4.5 stars. Loved the mason jar sundaes! It is expensive, but tasty. They only offer two sizes which are both pricey. There is a lot of ice cream included and I was not able to finish the jar. I had the monster cookie and chocolate. Both were delicious. Service was good, although a tad slow as only one person was making the sundaes. I wish they had more variety. They only have 6 soft serve flavors, 3 of which are for more adventurous eaters. Another bummer was it’s takeout only. Make sure you grab napkins! It was a great treat, but unsure if I would return due to the prices and lack of variety.

It is a bit much for my taste, only walked in because the misses was craving this place. It has a lot going on in each menu item and their weird names. They make you want to read the ingredients. Know your Roots fire. NO PARKING AND NO SEATING

Saw this place on the Gram and thought maybe I should try it. A little pricey when you bring kids but the Boba Tea is really good! Will be back but only as a treat.

The first time to try surreal creamery, I have decided to“Make Your Own Flotea.”I got thai milk tea with Vietnamese iced coffee and earl grey swirl ice cream on the top, bottom of strawberry and passion fruit jelly.honestly, it’s taste good.But, you will feel very dirty when you enter the store…the floor is not tiled, and it feels like it hasn’t been mopped for a long time. It’s hard to imagine that this is an ice cream store,the whole store feels more like a warehouse. If you want to try their ice cream for the first time, my suggestion is: go order online, don’t go to the store!

We got this a few months ago but I just decided to write a review. The ice cream didn’t taste that good, but the presentation was excellent and the portion size was very big. Both of us expected it to taste a lot better, especially for the price. I love ice cream but I feel like this didn’t have that much flavor, it was watery. Definitely wouldn’t get this again. Giving it 2 stars because how can you call yourself a creamery and not even sell good ice cream

The ice cream and Boba was great. Along with the presentation. Only thing I wished they had was various sizes. It was kind of a lot but the price was still good. Be sure to leave enough room for this dessert.

Loved it! so good!! i got the chocolate blackout and it was so delicious. just a bit messy but i love the cute jars it comes in. definitely recommend.

They was really nice and quick to get us our orders I had the Earl gray vanilla ice cream cup. I felt it was a bit pricey, bit they loaded up the cup so much that close to 40% of the ice cream was sticking up outside the cup. It was very rich, creamy and wasnt loaded with sugar. I was passing by when stopped by, if Im ever intown again, I will sure to come by again. You show too

3.5 stars. The ice cream is super aesthetic which is honestly the reason why most people go in my opinion.The ice cream flavor I got was pretty good to me. I got the taro + matcha swirl! The boba was nicely made too.My boyfriend got the brown sugar one but it was way too sweet. It was almost syrupy! We asked if they could change the sweetness beforehand because we kind of suspected it would be sweet but they told us we couldnt. It looked like they manually added some syrup so I dont see why they couldnt just put less lolLastly I wish they had different sizes because its a lot of ice cream. Its also pretty pricey. It was around 18 bucks for 2 of them.

Great ice cream... Not to expensive. $10 for the jar and you keep it. Definitely cant wait to go back for more

The dessert itself tastes good but the operations management needs a lot of improvement.There needs to be a clear line for ordering and waiting for pick up. See the Apple store for ideas in how to execute this.The bubble tea used is made from a powder mix so you should premake these and leave it in cold storage to speed up the process.Making each dessert is very slow. Expect to wait around 30 minutes. Look into how Cold Stone and Chipotle manages an assembly line to improve yours.

Its a nice gimmick. The ice creams ok - good, but not fabulous. In my opinion the line down the street is all hype. They just cant move people through there fast enough.

Whoa Papi, these ice creams are intense. Massive servings AND you can keep the mason jar which theyve personalized with little stickers. A great treat on a hot day (just eat it quickly because it gets messy when it starts to melt.)

I would give it 5 stars but theres no place to eat inside or even on the side walk. By the time you find a table near the train station or a park bench, your stuff is melted.Otherwise, if you need some emotional support comfort dessert, this is your place.I got a flotea and the hubby and his friend got the mason jars. They really do look as beautiful (and taste even better) as the pics on their website.

Ive had Signature Mason Jar ice cream here - Nom Nom Cookie, Chocolate Blackout, Earl Grey Everyday and Its my birthday. I liked Nom Nom Cookie and chocolate Blackout. The ice cream was good. They both have oreos in it which was good to have with the ice cream. Id want to try their bubble tea next. Definitely worth the price. The jars are also of a great quality. If you like Boba and ice cream & like to mix it up with things like cookie and cereal, youll love it.

My daughter loves bubble tea and we were having a hard time finding some decent Boba in my part of NJ. I stumbled upon Surreal Creamery and am so happy I found this gem. This place is amazing! At first we only bought bubble tea, but we started to try their mason jars and floteas. I love their unique flavors, and the option to make your own combinations. Dont let the line in front of the store stop you! The staff moves quickly and efficiently. Theyre all super friendly, cleanly, and make sure to follow all covid guidelines. Their rewards program is my favorite, especially considering how frequently we go there now. I highly, highly recommend Surreal Creamery and hope they continue to open new locations.

The Vietnamese coffee bubble tea is out of this world delicious! My husband and I are obsessed with it! Definitely a guilty pleasure as its a very rich beverage. I love that you can order online and pick up. One of these days Ill try to get some of their other drinks lol.

Ice cream with bubble tea? The idea is phenomenal and it tasted great. Portions are absolutely huge. Next time Ill be sharing one instead but other than that its great. I do wish they had an option for a smaller portion but that was my only complaint

Overrated - I got the earl tea ice cream and bubble tea. The bubble tea was completely flavorless. The bubbles are not coated with honey so they were bland. The ice cream was good, which is why the review is 2/5 instead of 1/5.The staff were very quick and nice, but I would not come back.

Ice cream is pretty good, the toppings make it better. I got less toppings, but definitely get the recommended ones if youre not sure what goes best with the flavor.

The ice cream was so delicious I could see myself going there at least once a week. Funny thing is I hate ice cream, my husband made me try it and I loved it. This place is amazing! They let you get 4 different toppings on a wide variety of ice cream. Have to say that the fruity pebbles and strawberry syrup are simply top tier. The portable and resealable mason jars are also very convenient.

Great flavors and fun desserts for all. The kids had a blast. Also there are games on the table to play while eating/waiting.

I saw a place like this in the city and Im so excited its finally in Jersey! Toppings are like endless and the staff helps a lot since theres so many choices. For sure my new fave dessert spot. I feel like Ill never have to repeat my order because I can mix and match from chocolate sauce, marshmallows, cinnamon toast crunch, Oreos etc.Cant wait for the weather to get warmer so I can be here every day.

They dont make their own ice cream even though they call themselves a creamery. They basically just put soft serve into a mason jar with Hersheys chocolate syrup and coco puffs and oreos and charge you $10. Not worth the price for what you get. Better off making your own at home.

Definitely a must try ice cream place! They have various soft serves with creative toppings to choose from. Tried the Nom Nom Cookie mason jar special which was genuinely amazing! Would recommend this to anyone.

The wait here was ridiculous... I waited almost an hour. And there were only two people working inside. The ice cream itself was good I loved how they put a lot of toppings. I was a little disappointed with the mason jar itself however. There was no logo or handle... it was just a plain mason jar. Overall I would recommend but the wait was just not worth it for me.

So I always come here it’s usually okay or good sometimes. But today was horrific,First I went to the restroom and it smelled like marijuana. Then I went to pick up my order as I went to my car I noticed a smell. The lid of my cup smelled like cigarettes and marijuana.I was so disgusted that I threw my drink out the window.I think the management should really evaluate their workers. They also prepare orders wearing no gloves.I mean it’s fine if your hands were clean but especially in this pandemic I think they should be more sanitaryI wouldn’t have posted this review if this hadn’t happened because I really like this place before but now I don’t think I will go back I’m very disappointed.

FINALLY got to try this place! We’ve walked by it many times, even tried standing in line for a while before giving up. Last night, I remembered to order online first. We got to walk past a giant line of people, grab our order and go. We did order them capped instead, which helped speed up the process. Disappointed to not get the signature jar with the handle, but absolutely loved the Vietnamese coffee flavor, and getting the jar to keep. Fun experience, will order again!

This place is for your Instagram, not for your appetite. Friendly staff and great presentation, however the ice cream was virtually tasteless and it melted SO fast. Very messy within 2 minutes, will not be back.

This is gonna be the last time i order from that place. The place is so dirty. The floors in the dining area are dirty. The countertops behind where they prepare the orders are dirty. Saw a couple of flies last night too. Also, boxes are stacked in the dining area. Just because no one is allowed to eat inside because of the pandemic, doesnt mean you have to make your dining area into a stockroom. Which really is concerning for me. If management doesnt care of their outside appearance and cleanliness to their customers, can you imagine how dirty it is in the places where the customers cannot see? Yikes!!

The ice cream 🍦 is by far the best you will ever taste, the service is top notch, the workmanship and details that goes into each completion of their signature Mason jars will make you come back time and time again! Nice place, decent flavors, patient staff. Just note that toppings for the mason jar are also mixed into the ice cream so plan accordingly haha. Syrups with ice cream also just wayyy too sweet for me so the earl gray erry day with the caramel syrup was overkill. Otherwise, if u like sweet things and got money to spare, place is worth the try at least once imo.

Surreal Creamery was the best ice cream shop Ive been to in the area. With fresh ice cream made on premises what more could you ask for? They have multiple flavors like the classic vanilla and chocolate but also they have unique flavors like taro and black sesame! They also offer a monthly rotation of flavors! You can have a cup, cone, shake, donut ice cream sandwich or specialty Mason jar! The staff is very friendly and they even let me try some of the taro before I decided on what to order! I can undoubtedly say that I was satisfied with my choice today and you can expect me back!P. S. Theyre open late 🔥

Meh, I dont think this place will last. Quite expensive for mildly flavored ice cream with mix-ins. 7 bucks for a cup (one size only) but it is quite large, I had no hope of finishing. One could think of it as a soft serve cold stone type of joint. Service is friendly and attentive.

Order ahead, for pick-up, quite the wait.

I went to Surreal in NYC and loved it; so I was excited when I found one in New Brunswick. My daughter and I both got Floteas but with different flavors. Her order came out exactly like the picture, beautiful soft serve towering on top of bubble tea! I was handed a cup of bubble tea with lid and I thought they gave me the wrong order. The person who handed it to me said the ice cream was soft and that’s why they had to put a lid on the cup so it won’t spill - they handed me a bubble tea with melted ice cream. I told them I don’t want melted ice cream and they continue to it’s not melted, the ice cream is “soft”. At that point they ignored me and refused to change my dessert which I didn’t touch. To make it worse, when I drank my melted Flotea there were little lumps in my tea probably from the buttering of the melted ice cream. I will never go back because the customer service is horrendous.

I liked it and they were very fast with my order but I didn’t get one of the signature mason jars I just got a regular one so for price and to get the signature ones (which is the reason I went) I was disappointed.

Got the thai milk tea/coffee ice cream flotea and mango jasmine tea. The ice cream was super duper sweet that I could get instant diabetes from it. The mango tea was ok, nothing special. I had it at 50% sugar which I’m glad I did. Reason for 3 stars was due the diabetic flotea that cost $8.50 and customer service. Not sure if they have more than 1 cashier but the lady that took my order was rude. I came in and she just stared at me. The 2 menu TVs out of 4 were off so I asked her if those were the only drinks they had. She muffled something and pointed her finger up. When I tried to pay, she asked me if I have a card because they were low on change, which I happened to forgot it that day and only had cash. She rolled her eyes when she turned to the machine. My first time and will be my last.

Easily my favorite place for bubble tea and ice cream. But I definitely feel that they should find a better alternative for their delivery service. This is the second time within a week that I’ve dealt with an issue regarding delivery. The first had been an order I had to check on as it was passed the estimated time, only to find out from the guy that they had not found a driver (which was frustrating as hell considering that I had to be the one to reach out, otherwise how long would it have taken for them to contact me concerning the issue?). Today the driver had apparently delivered the drinks, however they had not been. Very happy however that the young woman who had answered immediately resolved the issue. Would rate 5 stars for the amazing flavors SC brings to the table. Removing 1 for the faulty delivery service.

Love their desserts. Love taro anything. I like to customize my orders. Ive been obsessed over their cat ear tops for their containers too! Usually delivers pretty quickly except for one time. The driver unfortunately got into an accident and the owner had to drive it himself.What a service! Instead of cancelling my order he drove my orders himself. Thanks!
