Didnt take pictures of the limoges because its kind of their business. The woman helping us out was so friendly and passionate about these collectables ... worth visiting for sure.

Quite expensive! And the woman there, don’t know if she’s the owner or employee, but not friendly at all

A nice little antique shop run by knowledgeable collectors. I ended up with a antique buggle for under $20, which while not musician quality, still left me pretty happy. Also saw some amazing but expensive peices, and the owner was happy to explain about everything.

The lovely lady, who waited on me, was very helpful and informative. The shop’s merchandise was both affordable and high end. There is something for everyone in this shop. I especially liked the walking sticks. Also, a great price range with the canes and walking sticks.

This was our second trip to NOLA in five months and I couldnt wait to pay a return visit to The Brass Monkey on Royal St. This quiet, unobtrusive yet charming little shop is a gem and there are always unique treasures to be found at reasonable prices and a delectable array of chocolates, in addition to a world-class collection of Limoges boxes and antiques that will entice the most discriminating collector. Camille, the manager of the shop, is a sheer delight and very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Step back in time at The Brass Monkey and youll have a friend for life!

Great quirky little shop. Lots of interesting trinkets, and they loved informing us all about them, and encouraged us to try items out for ourselves.

The attendant had no knowledge of what was being sold. She was rude when I asked if they sold snuff to go inside the multitude of snuff boxes which are on the shelves. She replied with a snark comment along the lines that snuff is below the class of the shop owners. Yet they sell the containers, go figure. She then proceeded to tell me where she thought I was from, guessing wildly and fallowing it up with reasons why I was from there. Pathetic experience in this shop with the old attendant. The pieces are nice if you are interested in collecting this type of peripheral, hence the one star.

The chocolate wasnt great for the price. The interior has lots of very cute little knick knacks and walking sticks though if you are looking for that sort of thing.
