The best of the best! Nothing like your local neighborhood hardware store with everything you need. Since the first time I stepped in the door, the owner and his staff have been wonderful and welcoming. They’re knowledge for any project I’m working on is remarkable. I always come here whenever I need anything for the house and the best part is they always have goodies for your belly at the register. Some prices may be a bit more than a Home Depot/Lowe’s price, but I’d rather give these guys my business with the kind of customer service and attention they give. Outstanding job guys!

Every community should have a Vanderbilt style hardware store.Once an integral part of the former Vanderbilt Lumber of New City, the hardware division established itself on North Main. It maintained the same friendly and accommodating service.Its a go to place for all hardware needs. If what you seek is unique it may likely be here. Browsing is enjoyable and the staff is knowledgeable and accessible and willing to share their expertise. A far more relaxing experience then Home Depot. A quality local business whuch has earned your support.

A traditional down home often missed hardware store, harkening back to earlier years. Friendly, knowledgeable staff with cookies often on the counter. Glad it relocated when Vanderbilt Lumber was sold. All for the home and office right here in New City for your convenience. An added benefit of not having to trek to the much less personable Home Depot or Loews. Good karma supporting a reputable local business.

I can ALWAYS depend on the people at Vanderbilt Hardware and Paint to assist me in finding the products I need to complete any job. The employees are beyond friendly and Christine is the BEST at helping me find colors to match any room, just by looking at pictures on my phone. Skip, the owner, has never failed to go the extra mile, ordering a product or answering questions. He has given me the confidence to speak to contractors with a base knowledge to ensure I make the right decisions when contractors come to estimate jobs in my home. Five stars for this company!

This is a fantastic place to shop for home repair needs. Skip and his staff have saved me from many a blunder with their helpful advice and detailed instructions. Theyve even given me referrals to service providers in the community for jobs beyond my abilities. One of the few places around that still have the old neighborhood feel.
