This shop was accommodating and clean, reasonably priced and staffed with really cool people. As a group of six people visiting the area, each of us got tattoos and not a single one of us was disappointed. I have a couple of other tattoos, and honestly the one I got here is the most well done one that I have. Josh did half of the tattoos in our group, including mine, and I was blown away by his work. Im happy we decided to go with this place, were all very impressed with the shop as a whole, the staff, the guys that did our tattoos. (And between six tattoos spanning three separate days, we all spent our fair share of time here). Thanks again to everyone who helped us, you guys are the best! xx

On my recent vacation I wanted to get a tattoo to commemorate my trip and my love for one of my favorite cities. I called to ask if they take walk-ins for flash tattoos and was informed they are first come/first serve. I got there mid-afternoon and had about an hour wait (which to me is very reasonable for a walk-in). My artist was Joel, and he customized my design to fit the area of my body I wanted it on best and ensured that we had great placement. Joel was great to work with and I love the finished product! Would highly recommend for those wanting a quick, professional tattoo experience!

I got tattooed here with a friend while on vacation. The woman that did hers was amazing but the man, Tyler I believe, that did mine was terrible. Unfriendly and unprofessional. He put on my stencil while I was laying down(big no no) and then proceeded to not even tattoo on the stencil. I left with half a tattoo that has no straight lines and not in the location I agreed to.Super disappointed that I have to now figure out if these wonky wiggly lines can be fixed on the two words he did. Absolutely would never recommend this man to anyone ever

Joel did me and my wifes tattoos. Very professional, experienced and high quality work. Could tell cleanliness and health safety were high priorities. I would recommend calling ahead and setting up an appointment. Multiple artists on site but were pretty well booked. Prices were fair and I will recommend this place to anyone interested.Also in the middle of Frenchmen St. In the heart of New Orleans. Lots of jazz clubs and food nearby to add to the experience. Great for locals and tourists.

First I would like to start by saying I have a lot of tattoos. It’s been over 5 years since I have been tattooed. I scheduled with Joel. Never receive any artwork for my tattoo. The day of he drew directly on my hand. Due to the markings being so crude it was hard to see the direction. I was told this was a rough outline and more details would be added. I wish i would have left then but I decided to continue. Once we began Joel lifted my hand in the air multiple times.Another flag. This causes the lines to be uneven and inconsistent due to the pressure and lack of stability. That night upon leaving I was really unable to see everything clearly due to the hand drawn lines still being present. Once the tattoo began to heal it was evident that not only did a majority of the ink fall out. The lines of the tattoo were not tight. I called and sent photos. To be told to call the same artist or have the work corrected by another artist. Which after the work I currently have makes me uncomfortable. Further more the lack of concern regarding the quality of work performed makes me question the integrity of the artist. I will be going back to my long time artist and paying to have this corrected. Never again.

Nothing but great things to say about this place. I researched and read many reviews about different shops on both the East and West Bank and kept coming back to Electric Ladyland. I didn’t know exactly how I wanted my final tattoo to look. I wanted to work with an excellent artist that could help bring my ideas into a cohesive design. I chose Chris and could not be any happier.When I walked in the shop for my consultation, I was immediately impressed with how clean it was. Upon meeting Chris, I knew I was in good hands. Chris was extremely professional, clean, welcoming, and kind from the consultation to the final cleanup. I had only given him a few vague ideas about how I wanted my tattoo to look: a steel magnolia with a steam punk influence that has rivets so you know it’s made of steel, and a green dragonfly. The moment he showed me his sketch I was blown away by how great it looked. The finished product turned out even better than I could have imagined. Chris is extremely talented and I would recommend him to anyone.In short, nothing but a five star experience with Electric Ladyland and with Chris. If you want a great experience, this is the place to go!

Excellent artists there especially if you are local, they take their time and effort to ensure your tattoo is what you wanted. Also customer service is AMAZING they definitely get back with you by phone or email.

Marc did a set of vampire teeth for me while one of the other artists did a set on my friend. We were in nola for 3 days and didnt plan ahead. We called and got set up but they had no appointments available. But they said they had some walk ins the next morning if we could get there early. We showed up and waited around a bit joking with Sam at the front desk. 10/10 customer service.Ill update this as my tattoo heals but I am super pleased with the work and recommend Marc and electric lady to everyone looking for work done in nola. I went to get a Helix piercing, I was a bit scared Id admit. BUT.... I had Jared as my piercing consultant, he walked me through the procedure, sterilization and during the process. It was super quick and painless. I asked him a million questions, in which he answered professionally, patiently, and with in-depth knowledge. I was totally comfortable after receiving the information. Prices were exactly as quoted over the phone as well, a definite plus. I hate when prices change when you show up to a place.

Awesome artists, amazing tattoos, and it wont break the bank! I got tattooed by Chris and my husband got tattooed by Dan, we got them as a permanent souvenir from our New Orleans Honeymoon! If you want a tattoo that will take longer than 30 minutes then this is NOT your place. They will literally turn you away even if you have money in hand. Girl up front was really nice and everything, just didnt understand why they refused to do the tattoo saying they were just too booked but literally took three little tattoos while we stood there talking to her.

I visited New Orleans on vacation in July and went to Brianna for my first ever tattoo. It was an amazing experience! Brianna was such a sweet person. She kept everything clean and changed her gloves frequently. She was very gentle and the tattoo healed nicely. I love it so much! I’m wanting to extend the piece she did now, but I’m having trouble finding someone local that’ll bring it to life the way she did. It was wonderful chatting with her and getting a piece of her art on me forever. If you’re ever in the area, go to her!

The gray and white picture is what I asked for with the red star and the word added, and the color is what I got. I asked to see albums when I came in because I am putting something permanent on my body (I have several tats) and after seeing my piece the desk clerk kind of blew me off because it was easy. But as you can see he didnt really take his time to make sure the lines are clean on the star shapes or that the spacing was good, just kind of sped through. Its an okay tat but definitely could have been better. I didnt try to low ball them either. So make sure you ask for books. Especially at a shop in the main area of a downtown where they get tourists constantly and because of that tend to take things less seriously...

Chris DeAngel did my work and I am very impressed and happy with the work he did. This was not my first tattoo by far but I think it is one of the best! I live three hours away but I am definitely going back for more!

An upon arriving I was asked to wait outside after telling them we had an appointment for 2minutes for her to tell me Im sorry but the piercing person did not show up for work today. Got quoted for this tattoo. Super basic and not big in size about 2 inches by 3 inches and they wanted minimum $120. Go somewhere else, lots of other places that are clean and actually reasonable price.

Last September Me, my husband, and a group of friends came down to New Orleans from Dallas, TX. I knew I always wanted to get a tattoo while traveling and looked up a few reviews on Electric Ladyland. I sent in an email with my request and with in a matter of minutes I got a reply back. They were very transparent and detailed. Chris asked me multiple questions to make sure he got everything right. Honestly Chris was amazing and I cant recommend him enough!! Will possibly get another when we head down this September. If you are looking at a tattoo parlor this is the one.

Came in as a walk-in to get a tattoo to mark my 50th bday. Looked through some New Orleans flash and picked out a little voodoo doll, and had them ad New Orleans- 2-23-18. Price was more than reasonable! New Seattle transplant artist Sam did a quick and excellent job, and my girlfriend got the same tattoo by him right after I was finished. Great place, friendly people. And even recommended a cool bar down the street. Highly recommended!

Writing this review 7 years after I was there to get the skull tatty on my thigh. I have 30+ tattoos and this one is by far the best quality. The ink has stayed fresh and the line work is amazing. I’ll be heading back there next month to get my next one. If you’re in NOLA, this is the place to be.

Who would have thought Id be getting a tattoo? Well, on a short layover to NOLA, I mustered up the courage to get my first tattoo.I was walking around the area and happened upon Electric Ladyland Tattoo. My artist new I was a virgin and treated me with the greatest care. I am so thrilled with the results, Im considering a second Tattoo! Thank you for the excellent service!
