. The staff seemed friendly and helpful.

LOVE this store! So happy to see a costume shop open in March. They have a very large assortment of items! Ranging from katanas, oracle cards, costumes, masks, jokes, and more! Huge selection! Will definitely be back!

Kool little place with everything you could want

Went to the Mermaid Festival in San Marcos, TX today, sporting one of my favorite wigs. Bought this at FreakyFindz about 4 years ago in New Braunfels and it’s still just as amazing as it was day one. This wig never fails to get compliments and I love the way it makes my eyes look greener! I wear it about once a month (lately more). ***This particular wig can still be order by FreakyFindz if you want the look for yourself.*** Thanks to Sam for suggesting I try it on all of those years ago.The staff at FF are always helpful, edgy and informed. Went to the SM location (in the outlet mall) today for the first time and all four associates were very helpful, especially the blonde with dark roots and glasses. I was looking for horns and nothing was quite right out on the floor. She showed me the several locations where horns were kept, but none were quite right for the dragon cosplay I am planning. She recalled seeing some in the back and went to find them, they were absolutely perfect! Exactly what I was looking for! The SM location is wider has a more open layout than NB. I think the NB store actually has more product, but it’s tough to tell. Both locations have a huge range of costumes, accessories and fun stuff (toys, bags, tarot cards, magnets, socks, plushies, makeup, etc..) and are brimming with product.I love these stores and recommend them to cosplayers and anyone who loves a themed party. They are open year round, so you don’t have to fret if it isn’t the Halloween season. When I lived out of state I always made sure to stop in here when visiting. They have great hats, masks, and props that could be used to make epic photo booths or even for table/counter decor. Bottom line you have to visit this place. (They also always have good intel about fun local cons and various events in town and nearby, usually posted in their windows.)

The best place ever!! Probably some of the nicest employees youll ever meet! They were super nice and even gave me compliments on my outfit, they dont mind chatting with you but of course, keep it small. Personally, it was like wonderland for me as a horror fan!! Definitely recommend and will definitely go again!!!

Halloween and costume store. They have some neat stuff.

My review is not for this location but for the San Marcos outlet location. Since there is no way to leave a review for it, I will here. We have always enjoyed going to freaky findz, but as we walked into the store we was abruptly stopped by a store worker as she blocked us from coming all the way into the store. She reached for my wifes small purse and said I will take this for you. My wife said excuse me but no. The store employee then said there are signs saying no bags and you must give your bag or purse and they will give you a ticket to give it back when you leave. My wife said no thanks and the lady said well you got to leave. First off this is a very very small purse, 2nd who in their right mind would give a stranger their purse with all their personal info and items inside? This is truly a major let down. We will not be going to this location ever again.

San Marcos location in the outlets treats you like a criminal as soon as you enter store. They wanted to check your bag or purse as soon as you go in the door. Will never go back or shop here. This place clearly doesnt trust its shoppers, if they are that concerned with shop lifting they clearly need to have better customer service. I could have bought every thing in the store if I wanted to and would have been a customer if they had not treated me like that. Bad way to greet customers. Maybe I need medicine in my bag or have thousands of dollars I dont want to just leave with the person at the door. I have never and will never shop lift and I dont like being treated like I already did. Change your policy if you want to stay in bussiness.

An amazing costume/Jewelry/Geek/gift shop. The shop is packed full and it is difficult to see everything in one visit, but I tried.The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. If they dont have it, they offer to hunt it down and get it for you.The jewelry finds are incredible and nick-knack gifts wont be a problem any more. Im sure theres something for everyone there, but there was plenty for me and my friends.Reasonably priced and some discount and clearance items.Be sure to talk to the staff. They are very nice and know their stuff.

So happy I found this store. 110% better to come in and try things on instead of ordering online and hoping it fits. Please come in, you wont be disappointed. Great selections of childrens costumes as well. Sandy was the staff that went out of her way to assist me. I am so happy I made the drive from San Antonio !

The New Braunfels location doesnt have those issues and its annoying that people are giving bad reviews for this location when they arent the ones like that!

We were just there today and were followed by a male employee the whole time. We started being followed as soon as we walked in, so obviously we were judged only by appearance. Extremely uncomfortable for my family and I, so we decided to only buy one small item and shop elsewhere. Even worse he just stood nearby as we checked out as if we were going to run out. What a shame we drove all the way over here just to be treated like this. First and last time there. This review is for the San Marcos location.

I came in the store today unclear of what I wanted my friends and I to wear on my birthday party celebration. Something like bunny or cat ears. Hannah immediately offered her help and showed me around the store. She was very helpful!! She showed me many options. Ideas that I hadnt even thought about. I walked out with 10 jeweled cat ears and will be back for a wig. Thank you Hannah!

Bought a small skeleton on Sunday. They gave us a coupon for 10% off nxt purchase. At the time they had a posable 6ft skeleton that showed the price was $37 and it was on sale for 25% off. We came back in today and they say that the $37 was WITH the 25% and we couldnt use our 10%. This store false advertises

This is the perfect place to get a costume for children and adults for Halloween. The store had every accessory for the costumes. The customer service was excellent and the located every piece that was needed for the costumes. They also have an excellent toy and candy section. Everything is unique in this store and they have a great selection of different items that are not sold locally anywhere else.

The store was incredibly overwhelming to me. I guess there was some kind of method to of organization that employees could follow.. but it was extremely hard for an outsider. I’m not sure if this was due to the Halloween season or if it always looks like this. I really did try 2 times to find something but got overwhelmed both times. I ended up ordering from the big popular Halloween store. I wish I could have given this store my business but it was just impossible to calm my nerves and find something.

Ive been coming to this store since they first opened up on the other side of the strip mall a few years ago. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Den the owner is amazing and knows his craft. I always stop in when ever Im in the area even if I dont buy they have a year around of selections and cool nerd/pop culture items for any party event.

Very unprofessional. Day before Halloween and the opener decides to be late. Been waiting 50mins to get my layaway out and I live and work 1 hr away. Very disappointing. Even the poor staff is locked outside

Sam is amazing. My son wanted a super specific costume that is not mass produced in youth sizes. She took our number and called, and worked above and beyond any job description and tried to find him the costume. They ordered two costumes for him to try, neither of which fit. She walked the store with him, helping him work out other specific ideas. This is the only place I will take my kids for costumes from now on. Thank you Sam!! You deserve a raise and all of the praise!!

This place has the best assortment of very detailed and unique masks Ive ever seen in one place. A large selection of costumes. The best makeup selection. And my favorite jewelry from Alchemy of England. And the best part is they are open year round!

Go here for all your gear. The SMTX Mermaid Ball is tomorrow and they nailed it. The help was so helpful they new where everything was and how to put it together. Even my budget wasnt a problem. If your a DYIer they know make-up.

Fantastic stuff you cant find anywhere else! Its amazing the variety of items they can fit in there. Its the only place you can find high quality wigs and retro toys within 50 feet of each other. Also, the staff is super friendly and accommodating.

Has many many costumes! Its a bit claustrophobic in there, with so much stuff crammed into a small space. But if you have time its fun looking at all the costumes, masks, props, etc. that they carry.

The staff was very friendly. Walked around the whole store with ease even with my baby in a stroller and my other kiddos. The store was stacked with tons of costumes, realistic masks, and props for all ages. They had Halloween make up sets. I fell in love with a rare pennywise voicebox doll and decided to get one for my nieces bday and one for myself. Luckily they had a few more in stock in the back since the one I saw was on layaway. Yup they also have layaway!! They said the store is open all year!! Which is amazing since Im always struggling to find stuff for my kids school dress up days like Cat in the Hat Day and Rodeo Dress Up Day and now I have a place to get everything I need at a moments notice. Will definitely be going back!!

Had been in search of a costume store that carried a variety of quality mask and costumes. These days there are more seasonal stores that carry low quality products, unfortunately there are so many around every corner this time of year.My girlfriend happened across his store through their website and had mentioned some of the mask that were available, once I had seen what was posted we made the small trip to see the store in person. Nothing compares to the feeling of walking into a business that has captured the true spirit of Halloween with a huge selection of great mask, new and classic, an essence missed of seasons long ago. The staff were more than helpful, and the owner was very knowledgeable, more so than I could have imagined, even had a few stories to go with some familiar costumes from infamous monsters and killers from the movies I grew to love.Our visit to the store was more than exceptional, and we will definitely be back soon again, especially since they are open year round.So to cut it simple, if youre lookin for a local business that has some great product for your costume needs, I highly recommend Freaky Findz. Hundreds of selections at decent prices. Theyve been in their new location for a year or two now and I still dont think Ive seen everything in the store. They even have a great selection of wigs, and Im not just talking about the everyday Halloween stuff. I mean the fablous BLUE, WHITE, RED, PURPLE and so on. They also have great jewelry cases with some really nice (gothic) stuff, and have started expanding their mens/womens corset section.
