I went to the on in Newcastle I was ready to walk out with a car. I was pre approved and was ready to put down double what I was approved for. The sales rep tells me that my payments will be 240 every two weeks.. I was ok with thatAfter she finished she pulled up cars for me.to look at and tells me she only had one car that I could get but I had to pay 270 every two weeks. And if I wanted my payments lower I would have to put down another 1400. This place is a scam to get money. I went to another dealership and got a newer car with a reasonable monthly payment with the same down payment. No matter how desperate you are do not break your bank for a car

I have terrible credit, its around 500. Not only did don help me get approved he was able to do it with $0 down. The intrest is what youd expect from a buy here pay here style place however i was able to get a decent car with a warrenty so i could continue to go to work. Id highly recommend don

Dont buy a car here unless you can afford to take it to your own mechanic and have it thoroughly checked before the first 14 days and then return it. Their warranty provider, Silver Rock, sucks and theyll leave you with the bill for someone elses damage. Pro-mechanic, pro-dealer, not pro-customer. Cover yourself...

Warranty company is even worst NOTHING is covered. Don’t fall for it. If you have no other choice you are better off stealing a car

This place is a total SCAM!! They say you are approved, you get a KBB idea of how much your current vehicle would be worth if you trade it in. First thing when you go in, they sit you down and want to discuss financing. Ask for your ID and paystubs. Enter some stuff into their computer and come back saying that I had to put at least $1000 down on some POS car I was not even interested in and that my payments would be around $210 bi-weekly, totaling over $400 a month. Well I walked out!! I was hoping for lower payments, not almost the same for an older car with more miles then mine!! Thank god I dont live far from there, but that still was a huge waste of about 20 minutes!! STAY AWAY

Went with son to buy car and received nice 2015 Chrysler. However back right tire was an issue from the beginning and they knew it and did not address problem. Now having issues with that tire. Hopefully all goes well with everything else.

1 week after purchase, I had to go to mechanic because car was stalling at intersections. They told me DriveTime’s warranty would cover repairs, but I had to pay $500 cash. Mechanic said “DriveTime’s warranty is worthless because they won’t pay for anything.”6 months after purchasing car, they still hadn’t sent me title or tags (despite paying for these with the purchase of car.) i asked for them twice and was flatly denied. They told me to go to DMV and pay them to print me a duplicate title.I recommend avoiding this dealership at all costs.

Had an overall fantastic experience!! I have really bad credit and I got hit and totaled my car and was desperate to get a car bc I’ve been paying for my rental for a week and a half and with my credit situation it wasn’t looking good..had a bad experience with Carvana and I really started to feel defeated. With Covid and all it really put a pause on my fixing of my credit so I just felt like I was either screwed or going to have to go to some lemon type car place and although I know there aren’t too many options for someone like me, I’m still spending my money so I’d like to not hate what I’m investing in..I started dealing with the Plymouth meeting location and they were helpful but their inventory was slim pickins so I checked out langhorne and it was a little better then I came home and checked out new castle online and just drove down to look at a few cars and it was 7:30 and they close at 8 and they were so friendly and let me creep around the lot and then I started communicating with Chuck!! He is a stand up dude! He even saved me from a moth!! Lol and picked it out of my hair! He spent his entire shift with us (due to us having to find certain paperwork)and I felt so bad but he was so pleasant the entire day and even seemed happy to see us through to the end!! If there’s any kind of promotion to be offered or prize to offer, he deserves it!! I am a hairdresser and a bartender and I deal with people all day everyday and I never write reviews but chuck deserves it all!! If anyone is reading this manifesto to the end, and you’re looking for a used car no matter your credit, go see chuck at new castle drive time ❤️

Was APPROVED instantly. Called this location. Came in and got the Run-a-round. Said I needed more stubbs & bank would not approve. Then said the Down payment I was instantly APPROVED for was not enough. Their Bank called me & said something DIFFERENT. Salesguys in here are full of it.Just go elsewhere. Fast!

The overall process was good but I did not like that after I paid my down payment they gave me the info to read and I found out they have tracking devices on the cars. I don’t plan on hiding the car or anything but it would have been nice to have been told BEFOREHAND so I can make a decision if I still wanted the car or not. Also some of the features in my car don’t work like I can’t adjust the drivers side seat and there is something going on with my truck. There may be more but I have not spotted them yet, was told to take it to one of the warranty shops to have it fixed.

They only deserve that one start just so I can comment. And they are nice people. Staff does not communicate with on another came In on Saturday 3/23/2019. Just cause I kept getting calls. To see what they was about. Got approved got the vehicle i wanted. Made my payment told them I would be back Monday. To get the vehicle they had to get take to get the radio done decide to go into work late on Tuesday to get the vehicle. Get there they say the vehicle is not there. They go to get it and find out the other staff got it the day before didnt inform none. Then get the vehicle ready he says I have to take it through inspection I cant find the receipt. Get back vehicle doesnt pass inspection. Had to get my money back and leaves with no vehicle. You would think since I my insurance on the vehicle did all I had to do the would of had everything done. But no. They had nothing prepared in my folder.

I had a nice experience at DriveTime in New Castle. I live close to the dealership but I didnt have a ride so Ben and Sarah picked me up. They were very nice I didnt have much of a credit history and they worked with me and I was so happy. Be careful when reading their reviews though. They ask you to write a review when youre waiting for everything to be processed. The combination of you being excited for your new car and knowing that theyre going to read it while youre sitting in their office leads to A LOT of 5-star reviews. If they use the persons named who helped them in their review, theyre probably filling it out at the dealership. If you are in a situation where you can get a car somewhere else, do so. Their warranties arent that great and almost all of their cars are stock models that they bought at auction from Enterprise or a similar place. If you have credit issues, DriveTime is A LOT better than many other places. My initial review was 5 stars and had a lot of exclamation marks. I just wanted to watch out for anyone in the market for a car.

All of the managers were extremely helpful but I worked mostly with Matt and Michelle. Michelle helped me pick out a car that works for me that I love (2013 KIA Optima) with great payments and low mileage! The contracting was not like your typical long and drawn out process. Test drove the vehicle we agreed on (my wife and myself). And if not for a rusty muffler Id have drove home that day but it was replaced quickly and we drove home today with our new vehicle (new for us) (aka used). Very happy and would highly recommend them to family and friends. Anyone looking for a car thats affordable at a very reasonable price should come here.

We were done in about 2 1/2 hours, got a car we loved at fair market value with an affordable down (found out some vehicles have much higher downs, but they worked with us to find a similar car that fit our down payment). There was a minor issue with the headlight but it was an easy fix, and some minor issues are to be expected with used car buying. 3 weeks into driving the car DriveTime sold me, my passenger side mirror fell out. It look fine and I was driving maybe 15 mph and it came off. I called the dealership,drive time and was transferred to the insurance company which said they don’t cover that. It’s not a big deal I can fix it myself. The problem is I kinda feel like I could of gotten a better car, a better deal and definitely a lower interest rate. Most which is my fault for not doing enough research. There’s no need to cry over spilt milk. I have to work with what I have. Nonetheless the customer service at drive time is good.

A surprisingly pleasant car buying experience! The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. My salesman, Jeff even drove up to a dealership outside of Philly to pick up the vehicle I was interested in. After a bad experience at another dealership, I was welcomed and accepted at DriveTime and was able to drive away in a great new to me car (minus the intense smell of cigarette smoke). I only have 2 minor gripes- 1) I had to request that the car be washed, and I will need to do an odor bomb to remove the smell of cigarette smoke. 2) It would be nice if you left the dealership with at least a half a tank of gas. I live in MD and had to make the trip home on less than a 1/4 of a tank of gas- I made it home thankfully but that is something you shouldnt have to worry about with a new to you vehicle.

Bought my 2012 van here about a month and a half ago and still could not be happier. From the moment we walked in, Ben greeted us warmly and sat down with us and did everything he could to get me in this car. It took a lot longer than we had expected especially with our 5 month old daughter in tow but everyone who worked there was so great about her crankiness. Made you feel very comfortable. I recommend this place to everyone who needs a reliable car but has credit issues. I also feel our payments are manageable and the interest isnt costing us as much as the car.
