After my experiences with the Walgreens in the N.O. area I’m done with them completely but this store in particular is the worst. They make up their own rules for coupons and Walgreens cash that the company it self doesn’t uphold. I’ve had to call customer service more than once to find out and I hate doing that. I’ve worked retail and it sucked so I feel for the employees BUT that doesn’t excuse terrible customer service. Today was my last time going to Walgreens period after I was told that I could only use $5 of my $11 dollars in Walgreens cash when the fine print says it can be used in $1, $5, $10 intervals and so on. Was told “that’s how the store does it”..ok...came home and contacted customer service and was told..no..that’s not how the store does it and they are not sure what happened but the manager in the store would have had to fix the problem. Instead of going through all that I’m just done with them cause this isn’t the first time at this store. I placed a online order and 2 minutes later was told it was canceled with no reason. Thinking they were out of the product I went in the store and they were well stocked. I used a coupon that time also so pretty sure that’s why. Not sure why the employees are so hard up to save a billion dollar company that pays them pennies a few extra dollars. Just save your time and go across the street.
Just went to this place today. It was the second time Ive gone first time was for my COVID shot. So I go back to this same store for my second one on the date stamped on the back of my card for a second dose and got turned away. Said I needed an appointment. Walgreens makes it really hard for people like me who are skeptical about this shot. Also another Walgreens told me that they were wrong for doing that because of that same reason. So my recommendation is never go to this poorly subpar Walgreens.
My only complaint is that the wait times to pick up (or drop off if you do not do it online or by phone) are unreasonably long. You have to spend an inordinate amount of time there, 20 minutes or 1/2 hour are not uncommon. Sometimes I turn around and decide I will try the next day. If a hurricane hits and you have put off picking up because of the unreasonable wait, the store is now closed for a week, and I am out of my heart medication. Lets hope for the best.
Wow. Thanks for showing me how to not give two shts about a job. And I thought the other times I went there were a fluke, no you just dont care, ever. Stood 40 min in line for a drink, and there was like 5 customers in front of me. At one point a girl was in the middle of being checked out and the cashier just walked off for 5 min. Awesome.
I called to ask a question that was not available to be answered with the robot.Because the robot could not answer my question I was hung up on twice.
Should not even get the one star! Worlds worst customer service. They like to change policies that fit them at the time. Not my first horrible experience at this location but will be the last!! I love shopping at Walgreens so it makes me so upset that this location lets the employees act the way they do to the customer and then when you call the “store manager” she gives you an attitude also! I shop at Walgreens once to twice a day, this location will not be ever on my radar EVER AGAIN!
Really, these people have to improve, hopefully the manager can see the comments and ratings of this pharmacy. A day like today at this time the pharmacy was very busy there were more than 10 people to pay for an item and there is only one cashier. I had to go to the pharmacy in front of the cvs, besides they have auto boxes to pay for myself and their staff is definitely more polite and helpful.
Unfortunately, I am not a huge fan of this Walgreens but its the only pharmacy that most regularly carries my prescription so I dont have much of a choice. I have been using this Walgreens for two years now and each time I get frustrated with them, I convince myself it will be different next time but it never is, so finally, after giving them countless opportunities, I am leaving a review. What bothers me the most is that the pharmacy is always JAMMED packed, which wouldnt bother me as much if they would just open before 9 am. What working person can wait until 9 am to visit the pharmacy? Instead, you have no choice but to wait in a 30 min line after work. By the way, going inside is your best bet. Yes, you will still have to wait 30 min, but its better than the 50 min wait you will have to endure if you choose to use their drive-thru.After you wait in line for countless minutes, they will often tell you they DONT have your medications and will have to order it. Okay, I get it. Sometimes you just get unlucky. Any easy solution to avoid this next time would be to call them ahead and see if its in stock, right? WRONG! They wont offer you that information, instead, you must waste your time by going in person. They wont even call other pharmacies on your behalf to check their stock. Im not sure if this is a Walgreens policy for state law but either way, its incredibly inconvenience and just seems downright absurd.Lastly, know that if you call the pharmacy, you will NOT get through. The automated voice service will do anything possible to deter you from speaking to someone. The best way to get someone on the phone is to keep pressing 0 and then waiting on hold for an hour and a half until the technicians get tired of seeing you on hold.I would NOT recommend this pharmacy if you have a choice!
Find new management tons of items marked on sale that arent. I asked the manager to get me a small bottle of patron that was on sale for 13.99. I get to the register and it wrang up 26.99. He argued that I was wrong and pulled the the sale tag off and told me I was wrong. This guy was useless. Terrible experience I will go to a different one even though I live a few blocks away. Terrible service .
Horrible experience at the pharmacy. I called and asked for a prescription status . I was told it was ready. My husband went to pick up and was told it’s not ready because it is not in stock. When I called again I was told it’s ready according to the system . I asked if they could physically confirm if the prescription was there because not 5 min ago we where told they ran out. The pharmacy staff on the phone said it’s there in a rude tone of voice And said she just walked in and doesn’t know. I asked for her name and she hung up! I called again . Staff reported the prescription is ready and hung up ...
Slow, rude, incompetent. The cashiers dont care and are mostly rude with an occasional exception. Im SO relieved my new insurance allows me to go to the CVS across the street now. For a while I could only go here. Now I go for small runs but its honestly just an easier experience at CVS. Also they didnt restrict access to the store at all during the peak of covid, and still arent now, unlike the CVS, which did.
I went into Walgreens to pick up my prescription. I noticed that once I left 30 pills had been taken from my narcotic prescription. I called the pharmacy staff immediately. I was advised to return which I did the very same evening. I waited and waited thinking this was a simple fix or mixup. However, after waiting I found out that the pharmacist was doing a count, supposedly. She told me that it was accurate and there was nothing that they could do and to come back on Monday. To no avail the Pharmacy Manager KAREN seemed not interested in my concerns and I was basically not taken seriously. I definitely know that my medication was taken by one of their employees. Make sure that you count your medication before you leave Walgreens. Factual information, My medicine was stolen by one of their pharmacist or an employee technician who handles prescriptions (30 pills). Please beware of their lack of sensitivity and concern when your medicine goes missing at Walgreens located at S.Claiborne and Napoleon. There is nothing that can be done when it is stolen by one of their employees! Terrible experience for me personally and I will NEVER have a prescription filled at this Walgreens location!
The worst customer service ever. Ive had issues for years w/my phone number working so price wouldnt ring up right, I just asked to sign up for a new card. Cashier had a meltdown over # not working. Manager acted like she could care less. Both ignored my repeated requests for a new card. They also wouldnt honor the current sale tag on my purchase.
Today, Wednesday, July 19 2017, I entered this Walgreens store (4400 S. Claiborne). I was stopped by the security guard and asked to turn over my book bag. I wasnt crazy about the idea but I understand that stores like that experience a lot of theft. When I asked the security guard where my book bag would be stored, I was told either on top of the ATM or along a wall, and that no one would be watching it because she needed to circulate the store. I was not satisfied with that option because it put my belongings, as one individual, at risk in an effort to spare the products of a national drugstore chain. Still, in an effort to remain agreeable, I requested that my book bag be put behind the register with the cashiers after I removed my phone and wallet. The security guard and cashiers agreed. After I stored my belongings I went further into the store to begin shopping. I noticed that there were two white customers: one with a huge shoulder bag and one specifically with a book bag that were shopping freely-free from harassment and profiling. I (a teacher returning from a training) walked in with a spring dress, cardigan and pearl earrings. I just happen to have brown skin and a book bag. The white customer with the book bag had on shorts, a T-shirt and sneakers. What about her book bag suggested that it wouldnt be crammed full of stolen Walgreens products as opposed to mine that apparently screamed, Stop me at the door!? I turned right back around, picked up my things and told the security guard that she missed a few bags and walked out. I later reported it to the manager of the store after I made my purchase at the CVS across the street (smiles, no profiling, and one person even asked me if I needed help finding anything – imagine that!) and explained why. She apologized and offered me a gift card if I would return. I offered some advice: train your security guards so that every customer feels safe and respected. Very disappointed.
Poorly run. They certainly hate their customers with a passion.
I had a wonderful experience with one of the cashiers! She was very sweet and I knew she was dealing with a lot of other things going on in the store and she handled it well. I forgot what her name was, but she was great! The pharmacy, however, has some of the rudest workers I’ve ever come across. They are ALWAYS in a bad mood. You call in to ask a question about a prescription being ready and they are incredibly passive aggressive, you go up to the counter and they’re passive aggressive, it’s ridiculous. The only thing I’m super lenient with is that horrendous drive thru. The microphone doesn’t work so they have to yell, which I totally agree with their attitude on that one! That seems like it sucks. I understand it may be understaffed and busy a lot, and everyone has their off days, but every time I come in it’s always a poor experience over there.
Cant ever get anyone to answer the phone here and its just as bad in person. I dont know why I even bother trying to get a prescription filled here. Avoid.
I like the pharmacy staff. Theyre friendly and try to work with you if there are any issues. The phone service always lets me know when my prescriptions are ready and ordering refills using it is a breeze. Ive never been profiled in the store. Staff has usually been friendly and helpful (all ethnicities). There are a few beggars outside every now and then but nothing scary.
Worlds worst walgeens a miserable shopping experience. Avoid! Cashiers mostly rude.😚
Slow, ghastly service at the pharmacy. The pharmacist and staff are helpful and pleasant to deal with. But theyre severely understaffed. Also, though theyve worked great in the past, the email refill system is now all screwed up. Walgreens is no longer worth the time and aggravation.
Staff is nice, but location is really busy. Was on hold for over 20 minutes just to refill a prescription. Hit or miss with homeless outside asking for money. Some days there is, some days there isnt. Thats New Orleans, though.
Decent selection, store hours are pretty good. On site armed security. customer service is average.
When I went to pick up the prints I had ordered, I was told the employees coworker had forgotten to process them. The woman offered no apologies and told me she would start them. She asked if I was going to wait on the prints. When I asked how long it would take, she rudely told me a while because I had 150 prints. I understand that mistakes happen, but I was treated quite rudely, as if I were the one inconveniencing her. Normally my experiences are neither good nor bad at this store, but today was quite an unpleasant experience.
The times I visited the pharmacy I was treated with kindness
What’s not to love? The half dozen homeless people begging outside, the world’s SLOWEST pharmacy, incompetent, slow moving employees? Don’t waste your time. Go to the cvs across the street.
Floor staff is friendly and helpful. Well stocked store but the pharmacy is slow to fill prescriptions.
This Walgreens has the rudest pharmacy associate Ive ever met.
Worst pharmacy, worst customer service! The woman at the counter helping me was so rude!
This is the Walgreens in my neighborhood. I got my prescriptions filled here. Walgreens has been my favorite drugstore for quite some time.
Constantly having trouble getting scrips from store. phone system terrible. like pulling teeth to get order. phone says order not ready and when bypassing and going straight to pharmacist am told order has been ready for days! what gives? Manhattan/Lapalco in harvey, la.70058
Always a problem at this location. If it’s not the vagrants bothering you, it’s the locked up products that you have to ask the rude employees to open in order to make your selection. I should known how my experience would be today when the police where outside speaking to an employee about a recent incident. Never again.
Not enough workers 2/8/2019 7:45 pm. Line going to back of the store.
Disappointed in an unprofessional head pharmacist. Shut the window on my face at 10:01pm rather than stay briefly to help me pick up a prescription.
Always a line but nice staff
Everytime I have gone in there it has been unsatisfactory and I just went in today after calling about a service and was lied to that it was working.
Gross incompetence and lost two Rxs my doctor called in. They could care less.Go anywhere but here.
Im LOVE it ✔️✔️✔️✔️💊💊💊💊💊
Poor customer service and a rude pharmacy department if you dont like your job choose another!
Awesome staff
