It was a pleasure working with Pep boys. I had the privilege of having Debbie assist me. She had extremely well rounded customer service. Along with making my experience quick and easy. Especially since I’m a novice when it comes to issues with my vehicle. I would recommend pep boys to anyone looking for new tires and anyone who’s unfamiliar with cars.

Debbie at the register was very rude. We had a 11:00 appointment, we came alittle late due to picking up tires at Tire rack. They didnt take car till 12:30. When I questioned when car was going in her answer was after all you came late very snippy. When the mechanic saw us outside he was apologizing for her saying she should not have spoken to us that way. He got us out pretty fast. Thank God for him. Wish I got his name, he was a young gentleman who was very professional. He saw I had my dog with me and offered water for him.

The floors are dirty and everything could definitely be used white down I get it to mechanic shop but the lobby is there not working on cars so it definitely can use a good deep cleaning and restocking of items looking more presentable the staff here is great very nice now the boy even at the front desk. There are three women who work the front desk very helpful very respectful very knowledgeable and know their cars these women went above and beyond customer service especially a woman named Debbie

Engine light was on. They told me I needed a new catalytic converter to include the left and right arms of the unit. It can only be aquired from the dealer and itd be 2300. They never even mentioned the other issues I had so I left. I took it to the dealer and it was a ~150 dollar gas leak. I do not recommend.

My gosh! I cannot thank the manager, Jen, enough. I am writing this after my positive experience I’ve had with her and her team, Kevon and others. I went in for a routine oil change and an installation of a TPMS. Not gonna lie, I’m not the most car-savvy driver but she and her team made me a happy customer and more knowledgeable driver after their service. I have been going to this location for awhile now and I wish this team could’ve helped me more (the last team was great too). Basically, I ran into an extra step because I made a mistake about my TPMS and they were happy to help me out even tho I could’ve avoided this. Also, their customer service communication is awesome (I work for a bank from home so they def hit all the marks on good comms). You both made me save time and stress less! Thank you both and the team there at Pepboys!P.S. I have a 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer

I feel completely scammed pep boys!I took in my boyfriends older car because the check engine light was on. I told them I thought it was the O2 sensor and I needed to fix whatever the check engine light was on for to get stickers. So I ask for them to do the inspection. I left the car there and headed to work. About an hour later I get a call and am told I was right the O2 sensor was bad. He gave me the price to replace it plus the inspection altogether, I told the guy to go ahead and I’d pay for it when I picked it up.Let’s fast forward to about 6 hours later, I got a call saying my car was ready to be picked up. I was excited to finally get it through emissions to get the stickers. I go grab my BF to pick the car up from the shop on my break. When I go in there I talk to the same guy again and he tells me my check engine light is gone and they ran it for 30 minutes to make sure it would stay off. I sign the paperwork, pay, and leave happy. While my bf is driving his car home and I’m on my way back to work, I get a call for my very upset bf telling me the check engine light is back on. Confused and a little frustrated, I call Pep Boys and the talked to the mechanic that actually worked on the car. I am told the check engine light is on again, not because of the o2 sensor but because apparently I have a huge oil leak in his car.Listen, I was never told anything was wrong except the o2 sensor. Why would I have been told that other things were wrong with my car until AFTER I paid $400 in repairing what I thought was the only thing wrong. I paid almost $100 alone for the inspection and didn’t get honest answers at all. Now I’m being told after I wasted $400 that the repairs I need are going to cost double what the cars worth. I was deceived and screwed over. I’m heartbroken that pep boys would be run this way. Something needs to be done.

When for brake inspection..told me dont need brakes....ask them to check air in tires..said its ok....they never check the air in my tires....and the brake inspections was vision inspections..just drove it in the parking lot...stay away from 273 pep boys

My family & I have had quite a few oil changes now and the staff gets the job done in less time than whats assumed. Folks at the counter are pleasant and give good advice. I will continue to bring my vehicle to this location over the New Castle / Bear Pep Boys locations for regular service.

Very excellent efficient service. I called several different tire stores either they had to order the tire or they couldnt change my tire on till 3 days later. The representative here at Pep Boys went out of his way to assure me that they would take care of me and meet my niece and the tire size I needed was always there. Very satisfied with this Pep Boys

Great friendly staff. Fair prices. Ken was helpful with understanding the problem. I came in for a battery because my car wouldn’t start. I thought it was because of the cold weather. His team took a look at it and found out it was the alternator. They got my baby back to me same day.

The service was slow but the goal was accomplished, anything is better than what I had experienced before I showed up. They apologized for the slow service because they were short staffed. The guys there were nice and patient with the customers that came in.

I wouldnt recommend going here. Getting the runaround from various managers. If I could give zero stars, I would. Returned from this place with service to my tire rods, heard noise coming from my wheel area. Also needed an alignment. Upon picking my vehicle up, alignment was off AND I still heard the noise. They blamed the noise on my rack. I wasnt having that (I REALLY FELT LIKE SOMETHING WAS WRONG) I took out to just tires for a second opinion, not like I had a choice, Pep Boys dismissed my claims anyway. Just Tires found the error and fixed the noise. There was no noise coming from my wheel (I CAN ONLY IMAGINE WHAT WOULDVE HAPPENED IF I LISTENED TO THESE PROFESSIONALS I WOULDVE BEEN DOWN THE ROAD BROKEN DOWN SOMEWHERE). They already shouldntve let me leave with the alignment being bad the first time. First manager admitted that was an error to return my vehicle like thatSecond manager, stated leaning on some he said, she said stuff. He said he didnt see anything wrong with the alignment.TL;DR if you feel something is off, ask questions. If they dont give you an answer that is satisfactory, get a second opinion.

If I could give this pep boys zero stars, I would. I dropped my car off Friday night after hours to be serviced on Saturday. When I called the next morning, my car was gone. Someone broke into the garage, stole my keys, and stole my car. The employee didnt even know the garage door was kicked in where the key drop is. He also said the alarm didnt go off for some reason. And they claimed a car never got stolen from their location before. Well guess what, it happened now. Thanks a lot for telling me dropping my car off would be secure. Next time, let me know theres a shady bar next door where dudes hang out waiting to steal cars.

Scheduled an apt at 11 for oil change and TPMS check. 11:50, car hasnt even been touched yet, told by both people working (1 claiming to be a manager named Giovanni) that they were busy, and that I could always go to the Jiffy Lube down the street, with no apology or even apparent concern that they stole almost an hour of my life to no purpose. This experience appears to be antithetical to the concept of scheduling an appointment, and they clearly cant even summon up the concern for customer satisfaction to even offer an apology. AVOID THIS LOCATION!!!!!!!!!!!! Follow up - after this, the store sent an email asking me to reschedule because (according to the email) I couldnt make it - when it was their people who couldnt even be bothered to try to hold to the scheduled appointment time - with no apparent remorse or concern over the theft of my time. In other words, someone at the store decided to be snide and add insult to injury.

Was recently in to have 4 tires replaced. The price was absolutely great with their 4th tire free event. Not only that, but the service was spectacular. They were very kind and explained everything. They did not try to upsell on anything and gave just what was needed. Was in and out extremely fast as a walk in, even with them driving up the road to grab the 2 extra tires they didnt have in stock! Awesome experience!

I recently had brakes installed and rotors turned. Took 6hrs, car was given back with grease inside and out all over it. Brakes are spongie, brakes are making grinding sound. My lug nut lock key was used and wasnt put back. Theres also a rattling sound coming from my front driver side tire, like theres something loose. Will be having it checked out somewhere else. Not happy. February 2019, I removed the rear pads today to replace rotors. The mechanic didnt remove the adhesive film from the pad tab. Also did not seat the pads.

If you are in or around New Castle, go to this Pep Boys and not the one on Rt. 13N. I had a minor problem that should take no more than 15-20 minutes to remedy. No appointment and my car was fixed promptly. The Pep Boys on Rt. 13 turned me away. You can’t schedule when you get a flat tire. Go here, they are professional and treat you right, not like the Rt. 13 store.

Dont believe anything good you read about this place!Lies, cheating, stealing.Thats what you can expect from this service department.Mine is a classic story,Check engine light came on so I checked my code reader and got some codes that are beyond my desire to troubleshoot. Pep Boys Service guy says no problem, hundred bucks and well tell you what the trouble is. I tell him Ive checked the codes already and really need to know whats up if Im going to pay that much for diagnosis- he assures me that itll all be ok... once they get my money. So, great! It seems high but if itll actually pinpoint the trouble- then Ill do it.I was told I had a bad part. I replaced the part. Still have the engine light. Took it back and had some REAL problems getting them to look at it again. And again I was told I had a bad part. I replaced the part. Still have the engine light. This time, when I took it back, I was told that I would have to spend more money-I was clear about what I wanted and was assured about what I would get, ultimately, I was deceived and robbed.Im sure that as long as you only need a tire or some other equally quick and profitable job, youve got a good chance at getting what you pay for- a good chance- if theres a way for them to soak you for more, theyll try it.They knew what they were doing when they screwed me, they did it because theyve gotten away with it before.Dont be their next victim.edit; btw, if anyone thinks I might not be qualified to change a part or two, Ill match my qualifications against any certificates your mechanics can produce....

Carli was amazing at helping me out when my car broke down on en route to the beach. She was able to get my new alternator delivered on a Sunday after the deliveries had already gone through - then the team stayed late after closing to finish the job for me so I could be on my way. If it wasnt for their hard work, I would have been stuck in a hotel for the night. Thank you!

I cant say enough about this place!!! These guys are the best!!! I had a flat tire and I was from out of town, I called the pep boys on Christiana rd in new castle. Ken the manager answered the phone very promptly and professionally. He assured me that he could help me in my time of need. I pulled up to the store and Ken welcomed me (shook my hand). Before my paperwork was complete, he had one of his gentleman, Michael perillo come get my keys, michael even assured me that he was going to take care of me and had my car in the shop!!! And even when presented with hard evidence that you made the appointment and the parts (in this case Tires) should be there since they shouldve been ordered in the first place, they wont match you in the price you were quoted. Very Friendly & Knowledgeable.I was passing thru town on the way back home to Texas & had a check engine light pop on in my truck. I stopped in a spoke to a lady named Carli about what possibly could be the problem. After a short time of trying to troubleshoot what the problem was with a diagnostic tool, we found out I had left my gas cap too loose. While I was there, she checked my wiper blades and convinced me into getting my oil & wipers changed. Very good service & definitely a good employee with her.

Too Expensive!I compare the exact same Goodyear tires and the exact same mounting balance and Alignment OF 4 OF GOOD YEARS NEWEST TIRES at both Just Tires and Pep Boys.... results: Im paying$300 less at Just Tires then at Pep Boys for the EXACT same thing!

Got my brakes were vibrating, got a good quote on replacing them, but offered to check them first, then figured that they just need to be cleaned and calibrated; did that and still have same issue on a smaller scale.Going to go back and figure out what happened. I will post an updated review.

Told them the part I needed and they said they could schedule me for Wednesday. I asked if the part would be there and they said no. I asked if they could order the part so that it would be fixed on Wednesday and they said no. The part has to be ordered from the dealer and they said that they would look at my car Wednesday order the part from the dealer and it would be minimum a one day wait for the last.
