My 25-year-old daughter was on a quest to get into a smaller SUV and took a liking to the Volvo XC40. It was apparent that Volvo introduced this sporty new design to attract the younger generation. As a Dad helping in her quest and having experience of many new vehicle purchases over the years, we agreed to pursue this choice even though it would be a bit of a reach for her financially.I steered this purchase toward a new 2019 leftover model, with 2020s already on Dealer lots, to get her numbers closer to the maximum budget. However, she was only focused on the extremely appealing R-Design, being a more pricey Trim level. With her based in western CT, we knew inventory would be limited for a desired Black Stone color. Our search took us to Volvo Dealer Inventories in CT, MA, RI NH & ME with differing MSRP variations.Due to the vast locations of choices, we needed to communicate through the Internet to get pricing to meet our needs. Although everyone was quick to respond with a great range of discount figures, some were obviously not as competitive.Fast forward - Secor Auto Group - Volvo was one of the remaining 4 Dealers who was willing to work with us. Our initial Internet Sales contact was Rob Dupont. He listened carefully to our needs. His prompt communication, along with answering the phone each and every time we called, was beyond expectation. Robs liaison skills were insurmountable as he had to go back and forth to confer with his Sales Manager - Frank Foley numerous times to tweak some critical numbers. My daughter and I felt guilty bothering Rob so much, but he never sounded to be disturbed by us interrupting his busy day with other customers. With great promise here at Secor Volvo, we placed the other anxious Dealers on hold while Rob also worked with the Finance Manager - Anthony Gonci to see what interest rates would be available once the actual credit application was put in motion. This was a key factor as well to stay within budget. We worked out a final number that my daughter would be comfortable with and everything was a go at this point.So, of all days to make a vehicle purchase, we headed over to New London CT the day before Thanksgiving to finalize the purchase, whereas others were out purchasing Turkeys for the next day. Rob greeted us once we arrived and assigned Steve Matters - Sales Professional to help us with the vehicle delivery aspects. Soon we sat with Anthony to complete the Financing paperwork. He did a great job upselling us on a wheel protection package (lol), but was able to keep us within a reasonable budget at the same time, so it was much appreciated. Afterward, Steve was instrumental to give my daughter some pointers and pair up her phone immediately. He did an awesome job! During this time, Frank Foley had been ill while setting aside some time to make things happen with this purchase process, so we want to express our thanks in the absence of meeting with him.I have purchased many new vehicles in my day and have worked with some pleasurable people at Dealerships. However, I can assure anyone reading this review from the heart, these four professional individuals - Rob, Frank, Anthony & Steve - have gone the extra mile to get my Daughter into a far reach Volvo XC40 R-Design. They have invested their efforts to gain a Secor Volvo customer for life. I had a great feeling working with Rob right from the beginning and was right about placing my other price shopping deals on hold to gear my loyalty to hopefully solidify my Daughters purchase here. Many of us focus on receiving the best possible deal, but let me save you some time - just shop your next purchase at Secor Auto Group to experience a team like I myself, never have before! I called in reference to a charger that was for sale. I dealt with Laura who was able to answer my questions, gave me a quick number for reference and was able to send me the window sticker for the vehicle. She did a great job and didn’t make me feel any pressure. Unfortunately, we went in a different direction but it had nothing to do with the dealership but rather the packages that were on the car. From the interaction that I had I recommend them.
Had my regular service (oil change, tire rotation etc) at Secor Volvo Mitsubishi. Everything was excellent - right down to charging my low battery. Everyone was friendly! The gentleman that vacuumed and washed my car did an amazing job! Talked with a very nice gentleman for a little while - Julian let me know that if I ever wanted, he could bring me to the mall and back! The waiting area was comfortable with a television, coffee and donuts! Would definitely recommend the service department.

After an unfavorable experience at another Connecticut-based Volvo dealership, I turned to Secor to lease my new V60. The team at Secor was incredibly professional and accommodating. We conducted the entire transaction online and there were no surprises in pricing, rates, features, or availability. William was incredibly courteous and knowledgeable. He wasnt pushing or overbearing the way some sales associates can be. He recognized what I was looking for and worked well with clear direction. He worked completely via email, respecting my communication preferences.Anthony did an excellent job as the finance manager. He was clear, prescriptive, and didnt try to sell me packages that didnt make sense. He evoked trust and confidence and was a pleasure to work with.I felt like we received a fair price and terms and was glad to give them our business!
Nick and his service crew did a great job. My battery died over a weekend at a moment when I had a plane to catch. Stephen made arrangements for me to drop the car over the weekend, for service on Monday. Service department kept me up to date about things needed and costs. They were very helpful and the car was all ready to go when I returned from my trip. Terrific experience.

First we got the best car we have ever had. I am 64, & my wife is 78...so that is saying something!But then to only need a service once a year compared to the old days of every 4-6 months is really awesome!But then to have been able to but this 2016 Volvo XC-70 at 0% interest, and all these services are free is something that is truly extraordinary. It has felt like we won the lottery with every aspect of the Volvo, Secor sales, & service dealership. Everyone had been kind, very friendly, knowledgeable, and well trained in terms of customer service.The cherry on top of everything I have already said is that you also washed & vacuumed the car with every one of our services! WOW!!!We have told and shown our car to many hundreds of our friends & family—letting them know how wonderful this Volvo & Secor dealership experience has been! I felt at home the minute I drove in. They were so welcoming and friendly. Even though I was buying a Subaru at a Mitsubishi dealer, they were very knowledgeable about the car and it’s features. Brian was a great sales rep to work with and everyone there made the process a pleasure and I LOVE my 2016 Subaru Legacy.

Went to secor cause they had a Buick I was looking at online . Never bought a car from a dealership before always bought from private owners didn’t know what to expect but they made it very easy and even stayed late on a Saturday to make sure I got to take it home that day couldn’t be happier with the car and the dealership, excellent experience
I have have more than my share of back experiences at other dealerships while trying to purchase a car. My husband and I came over after walking out of another bad experience from another dealer. We test drove 2 cars, and bought one all within an hour! We were treated very respectfully here, which doesnt happen often. Bob and Will made the dreaded car buying experience a piece of cake! Sales manager tried to instill fear in me by letting me know that the timing belt in my car could fail any day now (without even looking at it of course). He told me it would make more sense to just buy a new car instead of replacing the belt. What nonsense. After hearing this, I ended up replacing the belt (which was still in good condition by the way).Parts guy who was working here in 2014 was not the most personable over the phone and had a take it or leave it attitude.
Took care of all that a needed no stress. Cant beat the price.service was done promptly and with a smile. Would recommend to anyone.

I HAVE TO CALL SEVERAL TIMES TO TRICK THE SERVICE LADY JULI. SHE NEVER PICKS THE PHONE UP AND STATES THAT SHE WAS BUSY WHEN SHE CALLS BACK OR IF I GET THROUGH. BUT WHEN I GO THERE SHE IS TOO BUSY STANDING AROUND DOING A WHOLE BUNCH OF NOTHING. THIS LAST TIME WAS IT, SHE WAS RUDE TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER WHEN I WALKED IN AND I HATE TO SAY ANYTHING BUT THIS IS THE LAST STRAW. I had the most positive experience ever. I am in the military and I am stationed in Texas. I decided to buy a car for my mom. My mom had her 75th B-day. I had a certain budget and I approached about 15 car dealers including Hartford, Middleton, Groton, Norwich, Old Saybrook and numerous places in New London and only Volvo was willing to work with me. I had THE best sales person. Her name is Christine Littlefield. I was in Texas and I was able to conclude my sale long distance. She was outstanding. She needs to be THE salesperson of the year. She even helped to surprise my mom, she put a big huge red ribbon on the car…the best experience ever…first class customer service.

IT a shame when a used car manager know nothing of a customer service, i called in on Friday Jun 15th and talked to used car manager, and we agreed on a price to purchase a vehicle and offered him to put a deposit, he clearly stated there is no need to and that he would send me Bill of sale and then i can transfer the full amount, surprisingly he started not responding to my emails or phone calls and it got to the point he even hang up the phone on me when he knew i was on the line !
