I wanted to go to this bakery to see what Polish food and sweets look like. Very nice inside. I was attracted to there fresh pastries and cakes. Store also sells fresh bread, spices and more. I definitely recommend it.

Easy to find in New Britain, with a large selection of Polish foods including different cheeses and beers. They had a big deli. section with fresh meats and cold cuts. Fresh breads and rolls were also available.

I was so happy to try this place for the first time but I was disappointed with what I got. I bought a cake from the display. Woman working the bakery counter said it was a chocolate cake. There was fruit on top and I asked “there’s no fruit inside, right?” And she said no just chocolate. This cake is for my stepdads birthday who hates fruit cake. Cut it at home and it’s vanilla, pineapple, chocolate, and strawberry on the inside. Not to mention dry. The combination of pineapple and chocolate was disgusting. Don’t know if I’ll be back.

If you want anything sweet but not too sweet check out the roly poly bakery in New Britain.Its very easy to find and the people there are very congenial.Theres also a bounce play place there too take the kids not in the same place but in the same area

A wonderful Polish/European store that includes a bakery, meat and cheese case, dairy case, isles of Polish goods like beets, sauerkraut, lots of great candies. The meat case has loads of cold cuts, sausages and pate. The cheese case has a nice selection Polish and other cheeses. There is a case of prepared food that is ready for take out. They also have a small restaurant of sorts where you can select Polish specialties from a limited menu and consume this on the premises. For all all things Polish and then some this is a great place to shop.

Went to get bread. A SMALL BREAD!! 4.15. WHAT A RIP OFF. Price are marked up. Only plus is that they have big selection of products. be aware u will pay more then in other polish stores.

Amazing Bakery its more like a trip to Poland. Today I had the large poppy seed Danish that they make Oh my god it was so delicious just like my mom made. I bought pastries for a person that was in the hospital and they just raved about how delicious everything was. Its worth a trip to this bakery its truly amazing.

I grew up getting warm fresh French bread early in the mornings Which by the way you can still get. this place was much smaller then but they still make the best bread in town if not conn..one of three must eat places if you’re ever in new Britain rolly polly, capital lunch, and China town express…

I grew up in Little Poland (New Britain) and when I’m in the area I ALWAYS stop here for everything I need. The bread is so fresh and delicious, there’s a huge variety of deli meats and other Polish foods, the pastries are amazing, and I always get fresh homemade lunch from the huge selection of prepared foods. I mean this is where all the Polish locals go, so you knows it’s the best!

I think this is a wonderful establishment .. the sandwiches are like out of this world delicious, chocolates are very good, bakery items are done the polish way and are not loaded with artificial sugar but its just sweet enough ...I could eat their food forever..however, during a transaction waiting for the card to read the cashier asked if I was using ebt..I dont know if it was Intentional or not..but she should communicate carefully.She could have said, what are you using to make this transaction?.not every black person uses ebt..Im not one of them . or let alone any person, thats not a question to ask without tact. So yes, I totally recommend this place with hopes for more careful communication. overall, a pleasant experience.

First time there. Amazing place that sells a ton of polish products. Meat prices were excellent and high quality. We bought some bread which was ok. There is a great pastry area with a ton of selections and a hot food area to purchase polish goodies. Also great selection of frozen polish food. So glad we found this place!! We will be back.

I say explore Bakery’s because one try at the bakery’s I mentioned and you’ll never go back. It’s that good especially pan de cielo been here for decades before I came along. They’re reputation speaks for itself. One reviewer even gave an example almost $5 for loaf of bread 😂 which is cool if it was actually worth it.

Best Polish grocery / bakery in New England. Saturday can get crazy so come in early for easy parking :) There are some tables and sitting available for lunch. Sandwiches were pretty good 👍

What a beautiful Polish store! The food selection there was incredible! I love that they have a little indoor cafe terrace you can dine in.

The variety of POLISH items is tremendous and you can get just about anything you need, but the PACZKI I got there were TERRIBLE, they looked like they were deep fried 90% doughy and had very little filling with next to no taste. I would NOT buy them there again.

I am by no means an expert on polish food but i am a lover of cured meats and they have them by the boat load. Many different varieties or bacon, kielbasa, lunch meat and sausage all fresh and delicious. The store is very clean, easy to navigate and most of the staff is bilingual. Their hunters bacon is the best Ive ever had.

First ever visit from out of town! Of course kielbasa was on the short list of products in mind because we are not Polish, but really enjoyed the bakery items we purchased. Its truly a grocery store, much larger than we imagined. Most visits only go as far as Capitol Lunch! Well be back.

My family love this store! The price are good and the bakery is very tasty! The donuts ( ponchyky) have enough jelly filling. My kids loved! Kielbasa, sausages, meat are all the time fresh! There is a huge choice! I never scary to buy it for my kids! Everything is clean and easy to find! If you cannot find, just ask for the help. The people who work there are very friendly! Wonderful selection of authentic Polish food. Great service with a smile and varying degrees of English skills. However, even with some verbal language challenges, there is still excellent communication!

Theres a dude next to register staring at people. Cant imagine how cashers feel like working there.

A littel gem of a store, more than a far more than a bakery. Going at Christmas is a treat, the store has the feel of old Europe with huge selections of candy, pastry, stuffed cabbage, pierogi and so many assorted Eastern European foods. The language spoken in the shop is mostly Polish but there are English speaking workers as well and they are so very helpful. If you want a taste, theyre happy to serve you. Their salads are very good... beet salad, cucumber salad, Polish cole slaw with mayonnaise is so good, and their vegetable salad is incredible.For Easter the shop changes decorations and again has an old world Easter feel to it. Great Easter goodies are available. Its fun to go, bring your children or grandchildren, its really an experience, and a fun one.

Been here twice. I like it. Always have hard to find items you can’t find in a smaller store. The bakery is very nice and that is what someone recommended. The prepared foods are equally nice. If I had one complaint is the .15 cents they charge for a bag! Seriously I am buying $30+ dollars of items and they stick you an extra .15 cents for a bag? That is not good way to keep customers. I hope they do away with that policy or say if you buy $20 dollars you get bag free.

For people who regularly buy polish groceries what stands out the most is the fact it is significantly more expensive to shop here. Avoid going there on weekends, its very chaotic, anywhere you stand it seems like your in someones way. Selection of Polish products is really good, but its not worth the overall experience.

Very confusing to figure out where the lines were. We decided to have sandwiches there. It took 20-25 minutes to get the sandwiches and we were (or should have been) her only customers! The girl making the sandwiches, was also ringing up customers... no washing hands, no new gloves before going back to making our sandwiches! Then She dropped the cover of the mayonnaise, picked it up off the floor, covered the mayonnaise and put it back in the fridge. We were out after that! Where are all the COVID-19 Protocols?

Its always decorated very nicely and the place is BUSY! If you have to go to only one place for Polish food shopping in New Britain, CT, this is it!!

Roly Poly Bakery is the best polish deli, pastry and overall General Store in Connecticut! Pete and his wonderful staff have made a one of a kind market. I dare you to find anywhere comparable..over the top in every category! Best pastries and my favorites, short ribs, stuffed cabbage and pierogies ever!

You can get most foods Polish in here and everything is fresh and they have COVID19 shields at the registers. The only thing that I did NOT care for is that they have lose rolls that you can select and bag yourself, I wonder how many people have touched those items before me. I stuck to the bagged breads that no one had a chance to touch. I was just a bit alarmed that they would have lose rolls and baked goods to help yourself to.

A New Britain treasure, this Polish grocery delivers authentic Polish fare, both ready-to-eat and prepackaged delicacies. Great selections of food and coffee. Take a seat in the bistro section - excellent for breakfast and lunch. Top off your meal with a bakery item, and you wont be disappointed.

It used to be a good store and I was shopping there since I can remember. Now the new owner is a rip-off artist charging double for everything. Run away!!! Don’t support the greediness of the owner. Other stores have the same products at cheaper cost. One day a 1.5 liter bottle of Żywiec Zdrój cost $1.69 and the next day $2.29! She assumes that the fact that the store bakes its own rye bread the the expansive parking lot will attract customers because you often have to park on the street when shopping elsewhere on Broad Street.

Amazing selection of European goods, as well as fresh meat and bakery products. We were there on Fat Tuesday (which isnt as big as Fat Thursday) in the evening and there were plenty of good, fresh baked goods...and especially paczki! We loved it!

I love how big this spot has gotten. Ive been coming here since I was a kid. Now I bring my son to teach him what yummy food is in his Polish heritage. To those who are not Polish I do not recommend a first time visit on or a day before Black Friday/ Easter/ Christmas Eve. Lots of last minute Polish shoppers ( I among them) and we will wait patiently in line for hours just to get the right meat and cake.

This is really nice shop and has a lot of goodies. I love this place! Good old fashion pastries and cakes to die for. Very clean and wide, well organized and friendly staff.

Variety of polish hams, sausages, fresh bread, bakery is fantastic. Has every polish food you can imagine. The desserts are decadent. The cafe adds a nice touch. They make hot food like stuffed cabbage and so on.

They have a good selection of traditional cold cuts, as well as smoked meats, smoked fish and everything Polish. Daily hot meals you can eat there or to go. What a selection of desserts!
