Having installed quite a few kitchens and bathrooms in my life, Im always skeptic about hiring people to do work for me. Finding good quality craftsman having been one is very challenging. Jose communicated very well, worked with our schedules, and did a fantastic job on our counters. I highly recommend Jose and will be doing business with him and Art of Stone again.

Arts of Stone recently completed a bathroom vanity for me. I was lucky to find the perfect piece on the lot and it was completed within a week. Jose completed my kitchen countertops 10 years ago so I went back and glad I did.

I had a great experience from beginning to end with Jose. He is a fast talker but sells beautiful quartz and does a beautiful job cutting, polishing and installing it. I felt completely taken care of and would recommend him again to others. he also subcontracted Daniel to do all of the plumbing work and he is also an amazingly, honest man.

Jose Lima did a phenomenal job with our bathroom countertop. The countertop was one of the last pieces of our puzzle and went into arts of stone thinking that it would take a few weeks to complete the project. I went to several granite places, and I am so glad I went with Jose at Art of Stone.My kitchen was challenging. I did not want to change my backsplash on one wall, and changing from Formica to granite would have left a gap.Jose built up my cabinets so there was no gap.In addition my other wall that I wanted a back splash was not straight and Jose cut the wall so that it fit. He didn’t rush and didn’t leave until the job was done and I was happy. I highly recommend Art Of Stone.

We are so unbelievably pleased with our experience with Jose and Arts of Stone. He is a true craftsman, and is wonderfully accommodating to his clients. We purchased a beautiful granite countertop and Jose quickly fabricated it for installation. He encountered difficulty with the installation (as it related to our tiled backsplash) and spent hours at the house with our contractor to resolve the issue before leaving for the day. When we thought we had an issue the day after installation, Jose immediately came back to the house to help (and it turned out we didnt have an issue after all). He is gracious and kind. We had our kitchen countertops installed by Arts of Stone and are extremely happy with them! Jose Lima completed our template and installed the stone in less than a week. We went back several months later for a stone for under our wood burning stove and he cut and polished it to perfection! It looks beautiful! We will use Arts of Stone for our next project.

Did my countertop a year ago. Was a difficult transaction from the minute I signed paperwork. The seams can be seen. Just noticed today, they look even worse. 😔

The owner seems nice at first, but he has an anger issue. He had a fit of rage because I put $500 down on a piece of scrap, was told I wasnt married to buying it, and when asked if he would refund my money when I saw the stone was weak and not good for what I needed it for (they should be educated on this, but arent), he went crazy. This was while I was trying to find something else to use MY money toward (he claimed I was taking money from HIS FAMILY when it was MY MONEY that HE was holding without providing me with any kind of service or product). He claimed he didnt know how to use the credit card machine to refund (and, apparently, his employee doesnt know how to either..both claimed they had a lack of knowledge in refunding). What you have here are liars. They try to suck you in, get you to give them money, and refuse to refund. Well, they arent above the law, and thats the issue I have right now. No service. No products. Hello? Refund my money. When I was attempting to find some tile, thats when he blew up to a point where I knew business couldnt be done. Can you imagine if you had a complaint about a job what this person would do? I filed a complaint regarding the whole issue with the BBB and NO response. So, thats on file now. Next step is court. Ill retract if they ever do the right thing, but take your business elsewhere until these people get their act together.

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!! Please save yourself the time, money, and Stress. We showed up when their listing said they were opened and they were closed. We called and didnt get a call back. Finally 2 days later we got a hold of them. We should have just went else where. So after finding the stone we wanted, we had them come out and measure. Here is where it starts to go down hill. So they send us a quote that we agree to, and give them a deposit and schedule the install. So we start the demo on our counter tops to get them ready for the new counter top. A day before the installation the owner calls us and tells us it is going to be $1200 more than what they had quoted us. This is because of a measurement issue. my wife tells him that it is now out of our budget and need to cancel the order. He immediately starts screaming at my wife who at the time was pregnant. He refused to cancel the order because he said that the piece was already cut. why wouldnt he tell us the adjusted price before making the cut. after a few days of fighting with the owner and not wanting to flat out lose our initial deposit we were forced to have them install the counter top. So he arrives to install the counter with what must be his 12 year old son. they bring in the counter and realize it does not fit, so instead of bringing it back and re cutting it, they decide to cut my walls to make it fit. The counter top was not the part of the slab that we initially paid for, they cut into my walls, and charged us for extra stone that we ended up not needing. The Cherry on top was at the end of it all the owner wanted us to pay cash!!! The owner was very rude and a scam artist. This was the worst experience I have had working with a small company. I would never do business with them ever again. To this day I still get mad every time I drive past their store.STAY AWAY!!!

Jose Lima is a true old school artist and he lived up to it throughout our whole experience with Arts of Stone. He explained all facets of the installation before beginning with no last minute surprises.The countertops were finished in just a week after making the template as promised. I watched as he and his crew installed the granite and he explained every detail including a lesson on how to make an invisible seam. And it was, only being visible when light came in the widow at a particular angleWhen done we did the coin test, zooming a quarter across the length of the countertop it did not wiggle, skip or even make a click as it crossed the seam.Overall, we were greatly pleased with his work and would recommend Arts of Stone to anyone.

After shopping a few local options for countertops, my wife and I decided on Arts of Stone because the customer service and personal touch were unmatched. The owner, Jose Lima, was enthusiastic and eager to please. He was willing to dedicate his time solely to our search for the perfect stone from the first time we stepped foot in his shop. We decided on a white and blue veined quartzite countertop with the ogee edging for our kitchen, and we could not have been more pleased with the work of art that he created for us. We were especially pleased that we could put a face to the business, unlike most other shops or big box competitors. Jose discussed our estimate and options, came to our house to measure the template, allowed us to hand select the stone and placement of each edge (we chose to put the most veining in our island), and he was there to install the counter as well. That kind of personalized service is something that no one else in the area was able to match.

This company has done a TERRIBLE job on my granite. I would rate them a zero if I could. The stone is filmy and they first tell me its the sealer and then they say its the stone, now they say they cannot see it. The company is unreliable, does not show up when they say, rude, and horrible to do business with. Save yourself time and aggravation, do business elsewhere. I am filing a consumer fraud complaint as well as Better Business Bureau complaint.

Please, please do yourself a favor and do not go to this place. Look at all the other reviews-just horrible!!!Jose Lima is the owner and the person who gave us the initial estimate. He was going to do my countertop for the kitchen island. I spoke to his assistant Anna and she told me they were going to charge me $4200 for everything: ordering a new stone, templating and stone removal. I went ahead and gave him my credit card #. He charged me half of the deposit which was $2500. He came to template my island and never once mentioned a word that there is going to be a change in the price. He packed his tools and said he will order the stone. He called me few days later saying that the stone had arrived and that hes sending me a new invoice. A new invoice, I said??? For what? He told me that my measurments were off and i added a small radius. He said that the new invoice is going to be over $7000. I just couldnt believe it!!! I couldnt believe that he ordered a stone without proposing the final price with me. Even if my measurements were little off it was his responsiblity to inform me of any significant variation in the price before moving forvard with ordering the stone. I thought I was going to pay him a little extra money because of the new measurements, but he never once mentioned anything and then increased the price to 70% without contacting me. Who the hell does that??? I would never have gone with this place if i knew that he was going to charge me so much for some kitchen island. I told him i wanted to cancel the order and that I would like my money back. He then proceeds to claim that i owe him $1400 for his time. Each time i spoke to him he was adding a different price to the transation, literally! He refused to refund us ( at this point $2500 of deposit I gave him) so I had to get the credit card company involved, which has taken so much time and effort. I found another amazing/trustworthy place who have ordered the same stone and included everything for $4700. They even said i have 3 days to return the stone once it gets here if I dont like it for no additional coast.This whole experience has been a complete disaster!!! I have wasted so much time and effort. Hes dishonest and does not know how to treat his customers nor how to do a business. I have no idea how this awful place can stay in business. Please do yourself a favor and dont go there.
