This place 😍😍😍 I have no words. They are simply the best. I am still in shock. I found my dream dress in just 2 hours. Ebony was the stylist a girl could only dream about. I felt so seen. I didn’t go in expecting to buy anything because I am so indecisive. But Ebony was patient and guided me through the process. She ended up showing me dresses that complimented my shape and figure. I live all the way in Texas and came up to do the bubbly appointment with my family and friends and the team still went above and beyond to make sure I found something in my budget that I loved. Absolutely fantastic experience at Bridal Trousseau. Yvonne helped me find the perfect dress and she was so sweet and patient and not to mention HELPFUL. I havent had my fitting yet, but I imagine it will be just as wonderful experience as finding my dress. I went in having only vague ideas about what I wanted, and Yvonne helped guide me find my perfect dress, but she wasnt overly opinionated nor did she push me into anything just gently guided me towards trying on things I might like, and narrowing in what I did and didnt like. Seriously, look no further for your wedding dress shop, Bridal Trousseau is amazing!

My experience at Bridal Trousseau was absolutely wonderful! I booked a private appointment for 2 hours and was able to bring five guests and we were given champagne and appetizers. We even had the entire boutique to ourselves! Vera was my assistant and she was amazing to work with. She was extremely knowledgeable, listened to exactly what I wanted, and provided her honest input. I ended up finding my dream dress and couldn’t have done with without the helpful staff at Bridal Trousseau.

I booked a private champagne appointment and it was completely worth it. I got my own room, and was able to bring a few people with me. They left a bottle of champagne and a tray of goodies. Yvonne was my stylist and she made the experience easy and fun. She listened to what I was in search for and found it. After searching 4 stores, I finally found my dress. She made me feel like a princess and welcomed all of my guests. I would suggest trying out a couple of other stores first and then coming here so you can truly appreciate what a great experience this was. Thanks for helping me find my dream dress!! XOXO!

My experience with the team at Bridal Trousseau was PHENOMENAL! I didn’t come in thinking I would find my dream dress but I visited during the Vandervelde trunk show and fell in love! Yvonne was careful, attentive, and patient! She connected with me and pulled amazing options that led to me finding the dress that I love! Matthew (the designer) was so helpful and so caring. I felt seen here, we weren’t rushed and never pressured, I truly felt like I was a part of the family ❤️ I am so glad I visited and I am so excited to be a BT bride!

My experience at BT was UNMATCHED! I worked with Vera and she was truly amazing in every way. Bridal Trousseau was my first experience with wedding dress shopping and my last! They helped me say yes to the most incredible dress! Vera listened to everything I wanted and more. She brought me through the process and constantly checked in with me and how I was feeling. I had a wonderful experience at Bridal Trousseau! I went in for a Champagne Toast appointment and worked with Eboni who was absolutely wonderful. Multiple other stylists and associates including the owner stopped in to say hello during the appointment and everyone I met was so kind and helpful. Eboni provided helpful guidance and support without being pushy and she really got my style from the very start. After a few other appointments elsewhere I went back to BT to try on my favorite dress one last time and was thrilled to say yes to the dress and support this fabulous local shop!

I had a friend go to this place for her wedding dress and a nightmare of an experience is an understatement. The owners were beyond rude when the alterations were completely wrong and the dress was completely snagged in the front. They refused to give her back the dress when she wanted, and mind you, her wedding is in TEN DAYS. Not only were the alterations extremely expensive, the measurements were entirely wrong & then blamed the bride for THEIR mistakes. She now has to take her dress elsewhere and spend more money on alterations that should have been right the first time around. NEVER GO HERE if you want your wedding dress to fit in time for the big day. I would give this place ZERO stars if I could.

Had an amazing time at Bridal Trousseau! My mom and I went for my first ever wedding dress shopping appointment and could not have had a better experience. We worked with Vera and Ebony who were the best- we honestly had a blast! They worked with us for over 2 hours and never put any pressure on us. Vera was very good at gauging what I liked/didn’t like and narrowing in on the perfect dress for me! I would 100% recommend this place based on my experience!

I purchased my dress in January and I am still thinking of the nice experience I had!Vera was so helpful on the phone prior to my appointment, she took notes about what I was looking for and the concerns I had about dress shopping. She was a fabulous consultant that gave great advice, explained different options very clearly, helped include MOB and MIL and celebrated with me when I said yes!I am really looking forward to continue working with the bridal team when my dress arrives for alterations and when I purchase my accessories!

(Married June, 2019) Such a wonderful shop. I spent months looking for a dress that would suit my style, the wedding, and my budget. BT was the first shop I visited (after a lot of research) and Im glad I did. From the beginning, the shop was very responsive with my emails. Upon visiting, I found Mel and her asst. to be so talented- out of 5 dresses, we found the one. I cant say enough about them- I honestly believe they could dress any bride beautifully- it must be their experience, which shows! In the end, it was them who chose a dress which I wouldve probably walked right by- until I tried it on. Love at first sight. I feel as though they can really dial in to what a bride is searching for and then find something that is also suitable to her personality and body type. And theres no air of snobbery/ eliteness that I was afraid of with other salons. They respect your budget and just want you to enjoy your choice. The ordering process was easy and every follow-up appointment was exceptional- I worked on a bit of a short timeline (I think roughly 5 months out) and everything was as smooth as butter. Alterations were expert-level. I have had alternations done elsewhere to a Bridesmaids dress before and the seamstress that works with BT is much better than what Ive experienced before. When I came for my fitting, the woman helping me was very detailed and spent so much time ensuring everything looked good from every angle. I also bought some hair pieces and a sash from BT and got a veil as a generous offer which saved me a bunch. At my wedding, my dress was raved about- and personally I spent a little less than I had budgeted for- what a success! You must visit B.T. if youre shopping for a wedding gown. Must must must! Of all the vendors I dealt with for my wedding, they earned first place.

The ladies at this store were absolutely amazing! Not only were the dresses beautiful but the experience topped it off! When I first arrived to this store, I had visited a couple of other stores in the state and the amount of time, energy and patience that was put in to helping me find the most perfect dress for my special day was beyond anything I could ever imagine. I just returned from my second visit to BT, where I just purchased my wedding dress. The experience with Vera was flawless from start to finish. Booking my first visit was so easy, and quickly followed by a phone call to confirm and get some details about how best to prepare based on what I’m looking for. Vera was so in tuned to my experience during both visits—I came alone to avoid bringing my mom & sister out in public (during the pandemic) and it really felt like I was shopping with a knowledgeable friend the entire time. Vera experimented with different styles, which gave me a great idea of what worked with my body and made me feel my best. After digesting the styles, I emailed Vera to send photos of some more styles I liked, she called soon after, and set our second visit. During my second visit, I arrived late and was worried that would set the tone for my visit.. I arrived ready to WORK as I didn’t want to keep anyone after closing time. Well.. Vera was ready.. she had a few dresses pulled, and didn’t rush me whatsoever, even though we were about 30 min from closing. The very first dress I tried on from her selection.. was the one. —FaceTimed my mom & sister— and they absolutely loved her selection too.Now that you’ve made it to the end of my novel.. I’d say the most important takeaway from my experience was that I could tell Vera truly cared about my experience. Within just a few minutes of being there, I knew I’d get my dress at BT, it was just a matter of which one. Thank you!

This place was amazing. An extremely large number of gowns of all price ranges and so many designers. There was plenty of space to perfectly view the gowns when trying them on as well as seating for your guests and the place was very clean! I also worked with Mel who found me my dream dress. She was amazing to work with an I could not be happier!

I had a great experience at Bridal Trousseau. There were multiple appointments going on but there was more than enough space for my entourage of five. I was assigned a consultant that was completely attentive to me and I was even given additional help from other available consultants. They had a great selection of gowns as paid attention to what I was asking for and found several great options for me to help figure out what I was looking for. The shop was well organized and I had fun and relaxed experience.

She even sent me a sweet thank you card in the mail saying that she was so grateful I trusted her with such a big decision—and the wedding dress is a huge part of the overall event! Bridal Trousseau has a wonderful selection of dresses, and I was able to find a dress that really fit my personality and style. Everyone complimented me on my dress, which was very elegant but moderately priced. Mel learned my name immediately and every time I visited Bridal Trousseau she seemed genuinely happy to greet me and whoever was accompanying me to the fitting. The fittings were quick and the alterations helped precisely transform the dress into the absolute perfect one for my body. The shop is small, but it is packed full of exquisite dresses, veils, and other accessories in the full range of styles. All the people I encountered there—from the owner to the tailor—helped make the process stress-free and fun!

I had a wonderful experience and found my dress, DAY one! I had made a reservation & when I showed up they referred to me by name as if wed met before. They offered water and champagne to me my mother and sister. There was a cute little reserve sign with my name on it infront of a huge mirror, my own little area. I told them my price range and style ideas and they brought me everything in both those categories. They were patient, kind and complimentary. I recommend this bridal boutique! Would NEVER recommend Bridal Trousseau and HIGHLY DISCOURAGE anyone from considering this shop! Despite this business recently being sold in Aug 2015 to its new owner that is nice woman, its evidently clear theres no managerial experience in the bridal industry.From the moment the business was sold & relocated from Branford to New Haven everything went downhill....All the dresses experienced delayed deliveries, the brides accessories (sash, veil, & corset) went missing for days, most fitting appointments werent kept or needed to be rescheduled, the alterations done by Bridal Trousseau on the bridal party & mother of groom dress all had to be corrected elsewhere and despicably this new shop in New Haven is so small that their restroom is being used for a fitting room.Fortunately after having to spend additional money elsewhere & much running around by myself (grooms mother) & the brides mother to ensure dresses were promptly properly altered, the kids wedding was a beautiful event thankfully.Moral of this story is that unless looking for unnecessary added stress or wanting to leave a bridal shop feeling ripped off, frustrated, disappointed & possibly in tears....Go anywhere but here!!!

Stay far, far away! I found my dress at Bridal Trousseau when it was in Branford, CT. At that time, I was very pleased with the service. However, a couple months after I bought my dress, the previous owner sold the business. It then moved locations to New Haven, CT. It was all down hill from there. I had multiple problems with my veil. I ordered my veil in May and did not receive it until March! Then my veil finally came in, it wasnt even the correct veil. Through all of the problems, I received many different reasons for why it took so long and why the order was incorrect. I felt lied to. This was honestly the WORST retail experience of my life. I would NOT recommend this bridal store to anyone.

I did not buy my wedding dress at Bridal trousseau because of budget reasons, but the staff was very welcoming and the dresses were beautiful. The owner shown me graduation dresses that were in my prices that looked great, but I just simply found a dress elsewhere. But I regretted afterwards, because if you buy your weddding dress at their store you can have their venue (called Inspired venue), that is beautiful for free!We had our wedding ceremony and the party at the Inspired venue and it was magical, the food was delicious and the place looks so great that there is almost no need for more decoration!Thank you to the staff and the owner that were all very helpful and polite all along.Keep on going like this!Helene

Thank you so much to BTs team for helping me select the most important dress of my life. I had several bridal appointments lined up for the day, including some bridal salons in NYC, and Bridal Trousseau was the first place we went to look for a dress. I didnt have to look much further after we went to Bridal Trousseau, because there was an incredible amount of dresses to select from and so many beautiful choices. I fell in LOVE with the second dress I tried on. Michelle was my stylist that day and she helped me pick the perfect accessories, including a belt, earrings and a bracelet that I wore on my wedding day. She was very helpful and never pushy. I loved the hand-written thank you note too that she sent after I chose my dress! She made the experience feel so personal. I also got my alterations done through BT and the dress ended up fitting perfectly. A bride can be a little anxious about the alterations leading up to the day, but BTs alteration team came through for me and made me feel gorgeous. Thank you again for all your help BT team. I would definitely recommend making sure you check out BT for your wedding gown and accessories - you wont regret it :) My now husband said he had never seen a more gorgeous bride, so I guess that is the highest compliment a bride could ask for. Again, thank you to BT and the owners Ide & Mel for helping me feel perfect for my BIG day!
