I called and was able to be seen same day and early. Dropped of my car and picked it up same day. Brian was very professional and helpful definitely knows what he is doing. Very rare to find a place where they dont try to rip you off. Very knowledgeable, good price and trustworthy. Definitely my new go to place for any of my car needs. Thank you

Brought my car in and Brian was very helpful. He didnt try to sell me anything extra, he just told me how it is. Shop is open Saturday. Brian also said they do all services for car repair. Id highly recommend this shop.

I recently was looking to get an inspection done, but when I called I was directed to the Meineke call center that said this location was permanently closed. Can anyone verify this?And if so, can someone share Brians contact information or shop he is currently at?

I have taken my vehicles to Brian at Meineke for years and have always been satisfied.. Brian was able to diagnose the problem (broken water pump, hole in exhaust) and was able to repair vehicle in a timely fashion.

I noticed the neon sign say they were open when driving past on my way to get groceries, then I noticed I needed an inspection. Took the chance to be a walk in without scheduling an appointment, put my mask on and was promptly helped. Oil change too, took about 30 minutes, very happy.

So far so good. Service was great and the repair to my muffler is okay.

I was very pleased with the work that was done. I had a new muffler put into my vechile. It was refreshing finding someone who is honest and professional, like Brian. Thank you!

I obtained a coupon for a basic oil change service at a participating Mineke. I called the Mineke service center and spoke to a lovely representative in order to find out which service location participated in the oil change special. Shortly after, she explained that she found a service shop and that I may book my appointment. I did, I told her thanks and proceeded to head to that particular Mineke. When I entered the shop I spoke to a manager who then quoted me double the price than what the coupon I had on hand exclaimed. (coupon expires in August 2020) The manager told me that they do not participate in the service special and not only that, as his words were it would be like me charging them for the oil change and it isnt worth it to them. This is a classic bait and switch. The ad lulls you into the shop and once youre there their own coupon special will NOT be honored. This is my last experience at Mineke, especially when I specifically took the time to call a service center and was told which specific Mineke participated in the ad special... Anyway Cheers! There are an abundance of reputable shops out there that do honor their own discounted rates. A simple quick Google search will yield them.

Called in to ask if they are able to mount my summer tires onto my rims and dismount my snows. Spoke with Brian and said that they do and told me the price. I went in a few minutes after speaking to him and the job was done at a decent time. Waiting about an hour and some change. It was fairly priced and it was good work. They balanced all four tires for me and I pretty much an OCD person when it comes to balancing cause even the slightest vibration I feel, Id take it back to get it rebalanced, however this was not the case here. It was literally perfect. Although the balancing was perfect, the wheel alignment needed some adjustments probably cause I went from snow tires to summer. Thankfully I have a lifetime alignment at another auto shop so I cant complain about the job my car went through here at this location. Would definitely consider coming back to get some other work done if needed and if the price is good.

I went there to ask for an estimate for a muffler and I didnt know it was going to be a bad experience. The bald guy that is there has a nasty attitude. Before he even lifted my car he knew i was asking for an ESTIMATE it doesnt mean I have to do it there thats why its called an ESTIMATE but this guy didnt even let me finish talk when he said that i was wasting his time just because i didnt have the time to do it at that moment. I told him that i was just asking for an ESTIMATE and that i was sorry for wasting his time. I guess he wasted my business . Bald guy you need to learn how to treat costumers.

As soon as I arrived the mechanic was attentive & knowledgeable. He really took the time to explain what was wrong with my car and fixed it on the spot .Thank you so much for your help . You were great!

Absolutely the worst experience for a simple oil change ever experienced.Bryan,the manager was rude and dismissive. Website used Bait & Switch,offering conventional oil change for 24.95.but Bryan said does not.offer,only have blended synthetic oil change for 36.95. Stay Away from this company.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Brian the owner (ignore spelling if incorrect!) as well as Larry in regards to my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee w/ burnt out alternator. Brian and his team are polite, reasonable and certainly well educated in their field. 10/10 would recommend these guys to anyone who doesnt want to be taken by one of those shady mechanics.

Just called Meineke at the New Hyde Park location and spoke to Brian. I asked Brian how much it would cost to have my brakes replaced. Simple question right, I gave him the make, model and year so youd think you get a price. Nope. Brian said I had to come in to have the car inspected first to see what it needs. I just told you what I need Brian, I need brakes. I then asked Brian for an estimate, Ballpark me Brian I said. Brian: No sir I can not give you a price you must bring in your car so we can tell you what you need. Hmm, I wonder why they arent willing to give me a price over the phone for brakes when I know all I need is brakes. Could it be that they are looking to find additional repairs I dont need or want. Based on this level of professionalism as well as their shady business practices I will not take my car here for anything and I do not suggest you do. Find an honest mechanic who wont try to bang you over the head with extra work you dont need. Ill do my best to let everyone in the New Hyde Park area know not to bring their car or truck to these people. Id give this a lower rating but I cant.

I recently had 2 flowmaster mufflers installed. Brian at front desk was Very friendly. They provided fast, efficient and great service. Larry did a great job on installation. I highly recommend this location.

I received a offer from t-mobile (loot Tuesday) offering a free basic oil change or $25 off any other oil change service. I contacted this location PRIOR to coming, the alleged owner asked if it was apart of the t-mobile offer and I stated yes. He then told me I didnt need an appt I could walk in. Well I walked in today 8/30/17 @ 1PM only to be told they do not participate in the free basic oil change but they do take $25 off the oil change. He refused to honor the offer for which I had an appt for this location, he was very dismissive.

I drove off with an $800 new set of brakes that did not solve my original problem.

They quoted me a price for a catback (minus catalyic converter), then didnt change the tailpipe because it was still good. Ummm, the price included the tail pipe, but they didnt change it. Wanted to charge me more for a new tail pipe once the old exhaust was already cut up. Then the CEL was on. Turns out they broke the oxygen sensor, and I had to pay for the replacement. Overpaid for that too! Manager Brian is a thief. Worker did a decent job welding the exhaust, but I wasnt happy with the price bait and switch from the manager. Get it in writing first! Or go to the Levittown location instead, had a couple of good experiences there.

I have come here for oil changes and a failng wheel bearing that made my car sound (not act) like it was powered by a jet engine. Larry the service manager was helpful and got the issue diagnosed and corrected for a fair price.

Ive been going to this shop since 2005 whenever I need exhaust work done, I usually speak with Larry the manager and get a fair price for superb work done on my car. Id absolutely recommend this shop.

I had no experience with these people. I barely stayed here 5 mins. The guy in the office(Larry) had a nasty attitude. He had no interest in helping me. He was asking me questions about the procedure, when it was entirely his job to know. And every time I asked questions, which is my right, because its my car, he answered it with sarcasm. He didnt even bother to look under my car, just gave me a price(which was a rip off). Thats it. Didnt ask me when I can bring it in or if I would like to set up an appointment. Nothing. He just continued doing his paper work and pretended I was dead. He pissed me off!!! I got the hell out of there bcuz I did not want to do business with rude, uncivil, impolite, discourteous, and impolite people. I dont understand why people gave them 5 stars. And I gave it a 1 bcuz zero wasnt an option.

I made an appointment in advance for an oil change and they wouldnt take me when I arrived. Waste of time and no sense of hustle.

They did my inspection last year...but it was obvious that they didnt inspect anything, as one of my wheels literally fell off while driving days later.

Had issues with strut work after new management took over in 2016 I believe, Jerry no longer own/works at this location. I will update after having additional experiences.

The guy at the front desk (Larry or Jerry or whatever he called himself) is EXTREMELY rude and will also try to rip you off. Take your business elsewhere. Will never visit again, nor will I ever refer someone here. Its not as if this is the only auto shop in the town, let alone downstate NY.
