I wish I could leave ABSOLUTELY NO STARS! This location is very incompetent! We ordered doors and windows to be delivered to our home being built. They were ordered well over 2 months ago. We called to have them scheduled for delivery. This has been a complete nightmare. We received the doors, after being assured that both doors and windows were on the way that morning at 8am. The driver called at 12pm and stated the interstate was closed for whatever reason(as if this could not be researched) this was a lie! The driver did not want to deliver out. When we told him we knew the interstate was open, he immediately assured us that he was on his way. We received ONLY the doors, no windows at 7pm! We are getting the runaround for our windows. The carpenter has been waiting for these windows for two days now and we are told that we may have to wait more days. They are horrible! J.D. was the manger that was also UNHELPFUL AND UNCONCERNED!

Well organized and kept clean friendly place... You can ask for help with out the worker getting smart or an attitude about it...

Yes I do shop every once in awhile there they have nice light fixtures and various shopping sometime I never know what Im going to buy in there but they always seem to have it Whatever It Is

I would prefer to shop at a smaller mom and pop store where i can get a little more personalized help but Home Depot does have a wide selection.

I normally LOVE going to Home Depot but 1 problem affected me badly.I needed a lobby broom/dustpan.I found 2 hidden...1 new another OBVIOUSLY used as if for staff use.I rushed to the cashier only to find a problem with scanner and cashier had sent me to customer service.Customer service had told me that the items werent supposed to even be in this store and refuse to let me buy neither new broom or the staffs used broom.The rating is because the lobby broom/dustpan was supposed to be a gift for some hard workers I cared about, that broom is HARD to find in stores and that the customer service representative would rather send items that werent supposed to be in this store away then let the store make a FREE profit even from used item.

This Home Depot always out of stock on items always have to drive 20 minutes to Chalmette to get what your looking for when this Home Depot is 5 minutes away!!!!!

I always choose Home Depot over all the other home product stores. The Gentilly Lowes store is nearer to me but every time I go there the store attendants always seem to be hiding from me. Even the ones I see, they rarely acknowledge me so I have to chase them down and more times than not they rarely know much about the products in their store that I ask them about. I usually drive to the New Orleans East Home Depot because their customer service attendants always acknowledge my presence. Many times Im pleasantly surprised by their store reps approaching me to ask can I assist you with anything? This week I went there to get some home exterior paint. There were so many choices I didnt know where to start. A very nice lady named Joy asked me if she could help me and I was glad she did! She was a wealth of info and seemed to know everything there was about painting products! I highly recommend her for painting concerns! The Home Depot stores are not as brightly illuminated as the Lowes stores and many have told me that was the reason why they chose Lowes BUT Home Depot reps know their products, know their inventory and go the extra mile to assist you. I highly recommend Home Depot (New Orleans East).

I find it amazing how people work in places and dont take the time to learn anything thats how I felt at the home depot on the service road in new Orleans east I spoke to 3 people and only 1 person could answer my question and help me find what I need and he is the only reason why I gave this place 3 stars

Bad customer service lazy employees needs new management

Typical Home Depot review. For me, these stores have thus far always had the same level of satisfactory inventory, helpful employees, fast checkout.

Zero help, when I tried to flag a employee down she just waved and kept walking. I called the store I could see customer service pick up the phone when I said I needed help in the isle I was in she said oh ok, put me on hold and went back to chatting up someone at the counter . I got the attention of a cashier asked her to page someone she did but sounded like she had marbles on n her mouth . Got the attention of another cashier she paged someone, but when he did arrive I was waving that I needed the help he stopped and asked if the two guys nearest him needed the help they said yes and off he went when he passed by I said I was the one needing the help he seemed I wanting to help . It would have been faster if I went down to the ladders and climbed up to get the item I needed . This is one of the worst Hone Depot’s I have ever been in . Zero customer service they seem to be color oriented and I was the wrong color. Sad . I try to believe that doesn’t happen but here it did .

The service is horrible. Even the manager stands around talking instead of assisting his customers. He thought talking to his friend about kidneys were more important! One young lady help as much as she could, but it was the manager responsibility to aasist and look in the storage room and he didnt do that right..forgot to inform me as to he couldnt find it..and left me waiting in the front! Horrible service!! And not on just one occasion. This review if for the HD in the east.

I ordered online late last night for curbside pickup and received an email shortly after the store opened my order was ready. I couldnt figure out how to check in for curbside, but an awesome employee was outside and came over to my car to see if I needed help. He took my info, got my order, and bright it right back out to me. I would def use their curbside again, even if they are trying to figure out the logistics. Great Service!

There is never anyone to help in a timely manner and to top it off, if you do by chance find some assistance its not in stock. But the Home Depot app shows 14 in stock on the isle.

Dose anyone else notice that this location has much less than other locations. I left this location and went to a more diverse neighborhood. If you know what I mean and the other stores had more with more helpful workers. They really treat the people in NO east bad.

Always ready to assist you. Employees know their products, very knowledgeable. Easy checkouts. Only five minutes away, who ask for anything more.

Staff isnt very helpful. Corvid guidelines being followed but beyond that basic knowledge of where anything is or could be eluded people. And asking questions got me strange looks as if asking for assistance was foreign

In store shopping is now allowed but total number of people are controlled at the front door. Wish they would hire more knowledgeable staff to help guide you.

It has gradually gone down hill, I can only assume because of lack of business. No open registers, four self checkouts which is fine except when the register messes up and you need actual help.Lowes recently closed and so they are the closest box store for home renovation needs and they could be doing more business if they actually managed the location better.

I oder and paid a grill for pickup. Drove from Mandeville to N.O East, only to get a call while waiting in the store at costomer service saying they didnt have the grill I ordered and paid for.

Its a little bit of a off center of what it was when it first came to the location. The company remove most of the employees and put in a lot of self service machines and not a lot of personal service and the employees are doing a great job and multi tasking to get the job done. I dont believe in self service machines because it takes a way jobs. The employees are very friendly and helpful. I pick up a temperature thermometer for the wall to control the heat and air conditioning unit. And I like the way it works.

Do not like this store. You can never go back and find accessories for items that you buy. We have a shower kit in our shower that we cannot up-grade or change out since hurricane Katrina.

I initially tried returning a bi fold door but was told I couldnt (installers had painted it white). But after my online email to customer service, the manager immediately responded and graciously offered a refund. You might have to look for floor personnel on occasion, but no difference from anyplace else.
